Not as bad as you think....

Okay first off, i am NOT a Call of Duty fan boy! I review games based on my personal opinion and experience. The multiplayer is nuts, all over the place, the hit detection isn't great but isn't awful eathier, the ttk(time to kill) is way to short, and the spawn points are not good. Now the Campaign is a whole different story, its awesome, its action, its a mix of battlestar gallactica, starship troopers and BOOTS ON THE GROUND....and in space lol, the only downside is its only 5-6 hours long, and then there is Zombies in Spaceland, they went with the whole 1980's retro themepark map, with 4 characters. Your typical jock, nerd, comic relief and stuck up bitch lol. Anyways it plays out like a movie where instead of rounds, their called scenes. You got tons of easter eggs from past COD games. Overall this is the best Cod in the past 5 years! Just play it, try it. Don't knock it until you've tried it. Plus if you bought the legacy edition, you got call of duty 4 MW REMASTERED. and by god its beautiful!! 7/10 cod IW 9/10 MWR

    CAMPAIGN 10/10 MULTIPLAYER 7/10 ZOMBIES 9/10

I recently bought this game, and it's great!

CAMPAIGN Space battles, engaging storytelling and tons of fun gadgets make this campaign an absolute example for black ops 3 and if it did have a campaign, black ops 4.

MULTIPLAYER I'll keep this one short, not enough balance, to much camping and this damned loot boxes.

ZOMBIES An entertaining mix of menace and hilarity resulting in a fun wave shooter that anyone with ten fingers and hands can enjoy.

CONCLUSION Insanely unnecessary hate reviews brought this game down the ranks of COD games, play this or any of the old black ops games and modern warefares, BUT NO MW 2019!

A diamond in the dirt (Campaign only review)

Lets get this out of the way; it's impossible to talk about this game without mentioning the extreme amount of backlash that was spawned from the release trailer. The build-up to the release trailer saw a huge spike in the numbers of individuals who were 'tired of jet pack warfare', essentially, people were sick of the futuristic Call of Duty's and they wanted a more 'Boots on the ground' experience. Fortunately, Activision saw the way the wind was blowing and bundled MW: Remastered with infinite Warfare (Which is probably one of the only reasons IW actually sold many copies).

Anyway, enough with the marketing and business motives, lets move onto the game: Right, so I'm going to be perfectly honest; I came into this game with pretty much zero expectations, baring mind that this game came straight off the bat from BO3 that had a campaign that I just really could not get behind. However, with infinite Warfare I was blown away by the campaign, it tackles themes of responsibility and hardship that mixes together to make an emotional experience, (I'm doing my best to avoid spoilers) and I think it's partly so effective because of the fact that it's Call of Duty, a franchise not particularly known for its hard-hitting themes and truly emotional storylines (At least in recent years).

Nevertheless, I believe we should move onto the bread and butter of Call of Duty; the gameplay. First off, the general movement and gunplay complement each other as many of the weapons feel smooth and fairly light in their weight and power, (Not saying the weapons are underpowered, simply suggesting that they don't have that 'heavy, uncontrollable killing machine' vibe) however, this feeling can make some of the guns feel too light and oddly generic when in comparison with each other. Also, when talking about the weapons and overall gameplay, I feel that It would be a crime to not talk about the class customisation; it offers you a wide variety of equipment and weapons and while it's not as expansive as something like BO2 or BO3's campaign, it offers enough to satisfy and leave you with some contentment with your class.

I believe we should also talk about the space combat and how utterly amazing it is. This feature is so fun and gives you a decent amount of freedom (Which it should since you spend most of your playtime in the cockpit) but I must bring to your attention, If you do NOT like space/fighter combat, you'll find it hard press to enjoy this game but I'd still recommend picking it up and at least trying it.

Anyhow, I'd say this review is just about done, it's getting a little too long and I think I've what needs to be said. In summary:

Go get this game. If you look past the hate and stigma behind this overlooked gem you might get an experience that you haven't felt in a while from Call of Duty.

    Keep being awesome, peace out.

    loved this game's campaign

Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for The Act Man to do a "Why Fallout New Vegas Was So Awesome I feel like Infinite Warfare would be such a great game if it was its OWN game instead of using the COD title. I honestly don't care what other people think, I thought the campaign was pretty good except for the way you kill the main antagonist it was kind of unfulfilling. And zombies was pretty good (Edit: I loved multiplayer. As someone who doesn't play online by following guidelines of this site "downsights", I love the fact that you can play gun game with bots or that the bots were actually decent opponents)

    WAYYYY BETTER than people say!

Everyone told me that this game sucked and I went ahead and played it for myself and I don't understand why people hated it. It's not perfect, but it's great in terms of campaign overall.

When the creators of this game were interviewed they seemed very passionate about this project and that passion really comes through in the game itself! The whole game drips with effort!

People said this is the worst COD. I don't get it! I think this is one of the best COD games!

The game is gorgeous! The settings have so much detail and there's always something going on in the image.

I like how it goes against the COD formula. Like with the mini boss fights, the side missions, and the most wanted cards, all of which are fun to do.

There's a lot of variety when it comes to the gameplay. You have all-out war, stealth, space gunfights, horror, and dogfights! Every one of them is intense and exciting in their own way.

All of the acting is great! Especially from Kit Harington, David Harewood, and Jim Pirri.

This has some of the best dialogue of any Call of Duty game. I walked away from every mission quoting lines. There are lines that are badass and ones that are genuinely funny.

The violence can be gory and satisfying, but also horrific.

All of the characters are likable and memorable, even the ones that don't have much to them. And you're afraid that any of them could die. And when one dies you feel bummed.

The SDF, despite some issues that I'll get into, are threatening as an antagonistic faction, and Salen Kotch (awesome name, seriously) is a good character in the sense he represents everything the faction is about. And boy oh boy do you HATE Kotch and the SDF! Harington brought a stubbornness, ruthlessness, and arrogance to the role that really made you anxious to kill Kotch. And the SDF is made up of a bunch of self-righteous, entitled fascist pigs who murder fleeing civilians and enjoy it, so you take a lot of satisfaction in shooting them.

In the few moments he was on screen, Conor McGregor was plenty intimidating.

I love the character designs! And all the designs for the soldiers and robots!

Personal point: I couldn't help but wonder what this game would be like as a Star Fox game. Think about it!

Now for my issues: The characters, namely Kotch and Reyes, are kind of clichéd. But you still like to watch them.

They should have covered the origins of the SDF with a playable prologue. Show the Succession War as opposed to telling me about it.

There are so few opportunities to use the wall running function that you wonder why they bothered to put it in in the first place.

I couldn't help but wonder to myself why it needed to be a COD game. It could be something completely separate.

Just a heads-up, and this might just be a matter of personal preference, but I played this game on both Xbox and computer and in my opinion it's best suited for computer. Especially when it comes to the dogfighting.
