Terror T.R.A.X.: Track of the Vampire

One Time Affair

The FMV genre had a short lifespan and because of the nature of the games within got a bad wrap. I had a soft spot for them back in their day, but I understand why people didn't like them from the start or grew tired. 'Terror TRAX' is unfortunately a textbook definition of the lower end of what FMV games could accomplish.

The level of interactivity found here is terminally low. You tag along with two agents of TRAX as they get caught up in a cabal of vampires and an evil undead Dr. Helios the head of it all. What this means is you have an opportunity to choose one of two options at a time. It's not a long affair start to finish highlighting the downfall of these games. Playtime was extended by way of death, trial & error.

There's some cheesy 90's horror atmosphere to enjoy if that's your thing, but the fun factor is low. You don't get to "play". You're watching a video. I liked b-movie actor Deron McBee as Agent Graves. He brings a certain level of macho tough guy doesn't give an F energy to what is otherwise an almost boring affair. He didn't make me want to replay this mostly POV shot title again though.
