At the AnimeJapan 2025 expo in Tokyo, Toho Co., Ltd. revealed a teaser trailer and key art for the eighth and final season, which will pit protagonist Deku against the villain Shigaraki.

Set in a world where approximately 80% of the population possesses supernatural abilities known as Quirks, “My Hero Academia” chronicles the journey of Izuku Midoriya and his classmates at U.A. The Niigata International Animation Film Festival returns to the Chubu region city in spring for a six-day event from March 15 to 20. Studio Bones' popular Bungo Stray Dogs anime series has received a new line of boots from fashion boutique Mayla. The footwear is available for fans to purchase internationally and is inspired by the characters Osamu Dazai, Atsushi Nakajima and more.

Mayla's new boots collection, inspired by the popular Bungo Stray Dogs anime, is dubbed the "Bungo Stray Dogs Iconic Shoes Object Booties." Each pair of boots retails for 29,000 yen (around US$184), with color choices taking clear inspiration from the popular characters Atsushi Nakajima, Osamu Dazai, Ryunosuke Akutagawa and Chuya Nakahara. Kadokawa Corporation announced on Nov 7, 2024, that its anime and live-action video business achieved significant growth in the second quarter of fiscal year 2024, with revenue soaring 26.7% year-on-year to 14.406 billion yen.

As reported by prtimes.jp, Joysound gathered survey results from its users between September 20 and October 6, 2024, releasing its findings on November 4, 2024, showcasing a mix of anime and video game characters among its user base's top favorites of the year. Some results were typical shnen mainstays, while others are signs of particularly strong recent anime series.

Founded in 1992 by Xing Inc., Joysound is Japan's first online karaoke brand, providing its services over the decades, including on video game consoles and mobile apps. Per PR Times, online karaoke service Joysound conducted a series of surveys to determine the nation's top "oshikatsu" characters, or characters that are enthusiastically supported and loved by fans. The polling period lasted from Sept. 20-Oct. 6, 2024, and consisted of 2,920 total participants. Satoru Gojo -- the cheerful and charismatic mentor of Jjk lead Yuji Itadori -- was voted the #1 most popular character among Joysound users for the second year in a row. Bungo Stray Dogs: Beast doesnt shy away from making the storyline darker than it already was. The main protagonist, Atsushi, is plunged into a role that doesnt fit his kind personality, whereas Akutagawa is pulled into a role most foreign to him. Yet, the greatest and most shocking change comes from none other than Osamu Dazai, who is revealed to have an even greater understanding than anyone first assumed.

Studio Bones, the renowned animation studio behind popular series like Fullmetal Alchemist and My Hero Academia, has unveiled details about its newest sub-studio, Studio F.

This revelation came during an interview with Studio Bones co-founder Toshihiro Kawamoto at AnimagiC 2024, as reported by Anime Spiegel on Aug 9, 2024.

Kawamoto said that Studio Bones is currently composed of six sub-studios, named Studio A through Studio F.

“Studio F is currently the newest and smallest studio,” Kawamoto shared during the interview, noting that the studio is already working on a yet-to-be-announced project.
