12 Angry Men: The Television Version (2011)

Television expert Ron Simon discusses the 1954 Studio One broadcast of the play 12 Angry Men. The episode has pretty much been forgotten over the years due to Sidney Lumet's masterpiece film but now that it has been released as a bonus feature more people are going to check it out. Simon does a wonderful job in his fourteen minutes to discuss the importance of television at this point in history and he goes into great detail about the CBS and the Studio One show. We get to hear what a night was like on CBS at that time and we learn the production schedule for something like this episode. On this disc this piece is called an "introduction" but you don't want to watch it before the episode because this does feature a lot of spoilers. After viewing the episode this makes for a great education on it.
