Great Casting

This show is much better than I expected. Unlike many others reviewing here, I wasn't much of a Leblanc fan. He is great in this role though. The supporting cast is also terrific. The wife and brother are perfect. Compared to Kevin Can Wait, for which I had high hopes, this show is miles better. I hope people give it a chance.

Family comedy, not boring, comfortable and addictive

Let's just be ourselves - the characters in MwaP seem to have settled into a great comedy-spawned-out -of-honesty area. It feels good. The characters are not perfect, their relationships parents-kids-grandparents are full of lies, tricks and power games, but all in a fun manner. They care about each other, pretty much accepted their limits and they just want to enjoy life. Simple characters, down to earth plot and comedy. Should get as many seasons as they can keep up the joy and motivation to do it.

A change of plans this man has a new life.

Just started watching this new "CBS" sitcom called "Man with a Plan" and so far it's funny and it explores the ins and outs of married life with kids as the woman and man each take on different roles. Starring one of my favorite actors Matt LeBlanc(from "Friends" and "Episodes" fame)as Adam Burns a man's who's decided to stay at home and raise his kids even though he's got his own contractor supply business on the side, and it's the Mrs. Burns(Liza Snyder)who has went back to work in the medical field. And yes as expected this brings some growing pains in the form of dealing with the kids and then both Adam and Andi have their own marriage problems. It's a typical sitcom with good one liners and funny stories as it mixes today's culture with family life, so take my advice and give "Man with a Plan" a watch.

Cancelled? That's nuts!!

I have so enjoyed this show. Solid actors, quirky actors make a great show. Along with successful writing about a real family and the situations that can come up. The only reason I think you must have cancelled it is because it is not addressing wild sex scenes or bleeding LGBT issues - which are not a issue in most average American homes. Hollywood does not understand us, and has no interest in doing so. Very sad, disappointed, let down. I just don't get it.

I was surprised

I was skeptical of this show at first, but the casting did well and kept me in for the full 4 seasons that Netflix posted. I was disappointed that seasons 3 and 4 were shorter and 4 ended pretty blah. But I still enjoyed it. I believe that I binged it in 2 days.

Great Show

Thus is a great show and brings family together to share some fun time. It should continue. Not too many options to watch a regular common day to day family. Bring this show back for us.

Pretty Darn Funny!

I just watched all four seasons of Man with a Plan becuase it was funny enough to keep going!

I laughed more than I expected to most episodes, which surprised even me. I'm a Matt LeBlanc fan from his Friends days (which is the only reason I gave this show a look) and he does a good job as a family dad, the exact opposite of Joey Tribbiani...now he has to protect his teenage daughter FROM the Joey tribbianis of the world!

Kevin Nealon Plays the brother and although his lines are often the best ones in any given episode, his toupee is very off-putting (he was more bald in the 1987 movie Roxanne, when he attacks steve Martin in the opening 5m!)

Stacy Keach is HILARIOUS as the father of both! This guy really gets comedy acting (See: two and a half men) after a career of serious roles. He has re-invented his career in the same way Leslie Nielson did in the 80s

Even the child actors were servicable for their roles

Sadly I just learned the show was cancelled earlier in 2020 which is a real shame because there simply isn't a decent, realistic, family sitcom (with real laughs, not just actors reacting with banal dialogue) that a family can watch these days.

I find it difficult to believe more people tune into Last Man Standing, Black-ish or Bob's burgers than this show...I really wish a streaming service like HULU or NETFLIX or CBS ALL ACCESS would pick up this show and continue it, it would be worth it!

We need more shows like this!!

This show gets better and better! With the recent addition of Swoosie Kurtz and Stacy Kech ( two incredible actors) it is great!! The subtle way they teach their kids to be decent human beings is so important right now! I am very picky about sitcoms and I usually pick the ones that will succeed from the beginning. This show has a great cast and great writers. I hope they just continue to grow together and not screw things up like "Two Broke Girls" and "The Big Bang" because they are no longer watchable !! Please continue to make this better and better--regular TV needs you!!!

funny, but kind of annoying

So basically each episode is Adam (Matt LeBlanc) getting into some kind of trouble and trying to hide it from Andi (Liza Snyder) and when she finds out, she usually tries to one up him and make him feel bad. That's healthy.

Good Actors

There is some top talent in this show, but the laugh track is so distracting that it practically drowns out the dialogue.

Light, breezy entertainment

Fun, light hearted show with some family sentiments. It's like watching shows from the older days, where it's just to relax with no real plot. It's one of those laugh-track shows, and it's aware of that. It was nice to watch in my opinion, first season is a bit iffy, but overall it's a nice watch

Decent Casual Viewing

The show is decent, not good not bad. Casting is Pretty good, Liza Snyder is a good fit opposite Matt. But the problem is the laugh track, it's just not right , I mean after every line they put a laugh track. It has his moments, I like the vibe of it. Overall watchable sitcom , atleast not boring.

Thunderous laugh track after EVERY LINE?

The show is not bad, but it's not particularly good either. Leblanc has some decent comedic skills, but what is just absurd is that horrible laugh track that is BLASTED after EVERY line of dialogue. Lines that would not make anybody laugh have this terrible loud laugh, and it just happens line after line after line. It just points out that the show is not that funny.

The Plan is improving

I had some doubts after the pilot but with some revisions I can see 'Man With A Plan' evolving. To see the return of Matt LeBlanc in this role as family man taking over as "Parent Captain" is quite amusing and casting Liza Snyder as Andy absolutely compliments his performance in this show. The role of teacher, Mrs Rodriguez cast with Diana Maria Riva is priceless. I love to watch her spar with LeBlanc as he fills in for the missus as room parent in daughter Emmy's kindergarten class. The chemistry & banter between Matt LeBlanc & Liza Snyder (so happy to see her return as well) is quite natural & witty compared to 'Kevin Can Wait' which is beyond painful to watch. The kids in the cast Grace Kaufman, Mathew McCann and Hala Finley are quite cute & very precocious with their repartee. Having Kevin Nealon as Adam's brother Don Burns is an added bonus! Only drawback I agree in an earlier comment regarding 'Man With A Plan' is the canned laughter. Otherwise a great show that has flourished wonderfully episode by episode, just keep 'the plans' coming..☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

episode 8 no dialogue from Emme

They finally show the youngest daughter Emme her first appearance since season 4 began......but guess what she doesn't speak LOL

but guess what Kate speaks ........ typical... they could have gave Emme Kate's only line, at least it would have made up for her not being there for the first half of season 4

Funny but lose the laugh track

Love Matt LeBlanc he's fab in anything he's in. However, the parenting skills are horrific even if funny. Funny but the kids are in charge.

Really funny!

Thanks for FINALLY giving us a funny show. Really laughing my ass of at some of the jokes and things that happen. Show is funnier than some of the other reviewers will let you believe. Reviewers saying Matt LeBlanc should do another show are not reviewing this show. I think he is perfect in his role. The show is about someone who does not really want to take up the responsibility of being a father but needs to. Matt is doing the role fine! His timing in the show is outstanding and he makes the correct faces at the right times.

I only think the brother and his wife are not so real-life and sometimes just incredible (in the negative sense of the word). That's why I give it 8 stars.

Light hearted comedy!

Another great comedy in Matt LeBlanc's career. Funny and warm at the same time. Especially the scenes and the dialogues between brothers were all well thought out. Feels as if the scenes were taken out of everyone's day-to-day lives, which is probably why it is so easy to relate to the content. The only thing I hate in the entire show is the role of Andi, who is bossy, hypocritical and simply irritating. It is confusing for me to understand what makes Adam love his wife so much despite her being so dominating and putting him down every step of the way. Every time she was trying to be cute and innocent, I wanted to take a hammer and bash her head in. Sorry for turning the review so dark so fast. All in all, a great watch and worth spending your time on it.

Welcome back Matt LeBlanc

Matt LeBlanc has had a bit of a career revival, what with 'Episodes' and 'Top Gear', so it's great that he's dipping his toe back into the world of multi-cam sitcom with this new show.

Is it perfect? No. But it proves to be entertaining enough viewing, in the same sort of way his old 'Friends' colleague Matthew Perry's 'Odd Couple' is on the same network.

The test will be whether this show can avoid the pitfall LeBlanc's previous sitcom 'Joey' fell into and build a solid supporting cast around its star. With a wife and three kids, plus a brother, it seems more likely that this will happen.

Matt LeBlanc remains as funny and likable as ever, I hope this show becomes a long-term plan for him.
