Long before Clive Barker and the folks at Dimension Films joined forces for Hellraiser: Judgment, the former had another idea in mind: a full-fledged remake of his own 1987 horror flick.
Of course, those plans wound up being shelved in favor of Judgment, which is yet to lock down an official release date over at Dimension. But Barker’s script for Hellraiser is still floating around cyberspace, and Rob Ridenour of the Clive Barker Cast (with a tip of the hat to Bloody Disgusting) has just managed to retrieve it. Not only that, he’s even reviewed it.
It’s essential reading for any horror fan, while those familiar with the original Hellraiser will be able to spot a lot of similarities between Barker’s story template and the Hellraiser of ’87.

Later this year, Hellraiser: Judgment will have the honor of becoming the 10th instalment in Dimension’s cult horror series, but allegations of animal cruelty have threatened to cast a shadow over the Gary J. Tunnicliffe-directed flick.
Ahead of its long-anticipated release, Tunnicliffe recently appeared on the latest episode of The Movie Crypt podcast to drum up Judgment‘s arrival, not to mention all of the brutal terrors that lie in wait – hell, one actress almost passed out because a scene was so intense.
That sequence in question reportedly involves a small dog, and while Tunnicliffe explicitly stated that the animal “doesn’t get hurt” whatsoever, a vocal minority misconstrued the director’s comments, before claiming that Hellraiser: Judgment contains scenes of animal torture. That couldn’t be further from the truth, though, according to Gary J. Tunnicliffe, who tackled those allegations in a new interview with Dread Central.

After the recent appearance of Hellraiser: Judgment director Gary J. Tunnicliffe on Adam Green and Joe Lynch’s Movie Crypt podcast (during which he discussed the flick), we caught up with the filmmaker to address allegations of animal torture within the as-of-yet unreleased film. “Well, as usual it’s a case of two plus two equals five,” Tunnicliffe […]

When Gary J. Tunnicliffe waxes lyrical on the Hellraiser series, it’s worth standing up and taking notice.
Now on the verge of its tenth instalment, Hellraiser: Judgment, Tunnicliffe recently appeared on the latest episode of The Movie Crypt podcast (h/t Bloody Disgusting), in which the series veteran and frequent make-up artist teased some of the brutal horrors in store.
Directing from his own script, Hellraiser: Judgment is very much a passion project for Tunnicliffe, who told hosts Adam Green and Joe Lynch that he’s never had as much fun – nor has he worked so hard – during the production of Judgment. And yes, the end product will be fluent in scares and gruesome deaths.
I had the most fun on that I’ve ever had, and I’ve never worked so hard on a Hellraiser film, but we had a great time. We did two sequences where… one the actress almost passed out…...

We still have no idea what’s happening with Hellraiser: Judgment in terms of the release strategy, and our only real source of information about the new franchise film has been its passionate director, longtime series makeup artist Gary J. As hard as it may be to believe, we're heading toward the tenth move in the Hellraiser franchise. It's been 30 years since Clive Barker's original classic horror movie debuted, and five years since Hellraiser: Revelations arrived on the scene, which wasn't particularly well received. Still, Hellraiser: Judgment, which has been in development for a long time and can't seem to find its way to release, is forthcoming and will introduce us to a new pinhead. Now, a new image of Paul T. Taylor as Pinhead has arrived online.
Several images from Hellraiser: Judgment have been released online, but this is arguably our best look at the new Pinhead. It's been tough for horror fans to accept anyone other than original actor Doug Bradley, who played the part in every movie prior to Hellraiser: Revelations, but it's happening. Hard as it may be, Paul T. Taylor does look quite good as the famed Cenobite and,...

When any actor has embodied an iconic character for an extended period, it’s only understandable that fans sometimes have a difficult time adjusting to their successors. Even in the case of a vastly talented performer like Jackie Earle Haley, there were many who just couldn’t accept someone playing Freddy Krueger other than Robert Englund. Likewise, we ask for no tears, please, regarding the third actor to play Pinhead – it’s a waste of good suffering.
As you may or may not know, Paul T. Taylor has been hired to play the most recognizable of all Cenobites in the upcoming Hellraiser: Judgment, which happens to be the tenth installment in the franchise that originated in the mind of the one and only Clive Barker. This time, though, it’s a returning Gary J. Tunnicliffe, director of 2011’s Revelations, who’ll be taking us from the pinnacle to the pit.

The new Hellraiser isn’t even out yet and I’m already falling in love with the new Pinhead, Paul T. Taylor. Taylor has the daunting role of playing the franchise’s most popular character, Pinhead, in Gary J. Tunnicliffe‘s forthcoming Hellraiser: Judgment. He’s been extremely vocal lately, doing a series of interviews about strapping on some leather and […]...

Next year will mark the 30th Anniversary of the original Hellraiser, director Clive Barker's scary classic that is still beloved by horror fans to this date. Nine sequels were spawned off of this original classic, but the franchise hasn't seen its best days, with the last installment, Hellraiser: Revelations, going straight to DVD in 2011, believed to be shot only so The Weinstein Company could keep the rights to the name. Next year, the series will scream back to life once again with Hellraiser: Judgment. Today we have a new photo from this thriller, featuring Pinhead (Paul T. Taylor) and the new villain known as The Auditor.
Bloody-Disgusting has this first look at The Auditor, although we don't know who is playing this character quite yet. The Auditor was described in a casting call as "the accountant from hell," who comes to Earth to study a persons sins, "before passing...

New Cenobites will rise in the next chapter in the horror saga Hellraiser: Judgment. Today, we have a look at two of these monstrous beings from Hell. Meet The Butcher and The Surgeon! They're definitely enough to give you nightmares. Jillyan Blundell is the one hiding under the Surgeon's mask, while Joel Decker carries the weight of The Butcher.

It is being called his personal take on the Hellraiser series, and as such, stands slightly outside of the franchise. Apparently, a complete reboot of the series is also on the way soon, with original creator Clive Barker involved.
This next sequel stars horror icon and Nightmare on Elm Sreet alum Heather Langenkamp, who is famous for playing Freddy Krueger's most infamous nemesis ever, Nancy. She appears in an ensemble cast that also includes Damon Carney,...

When I originally started digging into the alleged new Hellraiser film I had discovered that it may or may not be connected to Gary Tunnicliffe‘s passion project, Judgement. From where I was standing, it looked as if his Judgement screenplay has been pigeon-holed into becoming the next Hellraiser, currently titled Hellraiser: Judgment. When I spoke to him, he explained that it was actually the other way […]...

Earlier this month, we reported that the Hellraiser movie is shooting soon, entitled Hellraiser: Judgement. This is not the Hellraiser remake that is bringing original director Clive Barker back to the franchise, but the 10th chapter in the ongoing saga that already exists. The sequel is now confirmed to be titled Hellraiser: Judgement, with some calling it Hellraiser X: Judgement, which has make-up artist extraordinaire Gary J. Tunnicliffe confirmed to direct. Today we have a new report from Bloody-Disgusting, which confirms several new cast members, including the new Pinhead, played by Paul T. Taylor.
Paul T. Taylor is set to play the new Pinhead, with other new cast members including Heather Langenkamp as the "chain-smoking Landlady," Damon Carney as Detective Sean Carter, Randy Wayne as Detective David Carter and Alexandra Harris as Detective Christine Egerton. Before we get to even more new casting additions, the site also offered some plot details.
