Ana María Estupiñán in La niña (2016)

FAQ

La niña

FAQ

I've been working on a Season 2 for La Nina myself for over a year. I've written 23 Chapters and am on Chapter 24. It's very exciting. BUT unless there are major changes coming in the Colombian legal system, I don't believe there can be a Season 2 because it is simply too dangerous for all of the participants.

Right now you can read the first 22 chapters on Facebook. It's free. I was hoping Netflix or Caracol Internacional would pick it up but after reading what has happened with the top Army officials in Colombia I don't see it happening.

The problem was that my imagination was converging with real life. This was something the original writers had to deal with as well. But then, it was speculation based on recently false positive murders. Now it's documented history and the scope of it is mind boggling.

My book may exist outside of Colombia where people don't care so much, I haven't decided yet.

If it does go forward, it will be with a complete change of cast for their own safety.
