Vincente DiSanti and Drew Leighty in Never Hike Alone (2017)

Trivia

Never Hike Alone

Edit
Kyle finds numbered forensic police tags scattered throughout Camp Crystal Lake. Each tag marks the location a victims body was found after the events of Vendredi 13 (1980). Kyle first finds number 6 marking Marcy, then 3 marking Steve Christie, 2 marking Jack and Ned, 5 marking Brenda, 4 marking Bill and finally 1 on the lake-shore marking the spot where that films antagonist Pamela Voorhees is decapitated by final-girl Alice.
An interesting omission in this film is that although Jason's mask has been replicated to be as close as possible to the classic hockey mask worn by Jason since him acquiring it from Shelly posthumously in Meurtres en 3 dimensions (1982) (even though the mask itself changes size, color and damage markings between films), it does not have the signature three red chevrons on the lower forehead and cheekbones. Canonicly Jason's mask is a Detroit Red Wings hockey mask as indicated by it's design and aforementioned chevrons.
Is widely regarded as one of the best Friday the 13th fan-made films
The Mobile app Friday the 13th: Killer Puzzle game added a chapter including Kyle McLeod and a Jason Voorhees resembling this movie's Jason dubbed Ghost Jason (no chevrons on the hockey mask). The addition was added on 13th July 2018 (a Friday.)
Calculating Jason's age from his birth date of 13th June 1946 (a Thursday the 13th) and accept the film takes place on the films release date 13th October 2017 (a Friday the 13th), Jason would be 71 years, 4 months and 1 day old in this film. The film acknowledges the Pamela Voorhees murders occurring in the early 1980's according to Kyle's recollection (Friday, June 13, 1980 in the original Vendredi 13 (1980)), but does not clarify which other entries it acknowledges if any. This is pertinent to whether Jason is alive or undead as he is from Vendredi 13, chapitre VI : Jason le mort-vivant (1986) onwards. The film leaves it vague and leaves his canon/mortality up to the viewer as Jason's makeup could be taken either way and does not indicate any canon scars or identifying marks such as the axe-mark on the left forehead acquired in Meurtres en 3 dimensions (1982) and included in every film thereafter, (including pre-placed on the replacement mask in Vendredi 13, chapitre VIII : L'Ultime Retour (1989) after the original mask from Friday the 13th Part III was destroyed at the end of the preceding film Vendredi 13, chapitre VII : Un nouveau défi (1988).)
