In the scene where the pigs are in the rye, three topless men played the pigs. Maiken Schmidt, who played Krõõt, had no idea that pigs were replaced by men so it came a total surprise to her when "pigs" actually started coming when she called them.

This was done because the real Vargamäe has too many modern infrastructure and new houses, and the landscape has changed considerably since the 19th century.
