Your wait for Jack Ryan is almost over.

“Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan” premieres on Amazon Aug. 31, starring John Krasinski as a CIA analyst who’s thrust into a dangerous field assignment. Another new Prime Original series, “All or Nothing: Manchester City” will premiere next month, though the specific date is yet to be announced. It follows Pep Guardiola, the legendary coach and the team’s 2017/2018 season.

Other titles coming to Amazon in August include 2004’s “A Cinderella Story” and 2008’s “Hurt Locker” on Aug. 1. “Mother!,” starring Jennifer Lawrence and Javier Bardem, will be available on Aug. 26.

Apple has put the finishing touches on its all-star cast for Are You Sleeping, the forthcoming drama series starring Oscar winner Octavia Spencer and Masters of Sex alum Lizzy Caplan. Joining the ensemble in series-regular roles are Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad), Ron Cephas Jones (This Is Us), Elizabeth Perkins (Weeds), Mekhi Phifer (ER, Frequency) and Michael Beach (Sons of Anarchy).

Based on true-crime novel by Kathleen Barber, Are You Sleeping — which counts Reese Witherspoon among its EPs — centers on Spencer’s Poppy Parnell, a relentless investigative reporter who looks to uncover the truth behind a decades old questionable murder verdict through her new podcast.

The upcoming Apple drama series “Are You Sleeping?” has rounded out its cast, Variety has learned.

In addition to previously announced cast members Octavia Spencer and Lizzy Caplan, Aaron Paul, Ron Cephas Jones, Elizabeth Perkins, Mekhi Phifer, Michael Beach, Tracie Thoms, and Haneefah Wood have all joined the series.

The CW has fulfilled its promise, providing closure to recently cancelled freshman series Frequency and No Tomorrow in the form of newly released epilogues.

In the Frequency featurette, clocking in at just under four minutes, Frank (Riley Smith) manages to fix the ham radio and get back in touch with Raimy (Peyton List), allowing for his daughter to pass on a vital piece of information.

No Tomorrow, meanwhile, has gotten closure in the form of an extended cut of its season series finale, revealing whether an asteroid struck Earth and brought humanity to an end as we know it in the final two minutes.

The CW has axed two of its freshman dramas.

Officially canceled are rookies Frequency and No Tomorrow, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. Neither show was expected to return. No Tomorrow and Frequency were the first CW shows in years to not get additional episode pickups.

Frequency was a combination of two of the season's most popular trends: time travel and movie reboots. Starring Mad Men alum Peyton List and Nashville grad Riley Smith, the show had a small movie fan base to build on from the start. The Warner Bros. TV first-year series couldn't connect with viewers, averaging just a 0.4 rating and 1.5 million viewers — not enough to justify a back-nine pickup. The show's fate appeared to be sealed in March when CBS TV Studios tapped List for its space drama pilot Mission Control.

It’s official: The CW has axed freshman dramas Frequency and No Tomorrow, TVLine has confirmed.

The news isn’t really a huge surprise: Neither show got an order for additional episodes last fall, capping their freshman seasons at 13 episodes each. Both shows wrapped up their initial runs in January, but The CW’s president Mark Pedowitz promised that fans of both shows would get closure “on the digital side” if they weren’t renewed.

If I read The People vs Oj Simpson: American Crime Story right, they became addicted to fame because of everything their father was going through as a result of his involvement in that crime, so it's no surprise Ava felt special on Frequency Season 1 Episode 4.

There are probably a lot of people who find themselves in similar situations, but never achieve the ranks of the Kardashians. Instead, they probably just wind up feeling guilty.

Frank doesn't get the respect he deserves from anyone. He was dissed by both his adult daughter and his wife. They question either his motives or rationale far too often.

Frank's instincts are incredible. It might be difficult for Raimy to let go and trust him because she held with her the idea he was a bad cop for so long, but since they "met" as adults, he's been right at every turn.

(Spoiler alert: Please do not read on if you haven’t watched Wednesday’s series premiere episode of “Frequency”) A lot went down in the series premiere of The CW’s time travel show “Frequency,” and that ending seemed to set up for a lot more to happen as we move forward. Through their cross-time communication via an old ham radio, in 2016 Raimy Sullivan (Peyton List) successfully kept her father Frank (Riley Smith) from being killed in 1996, creating a new timeline in which he was a figure in her life into adulthood, but her mother was murdered by a serial killer called the.

Raimy always believed her father was a bad man, a bad cop, killed after he had royally screwed things up.

She found out differently on her 28th birthday, because on Frequency Season 1 Episode 1, Raimy talked to her father for the first time in 20 years.

If you've seen the movie Frequency, this story wasn't all that new to you. The movie was very similar to what played out in the pilot.

The movie was easily wrapped up in two hours, but there were differences, the most pressing being that the father wasn't a cop, but a fireman. 

That may seem like a small change, but I think it allows for a lot more exploration of Frank's story in the timeline before the alteration, if they want to go that way.

Already, so much of what we saw in the pilot has been eradicated. But what wasn't was the relationship between father and daughter.

On the series premiere of Frequency, Detective Raimy Sullivan (Peyton List) is reunited with her deceased father, Frank (Riley Smith), via a ham radio. Raimy discovers her father isn't the man she thought she knew, and their communication sets in motion a series of events that alters both of their lives.

Raimy Sullivan is a beautiful NYPD police detective. It's her 28th birthday, and she learns accidentally that her boyfriend Daniel (Daniel Bonjour) has a big surprise planned (She finds an engagement ring in his shaving kit.) But Raimy's life is far from perfect. Her father, Frank Sullivan, died two days after her 8th birthday 20 years ago. Frank also worked for the NYPD, and while working deep undercover, Frank lost his way, forgot which side he was on and was killed as a result.

Make room for the latest TV reboot on your DVR. Unlike many of the other reboots making the transition from the big screen to the small one this fall, Frequency, the CW's new drama based on the 2000 film, isn't burdened with the same kind of legacy or fervent fanbase. New sci-fi tinged procedural drama Frequency premieres tonight on The CW — an odd nostalgic mash of a cop show and a time-bending mystery involving a parallel universe. The series, based on the eponymous 2000 film, sees a daughter and father reunited through time by an old ham radio that springs to life. First Impression: The CW seems to either want superheroes or quirky romantic comedies. No Tomorrow falls into the second category.
