In press interviews creator, writer, director and cast member Will Sharpe answered the question of whether the show would return for a third series by saying that he was not sure. He said "I feel like I've said everything I have to say for now with the characters in this world." However, he added, "For now - never say never."
Creator Will Sharpe has said "I have type two bipolar. So a lot of the stuff that I'm writing about is not directly from experience, but obviously my worldview is affected by that." The show's production also worked closely with the mental health charity Mind to make sure Season two portrayed Amy's struggle with Bipolar disorder in a respectful and accurate way.
