First the story can be shortened and more condensed. There are so many unnecessary scene, specially from the supporting characters. 26 episodes are way too much for such a simple story.
I like the young teenagers' version of the story, the lead actors are handsome and prettier compared to the cast of their older versions. Why not just use the same cast as they grew older, makeup and clothing can do the job. It is like watching two separate films, all the characters have changed, from appearance to their personality, and their height!! Cmon, the young version of Yu Jun-su is tall (at least 6") but the older version is short and not as handsome as the young actor. He was supposedly a popular boy in school. But the adult version is very reserve. The film didn't let us know why Jang Guk decided to changed her name? another loophole is the family just decided to let go of the accident that lead to the miscarriage of a pregnancy? Seriously?? and the mean girl Ju Da-hae just go on with her life as if nothing happened? I mean, she is even friends with Jun-su. what a psychopath!
The story line about Ju Da-hae's family is tiring and boring to watch.
A very subpar K drama

Classic Korean society always blaming the woman. Anyway, there are two major problems that completely ruined the drama. The first being the writing. The writer was creating new plot threads and doing nothing with them while having other plot threads left loose. Some major events and actions left without a follow up. No consequences were applied. The other major issue is the pacing. I can say with confidence the no one working on the project had any idea how many episodes they were making. This is why the major incident mentioned in the synopsis took 14 episodes in the past before moving to present day. It didn't leave a lot of room for the characters to develop in the present. What's even worse, none of the development from the past characters carries to the present. The only thing that was carried over is the fact that the incident happen. This created an irreversible disconnect. What's even worse than that is how every story doesn't progress or resume from the past until episode 25. The way the concluded every story is actually moronic. This drama didn't need more than 8 episodes to tell its story from start to finish.
The drama and acting was superb for this show. The storyline was especially different from any show or movie I've seen so it was a refreshing change. Great solid storyline and I was pleased with the ending. You won't be disappointed with this series!
I really enjoyed this show! I will watch it again. The cast was so fun. Loved all the characters, especially all of the parents, so cute!!
Too bad this show had to end. Nice story!!
After the absolute torture of the opening theme song (not speaking Korean it reminds me of a very bad 1970s Australian soapie theme sung to fingernails down a blackboard - apologies, the words might mean something to others but no translation was given), and a very slow first episode with lots and lots of wailing and screeching, i persevered it seems to be quite a good show so far with a good plot line, acting and character development. EDIT: great story, but the mothers have two volumes, SCREECHING and MEGA HYSTERICAL SCREECHING. I'd rate it higher but for these intolerable women.
I'm a total fangirl of Namkoong Min and am waiting patiently until his episodes really start. EDIT: it picks up in a great way when the 12 year jump happens!
Moral of this admittedly negative introduction? Skip the intro sequence if you can and you'll get a good, engaging, interesting story if you stick it out. Just hit the mute button when the screeching returns, which it does, often.
