Ah, the British charity shop—a magical land of mismatched mugs, questionable knitwear, and that one wedding dress that’s seen more drama than a Love Island reunion. In Easy Sell, directors Ken Abalos and Ash Meshkati take this humble high street setting and turn it into a masterclass in cringe-comedy, where every awkward pause, side-eye, and inexplicable knick-knack builds toward a gloriously unhinged climax. No spoilers, but trust us—you won’t see it coming. The film thrives on the gap between the shop’s dreary reality and the sheer absurdity of its central deal—a negotiation so bizarre it makes Brexit look straightforward. With their ad-world precision, Abalos and Meshkati weaponise every frame,...

One Night Only has found its leading duo. The upcoming movie is set to be directed by Will Gluck, who recently struck box office gold with the 2023 romantic comedy Anyone But You, which grossed a whopping $220.3 million against its reported $25 million budget. The Anyone But You cast was led by Glen Powell and Sydney Sweeney.
A new duo is stepping into the leads for One Night Only, which was also written by Gluck, revising the original Black List script by Travis Braun. The tweaks he made are unknown, but the original storyline was a comedy tweak on The Purge where premarital sex is only legal for one day, leaving single people rushing to find partners.
Deadline reports that Monica Barbaro and Callum Turner will play the leads in One Night Only, which is in the works with Universal Pictures. They also report that the actors were both high on Gluck's...

Exclusive: After hitting it big with the Sydney Sweeney-Glen Powell rom com Anyone But You, Will Gluck hopes lightning strikes twice as he looks to have landed on another pair of young stars to light up the screen for his next feature. Sources tell Deadline, Monica Barbaro and Callum Turner are set to star in One Night Only for Universal Pictures. Sources also tell Deadline the film will bow on Aug. 7, 2026. Gluck will direct the project based on his rewrite of Travis Braun’s Black List script.
The script topped the 2024 Blacklist, and while it’s unknown if Gluck’s version will stray from the original story, the original draft follows two strangers who scramble to find someone to sleep with on the one night of the year when premarital sex is legal.
Gluck will produce through Olive Bridge Entertainment. Jacqueline Monetta, VP Olive Bridge Entertainment, will oversee and produce with Gluck.

War 2 North America Box Office Day 1 Potential! (Photo Credit – Instagram)
Thanks to Rrr, Jr Ntr enjoys a huge fan following in North America. We’ve seen the craze previously with Devara. But will Yrf’s spy film score the biggest Bollywood opening of 2025 in the USA/ Canada markets? Scroll below for a detailed box office analysis.

From the moment Landman season 2 was announced, I’ve had one pressing question: how do you replace a presence as commanding as Jon Hamm’s Monty Miller? As the sharp, calculating CEO of M-Tex, Monty wasn’t just a character; he was the pulse of Landman’s corporate world. His sudden death from a heart attack in season 1’s finale didn’t just shift the plot; it shook the entire structure of Taylor Sheridan’s neo-Western drama.
Now, with Demi Moore’s Cami Miller, Andy Garcia’s cartel-connected Gallino, and Sam Elliott joining the fold, there’s no shortage of star power lined up to step into Monty’s place. Each brings a distinct kind of authority to Tommy Norris’s (Billy Bob Thornton) oil empire, but that’s where my concern kicks in: can Landman juggle all these heavyweights without pulling itself apart?

If you follow actors (Josh Gad, Millie Bobby Brown, Anna Camp, Gregg Sulkin, Chris Perfetti or Barbie Ferreira), filmmakers (Jon Watts, Jake Schreier, Catherine Hardwicke or Andrew Ahn), production executives (from Amazon, A24, Universal/Focus Features, HBO/Max, Searchlight or Arclight Films) or journalists (from THR, Variety, Ankler, Screen Daily or Cosmopolitan) on Instagram, chances are you’ve seen images of Malta in recent days.
That’s the goal of Johann Grech, who serves as Malta Film commissioner and CEO of Malta Film Studios. The man is at the center of the Mediterrane Film Festival, which ran on the island nation from June 21-29. And while it served as a showcase of international cinema, it’s just as much a promotional tool to attract projects to Malta, which this year is celebrating a 100th anniversary of hosting international productions and toasting a rich 40 percent tax rebate incentive to keep cameras rolling in 2025 and beyond.

Landman may thrive on oil-rig chaos, corporate power plays, and sharp dialogue, but Episode 7 – All Roads Lead to a Hole – dares to do something different, and it’s why fans initially hated it. After six pulse-pounding chapters, the series hits the brakes. The oilfields go quiet. The tension simmers instead of explodes. For some viewers, it felt like filler. But look again, and you’ll find the smartest storytelling move in the whole season, even though it has the lowest IMDb rating.
This subdued hour trades spectacle for soul, peeling back layers of guilt, shifting alliances, and revealing just how much the real battles happen in boardrooms (and hearts), not just on the job site. It’s the calm before the storm, and the moment Landman proves it’s more than just another high-stakes energy drama.

Another shake-up is headed to Intelligence—and this one stings. Toya Turner has exited Chicago P.D. and won’t be returning as Officer Kiana Cook when the long-running NBC drama returns for its thirteenth season. The reason for her departure hasn’t been made public, but Turner released a short statement confirming her exit: “I’m grateful for the time I had bringing Kiana to life. Thank you to everyone who welcomed me so warmly.”
Turner’s departure is another blow to Chicago P.D., which is still feeling the effects of Tracy Spiridakos’s goodbye in the Season 11 finale and Jesse Lee Soffer’s earlier exit as Jay Halstead. It also comes as sister series Chicago Fire prepares for Season 14 without Daniel Kyri and Jake Lockett. Yes, they are indeed dropping like flies.

During his “A Closer Look” segment on Wednesday night, the NBC host first made fun of the president’s constant back-and-forth on tariffs and reminded viewers that when Trump announced the latest round of them, it was with “a chart that looked like he stole the menu from a drive-thru.”
Meyers noted that Trump “ticked off a bunch of numbers no one could read or understand,” with the tariff percentage varying from country to country. So, the “Late Night” host decided to break it down simply.
“If you’re wondering where those numbers came from, I can explain. The office of the U.S.T.R., which stands for United States Trade Representative, uses a complicated statistical method,...

Star Citizen was announced all the way back in 2012, and developer Cloud Imperium Games’ promised a spacefaring Mmo with a size and scope that would surpass anything seen before. However, more than a decade later, Star Citizen is still stuck in an Alpha build, and there’s still no full launch in the near future.
Considering these aspects, one might think that the crowdfunding for Star Citizen has likely dried. After all, who’d pay to support a game that still doesn’t have a clear future?
Star Citizen is one of the most anticipated games of the decade. (Image via Cloud Imperium Games)
However, that’s not the case, as Star Citizen has managed to cross $800 million in crowdfunding. To put that into perspective, that’s more than the budget combined for both MCU’s Infinity War and Endgame.

After the conclusion of Season 21 of Top Chef, fans were eagerly waiting for the next season. So, when Season 22 finally did drop on Bravo, expectations were quite high. It had Canada in the backdrop, and given the rich history and heritage of the country, it sounded like a perfect recipe for a powerful season. But instead of focusing on what made Canada so special, till now the show has played it safe.
The challenges have felt quite generic, and the locations haven’t fully celebrated Canadian beauty. What makes this even more surprising is that Judge Gail Simmons is herself from Canada, so the show could have gone deeper into what makes this cuisine unique.

However, as of yet, it feels like a missed opportunity, with a Reddit user also sharing their opinions on the matter.

Anna Faris — currently Down Under, where she’s close to wrapping production on the Jon Lucas and Scott Moore-directed Spa Weekend — took a break from filming to talk to The Hollywood Reporter about a side hustle for Scrubbing Bubbles. The actress appears in a new ad for the multipurpose cleaner that finds Faris undercover in a red wig and glasses while interviewing unsuspecting candidates for “the easiest job in the world.”
Below, Faris talks about the challenges of such a gig (her voice is always a dead giveaway), why Spa Weekend is one of her favorite jobs ever (she loves her co-stars) and what it was like to lose everything in the Palisades Fire (she calls it a day-by-day process).
There are so many funny lines in this Scrubbing Bubbles ad. Improv or scripted?
Some of it was improv. Probably the most nerve-wracking line — I wish I could take...

Le Sserafim has never shied away from trying something new.
The five-member K-Pop group released two wildly different EPs last year — the vibe-y, aptly named Easy, released in late February of last year, months before their U.S. festival debut at Coachella, and the experimental Crazy, which dropped on August 30.
Back with the final installment of their album trilogy, Hot, and its lead single of the same name, Le Sserafim — comprised of members Chaewon, the group’s leader, Sakura, Yunjin, Kazuha and Eunchae — is once again showing off a new side of themselves, embracing a more stripped down, groove-oriented sound. The bass and drum-heavy title track is a softer sonically than some of their previous releases, while the b-side song “Come Over” — a collaboration with J Lloyd and Lydia Kitto from the British band Jungle — has a 60s-era vibe that might make one want to grab a polka dot...

Now, meanwhile, People Magazine has obtained the official police report related to this tragedy.
The document states that Maloney’s fiancée told authorities that she and the artist (who was intoxicated) began arguing in the car after they left the New York-New York Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, where he had performed earlier in the night.
The main point of contention was whether or not Maloney had his fiancee’s jacket.

Nothing quite screams the late aughts and early 2010's like a comedy loosely related to a classic work of literature. There was She's the Man starring Amanda Bynes, which was based on the William Shakespeare play Twelfth Night. There was the absolute classic that was 10 Things I Hate About You, starring Julia Styles and the late-great Heath Ledger, which was based on The Taming of the Shrew. In 2010, one comedy came about loosely related to Nathaniel Hawthorne's The Scarlet Letter. Now, Easy A starring Emma Stone, is coming to Hulu next month.

Keanu Reeves has been acting since the 1980s, and has given the world great performances in the realm of action, adventure, drama, and even comedy. It's rare for someone whose most prolific catchphrase is "Whoah" to be able to show so much emotional depth in a wide range of roles. Reeves is known not to take himself too seriously while still being able to take on very serious roles.
The 1990s were a very rich decade for Keanu Reeves' best films, which saw him star in action-packed blockbusters like Speed, emotional indie films like My Own Private Idaho, and ensemble pieces like Bram Stoker's Dracula. His star was on the rise throughout that tumultuous time of growth, and he's been an unwavering part of pop culture ever since. In the handheld console market right now, the Steam Deck has become a household name. The console not only runs games via cloud streaming; you can also play games through its local storage as well, unlike the Ps Portal. And this unique feature keeps this console from Valve ahead of most of the contemporary handheld devices in the market.

However, two console giants, PlayStation and Xbox, are reportedly gearing up for handheld consoles, which might end the dominance of the Steam Deck in the market. That won’t be easy, but Valve’s device might fall short because of its anti-cheat policy.

Denzel Washington's career is mostly a model of consistency. Once he officially broke through with his Academy Award-nominated performance as South African activist Steve Biko in "Cry Freedom," he deftly alternated between prestige roles and strictly commercial parts. There were missteps, but you can at least understand why he signed on to a buddy comedy like "Heart Condition;" he hadn't won his Oscar for "Glory" just yet, and the opportunity to act opposite a tremendously talented performer like Bob Hoskins surely looked appealing in theory. The movie is dreadful, but neither Washington nor Hoskins phone it in.
And yet there was a sense among some in 1992 that Washington's brilliantly multifaceted performance in Spike Lee's "Malcolm X" would put an end to such frivolities as "Heart Condition" and "Ricochet." It's intriguing to consider what might've happened had the Academy not determined that '92 was the year to honor the...
