Funded using a Kickstarter campaign, Joss Whedon reportedly heard about the production and donated to the campaign. As a thank you, Jesse L. Martin, Rick Cosnett, and Carlos Valdes posted a video on YouTube singing an a Capella rendition of the Ballad of Serenity - the theme song from Whedon's series "Firefly."
The majority of the people working behind the scenes were either performers or technical crew from Flash (2014).
