Acting and the story are just awful, all the possitive responses have reviewd and rated all the same films, I had to check because it does not make any sense to rate them that high.

Are you all High? That movie was terrible. It had potential but it was poorly done.

I really want to have a conversation with one of this persons that gave 10 at this buffoonery. the acting , the body language and the way the story develops was one of the worst that i ever saw.

Story and acting are absolutely horrible, which is evident really early on

Watching this made me feel like I was watching some little kids playing 'let's pretend' or dressing up and making the thing up as they go along. The script was disjointed, the acting lame. I can't believe the positive reviews are real. I can't think of anyone I know that would enjoy this or rate it more than 3...

I see a lot of people destroying this film and I can understand why. It'a a B Movie with definitely some problems in the script. The rating I gave is to be put in the context of the italian cinema. In the last years in Italy we mainly saw dumb and badly filmed comedies and pretentious dramas clogging the theaters, so a movie like this is a project that only deserves support. I also think that it's not badly acted and that visually it's nicely done for what it could be. The script is flawed and has some pacing problems (it didn't need to last 2 hours) but the story is interesting and relatively original even if the ties with the Odissey are very loose. I also don't know why all the positive reviews here are clearly fake, but I want you to know that there are real people who actually liked the movie and has good reasons to do so.

To be sure creative adaption, even complete inversions of archetypical characters and stories, if perfectly legitimate and often generates some of the best art. Formal structure is also not a prerequisite to a good avant-garde film.

I saw, 'Ulysses: a Dark Odyssey" screened at Turin, and half the audience walked out, because even with all the above caveats, it is, in short, an absolutely terrible, jarringly bad film, and made worse by a complete lack of acting talent. Everyone involved should be thrown out of the film business.

Poor acting, confused script and incredibly boring

Poorly written script, loosely ties to the classic.... which is why I started watching it.

Didn't get half way through it, it was too hard to watch.

...about this movie is the "Review" ratio. I've never seen a "film" ratioed like this before, amazing, bravo, 10/10 off-the-chart.

Bought this brand new DVD $3 in a Canadian Dollarama dollar store. I usually take pride of being able to watch the whole length of any movie. This one I could not, which is very unusual. In fact I do not remember when is the last time I could not watch a movie in its entirety. Sound quality poor. Pompous-titled movie seems to be on a budget. Too many close-ups. Disheveled plot with not much to get hooked on- thus loosing me. Seems that macho producer A. Z. like to feature himself (as nude hairy Ulysses) in his own movie. Title should have been Narcissus not Ulysses. Key well known foreign (non -Italian) artists Dan Glover and Udo Kier hired in a failed attempt to give some credibility to the whole. This is definitely the worst movie I have ever bought in a Dollarama in the last 10 years. Many B&W DVD movies from the 1940's from Dollartree are way better.

Firstly, all of the so-called positive reviews have to be fake, either that or they've been reviewing the wrong movie.

Shot in Amateurvision (tm) acted out by whoever applied for the roles, without any auditioning, this movie has nothing at all to grab your attention. Even though we all know Udo Kier only appears in terrible movies, even this is beneath his stature and as for Danny Glover, he must have been desperate to "Star" in this hideous offering, but he looked so bored too, woodenly delivering his dialogue thinking of his pay cheque - presuming he got one.

There are no redeeming features to this immense waste of time and I'm usually the sort of person who will sit through a movie, just to see its completion...not a chance with this, got 34 minutes into the 2 hour run time before pulling the plug.

Seeing the opening "Action" scene sealed the fate of this movie for me, tracer fire was terrible CGI as was the explosion that must have been a stock effect, as it was laughable.

My suggestion would be to avoid this title like the plague and look elsewhere for your entertainment, because if you watch this movie to the end, you will be sorely disappointed and wishing you could get 2 hours of your life back.

My score was based on the simple reality that you cannot have a zero figure, so got the bare minimum, if I had an Amateurvision (tm) camera and some buddies from the pub, throw in a few extras from the chip shop, then even I could produce something far better than this drivel, avoid at all costs - you have been warned!!

Just ignore all the negative reviews, this movie is a 10 star movie all day long very witty and on spot acting!

Watched the movie and loved it. Went to the fan showing and took my whole family again a few days later.

I love this movie!! The story lines are great and the acting is too.

The movie can be a bit confusing but it's a one that speaks about values and friends and of how we should embrace change. It's a very different avengers movie. But it's definitely worth a watch.

Don't listen to all these hate. The movie is very nice. I enjoyed the movie well. I don't know why some people hate it but I like it much.

If you look at my reviews, I only take the time to review/rate things I either really liked or really hated. I freaking loved this movie and honestly can't think of anything bad to say.

What a story of survival and courage. I wasn't aware this even happened but so glad I'm now aware of what happened!

One of the best movies of all time, perfect balance of humour and amazing story telling, action scences, acting and story telling.

Overall this movie is excellent. It doesn't take much thinking to watch, but definitely excites.
