The movie title and the synopsis are very misleading, I thought it was gonna be a horror/thriller so the actual plot was disappointing. While I did enjoy the performance of the actors, it couldn't carry the movie. The not-so-surprising "plot twist" came half way through the film so it became very boring after that. Overall, wouldn't recommend.
To those who are trying to figure out whether to watch it: pay attention to where it says "Genre: Drama", and not so much to the title which can be misleading.

It's well that the utter flatness of this film was shot in 18 days and no more time was wasted for everybody involved. The actors are decent enough, but the rest is so dull and unintelligent on every level you can imagine that I cannot recommend it even as a curiosity.
Cosmo Jarvis looks like he is about to take over from Tom Hardy as the next big male lead.
His large presence in both stature and performance speaks volumes. Nocturnal is an intriguing tale of a friendship between 16 year old Laurie and 33 year old Pete, there is an underlying current to the friendship with a grey area as to why...

Great indie film. Cosmo Jarvis absolutely crushed. Details mattered and great visuals - see parts of the UK you never get to see, even if you've lived there. Film left me shook in a good way. Characters really take you for a ride.
I was lucky enough to watch this film at the BFI festival and I haven't stopped thinking about it since. It never underestimated its audience; the characters are constantly in psychological motion, and the audience are artfully conveyed on their journey. We get to know them, walk with them, laugh, hate and grow with them. I couldn't recommend this beautifully shot piece more!

Generally good film, but Adam Kerr's performance in the night club evokes feelings of Marlon Brando's golden years. Fully recommend, if only for Kerr's crowning depiction of modern dance culture.
