Sunshine Becomes You is a novel I read when I was in high school, and I remember loving it so much. Then, in 2025, I came across this movie on Netflix. It was so bad. There was no chemistry between the two main leads, and the actress who played Mia Clark definitely couldn't act at all. Many scenes felt awkward and cringe-worthy. That stairs-fall scene..... it looked like something out of an Indian soap opera. I didn't feel happy about this movie adaptation, i just cringed the whole time.
The only reason I gave it a 5-star rating was because it was set in the U. S. Otherwise, I'd say-just read the novel and never watch the movie.

I read the novel before watching this movie. The scenes were actually well-captured, but the main lead actress' acting is not convincing enough for me. I can see how stiff the acting is, and sometimes the way she talks. There were some funny scenes to melt the ice, at least.
I read the novel 3 times and I still get the same feeling every time I read it. I don't know if it's just me, but I prefer the novel more than the movie.

The main actrees supposed to be juliard graduate dance teacher but her dancing is not good at all. The male character also can't dance. And the fall scene, seriousely? #barf.
