In a future where corporations battle against sovereign nations over the last of the world's energy supplies, young engineer Renton and Hannah find themselves attempting to save an experimental energy technology that could end the wars. The catch is, the technology has created a time loop that causes them to relive a deadly home invasion over and over again. They must figure out how to stop the time loop and come out of it alive.

While the main male character explains how time is looping he draws several circles on a virtual white board. He mentions that time loops every 3 hours 14 minutes and 15 seconds. The ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter, is commonly approximated as 3.1415, commonly known as Pi.

Goofs
Sonny saves Cuz from being electrocuted in the loop no. X, but this should not be possible, since the loop begins from the short circuit Cuz makes by electrocuting himself. Therefore the loop should always start from Cuz being already electrocuted. The characters assumed it was Cuz's death, but another character noted that one quickly kicked Cuz away from the machine, therefore saving his life, but may have had enough contact to re-start the time-loop.

Low budget time loop movie

I saw Edge of Tomorrow a few months ago, and ARQ is a movie best scene when it's been so long since you've seen a good time loop movie that your standards aren't too high. Because Edge of Tomorrow is a lot better.

In this movie, a man keeps going through the same eventful couple of hours as masked thugs invade his home. There's more to it than that, of course, and he finds himself dealing with a variety of circumstances in a variety of ways.

It's all perfectly adequate as time loop stories go, but it lacks the sort of clever touches one expects from mind-breaking fiction, although I did like a revelation close to the end.

This is a low budget movie that all takes place on a handful of sets in an ordinary house. The dystopian background is generic and the acting is more functional than anything else.

It's fine, if you have nothing better to watch.
