Having been to Rwanda and knowing a little history about the Hutu's , Tutsi's and the genocide, I felt a lot of this movie very deeply. The betrayal , sadness , hope ,abuse , brokenness and forgiveness in this movie was done so vividly that one would become , as I did, quite emotional while watching it. The movie depicted a lot of things too numerous to share in this brief post but the hope in humanity and the unlikely people that it came from was refreshing. In each of the families you see what really is important to them regardless of their circumstances . It is family . It doesn't matter if you're a refugee fleeing genocide or or wealthy man living in suburban Nashville. The most beautiful part of it all is the parallel between our brokenness as a result of sin and God's forgiveness to us through Jesus. I do believe you would thoroughly enjoy this. One of my favorite movies this year.
This is a faith based movie and we all as Christains and Humans can learn from this movie. Go and watch it please.
A movie that will engage the audience and touch the heart throughout. A true story that brings people a world a part together in an amazing way. A journey that changes the path of so many lives in a glorious way!
I saw the movie, "Beautifully Broken", this evening. It's an inspirational true story of 3 families that have endured tragedy and were in some way brought together and help each other to heal. I would highly recommend it.
"God can use our Brokenness and make something beautiful out of that causing us to be instrumental in helping others."

You do not have to believe in God to see the beauty in this movie. I've read the reviews and several people will say it's cliche or too religious. All I saw was a wonderful independent film about how faith in God becomes faith in your ability to help others. If they took God out it would still be an absolutely strong story of how three families overcome pain and come together because of their commitment to be better people. When I look around my world today after seeing this movie I can find many places where I could help and wish everyone could experience this in hopes that we as a culture start thinking of others before ourselves.
