The following contains major spoilers from NCIS Season 22, Episode 14, "Close to Home," which debuted Monday, March 3 on CBS.
NCIS Season 22, Episode 14, "Close to Home" is an episode that viewers will enjoy, but forget shortly after it's over. The CBS show serves up another light, easy to figure out mystery -- this time starring Jimmy Palmer. And like similar episodes in Season 22, the case of the week is more about the featured character's personal life than any sort of investigative drama.
"Close to Home" starts with Jimmy's 14-year-old daughter Victoria finding a duffel bag of cash and reporting it to Nick Torres. Relatively quickly, the team connects the money to an unsolved bank heist from 15 years prior. But the plot is secondary to Jimmy and Victoria's relationship, and NCIS reminding fans that Jimmy and Jessica Knight still have unfinished business.

The NCIS showrunner had teased that there would be obstacles to Dr. Jimmy Palmer and Agent Jessica Knight resuming a relationship.
Enter an obstacle in the form of actress Erinn Hayes.
Palmer and Knight were deeply involved until the NCIS Season 21 finale. That’s the episode where Knight received a job offer that would require her to move.
Palmer didn’t handle the situation well, and despite still having strong feelings for Knight, he put up a defensive wall to escape the relationship before getting hurt.
Knight did move to her new job, but she has since returned to the NCIS team, and it has been clear that she still has feelings for Palmer.

Mel Gibson went almost a decade without directing a movie after his war drama "Hacksaw Ridge" hit theaters in 2016. The actor-filmmaker, whose other directorial credits include "Braveheart" and "Apocalypto," has now ended his dry spell with the release of his new movie "Flight Risk." It's a very minimalistic, contained thriller that takes place on a tiny plane and centers almost entirely on just three actors for the majority of its runtime. However, some familiar voices also pop up along the way, particularly for those who are fans of a certain classic CBS sitcom.
Gibson, it needs to be mentioned, is a controversial figure who has been accused of antisemitism, in addition to having a battery charge against his ex-wife, which is largely why he doesn't work as much as he once did. But he still does, indeed, get work in Hollywood these days, as evidenced by this thriller, which is being released by Lionsgate.

Fans of the comedic star may not realize how often they see Adam Sandler's kids in his movies as well as other family members, like Sadie Sandler and Sunny Sandler, and his wife, Jacqueline. On top of starring in hit movies, Sandler produces them as well through his film production company, Happy Madison Productions. This has allowed Sandler more control over his projects, which includes embracing his desire to bring his family into his work.
Sandler's wife, Jacqueline, is an actress and a model. Besides starring in her husband's films, Jackie has appeared in movies such as The Last Summer and TV series like Kevin Can Wait. Sandler's two daughters, Sadie and Sunny, also make frequent appearances in their father's films. While some Sandler family appearances are more prominent, others can be more difficult to spot. Last week, Fox premiered the new comedy Going Dutch, about a ranting conservative father (Denis Leary) forced to reconnect with his estranged liberal daughter (Taylor Misiak). You know the father’s an unreconstructed dinosaur because he laments that it isn’t politically correct to say “midget” anymore — but at least through the episodes I’ve seen, he hasn’t made a joke about anybody’s pronouns, which feels like progress.

In the years since Survivor premiered in the year 2000, fans of Jeff Probst's beloved reality show have witnessed some incredible things. One example of that is the fact that once players are past the point when they are figuring out which seasons to watch first, they have seen many players being medically evacuated. After realizing how dramatic Survivor can be, many of those fans understandably choose to focus on things like which seasons are the best, who the greatest players are and how to rank every winner.
However, it is pretty shocking that fans rarely think about how devastating it would be to be medically evacuated. With that in mind, it probably isn't too surprising that the Survivor Hall of Famer John Cochran once said that the show encourages dehumanizing people.

Alongside Kevin James, the cast of the 2011 comedy, Zookeeper, sees many high-profile celebrities help make it a memorable fantasy movie as they voice several of its anthropomorphic animals. James stars as the titular hero, who is considering a career switch as he feels thats the only way he can improve his chances at finding love. The news comes as a shock to his animal friends, and the zoo creatures try and set him up with someone else to convince him to stay. Zookeeper didnt fare well with most critics but is still worth a watch for family-friendly comedy fans.
What is worth noting about the Zookeeper cast is the stellar voice cast behind the animals and the actual animals themselves. The movie features some iconic animal performers, like Crystal the Monkey who provides the physical likeness for the tufted capuchin Donald, and the late Bart the Bear 2 who plays the grizzly bear Jerome.

Kevin Can F**k Himself, an AMC comedy with a 91% score on Rotten Tomatoes, has found new success on Netflix. Debuting in June 2021, from creator and executive producer Valerie Armstrong, Kevin Can F**k Himself is among the AMC shows that are now available on Netflix as part of a licensing deal between the two platforms. It stars the Emmy-winning Schitt's Creek star Annie Murphy, presenting itself as a dark comedy that aims at the trope of the underappreciated and neglected sitcom wife.
According to data provided by Reelgood, which tracks performance on streaming, Kevin Can F**k Himself came in fifth place in the overall Top 10 for the week of August 22 through August 28, across all platforms. When looking only at television shows, however, the Annie Murphy series ranks even better and comes in second place just behind Apple TV+'s Vince Vaughn crime comedy Bad Monkey.

"Kevin Can F**k Himself" is a dark comedy series with unique dual tones, blending sitcom and drama formats flawlessly. The show's concept was loosely inspired by the 2016 sitcom "Kevin Can Wait," exploring themes of gender norms and television. Despite strong reviews, the show ended after two seasons on AMC due to potential decline in viewership and mixed audience reactions.
Netflix recently added Kevin Can F**k himself to its platform, but it's still a shame that the show only got two seasons. Fans have rallied to help The Bold and the Beautiful alum Kristolyn Lloyd after she revealed she was facing eviction from her New York apartment. The actress, who played Dayzee Leigh on the hit daytime soap opera from 2010 to 2013, took to Instagram earlier this month, opening up about the dire situation. “I am posting this because, full transparency: Ya girl isn’t doing well,” she wrote before revealing she had “been served eviction papers” by her landlord. She continued, “I am battling my ego and shame right now asking for help but — with the support of my friends — I have been encouraged to reach out to my community. So, here it is: I need help.” Lloyd, who has also appeared in episodes of Madam Secretary, Kevin Can Wait, Elementary, and Chicago Med, said she owed her landlord back-pay from the pandemic and the two work stoppages last year due to the writers’ and actors’ strikes.

We all know that Adam Sandler likes working with people he knows. The movies he produces with his production company Happy Madison regularly feature Kevin Nealon, Rob Schneider, and other cast members from his Saturday Night Live days. Many of his movies also feature supporting turns from guys you only see in Happy Madison flicks, like Alan Covert and Peter Dante. And, of course, he loves to cast Jennifer Aniston and Drew Barrymore as his love interests.
So it’s no surprise that Sandler’s latest Netflix movie You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzah sees him once again paired with Idina Menzel, who played his wife in Uncut Gems. Some actors and comedians from the King of Queens cast are still huge stars to this day, while others have played notable supporting roles on other TV shows. Styled as a modern-day take on the classic Jackie Gleason sitcom The Honeymooners, The King of Queens told the story of a childfree middle-class couple living in New York. The story dates back to 2019, when Novak received an invitation to “Angelo’s Bachelor Party” that was intended for a different William Novak. But rather than informing the group that they had reached the wrong person, he instead let them know that he would be attending.
Novak quickly designed a GoFundMe page titled “Help Me Go to The Bachelor Party Of A Complete Stranger” which raised funds to cover the entire trip in two hours. And as the story got out onto social media, several corporate brands began to reach out,...

There are many lenses that you can look through to view your life. You might look at things as either half empty or half full. It's possible that you could only see things blissfully through rose-colored glasses. And in terms of television, you might look at your life as a multi-cam comedy with a laugh track or a serious single-camera drama. But for Allison McRoberts in AMC's acclaimed show "Kevin Can F*** Himself," she experiences her life both ways thanks to her unhappy marriage to an insensitive, unambitious man-child.
For two seasons, creator Valerie Armstrong and her team delivered a wildly unique and original story about a sitcom wife with real-world problems. On October 10, 2022, the series finale aired on AMC and the world (both ours and Allison's) finally got to see...

When it was announced last year that the series Kevin Can F**k Himself would be coming to an end after its upcoming second season, there was a general sense that was just about the right amount of time for it to close out the story. While Annie Murphy as Allison McRoberts, husband to the titular Kevin (Eric Petersen) of the title, could have remained as sharp as ever in the role to keep the show going for multiple more seasons, that would have started to feel like a narrative stretch. To have any more would start to wear the formal and thematic conceit a little thin as the sitcom it was most clearly tearing down, Kevin Can Wait, itself only ran for two seasons. While much of television seems to push its story to a breaking point, there is something to be appreciated in a shorter series that doesn’t...

How will Kevin Can F**k Himself end? The trailer for the second and final season of AMC’s black comedy hints at several potential outcomes.
Ahead of its Monday, Aug. 22 premiere, AMC has revealed the following first look, which picks up in the immediate aftermath of the Season 1 finale. As you’ll recall, Kevin’s best friend and neighbor Neil had learned of Allison and Patty’s murderous plan and vowed to blow their cover. Now in Season 2, “Allison and Patty scramble to deal with Neil, pushing Allison to find a better way out,” according to the official logline.

Erinn Hayes has entered the television multiverse. The Childrens Hospital actress has joined the cast of the second season of AMC's Kevin Can F**k Himself, the network confirms to E! News. On the surface, Hayes jumping onboard the Annie Murphy-starring comedy doesn't seem like that big of a deal. Oh, but this is no ordinary casting news! Kevin Can F**k Himself is largely speculated to have been inspired by the CBS comedy Kevin Can Wait, which starred Kevin James and ran for two seasons from 2016 to 2018. AMC and the show's producers have never explicitly connected the dots, but the writing is basically on the wall. Kevin Can Wait was a traditional sitcom...

This is a pretty meta casting — Kevin Can Wait alum Erinn Hayes is set to guest star on the upcoming second and final season of AMC’s Kevin Can F**k Himself. Hayes will appear in an as-yet undisclosed role alongside series stars Annie Murphy, Mary Hollis Inboden, Eric Petersen and Alex Bonifer.
Hayes played James’ wife Donna on the first season of Kevin James’ CBS comedy series Kevin Can Wait. She was let go at the end of the season and replaced by James’ former King of Queens co-star Leah Remini. Hayes’ exit was met with backlash by fans, there was a Season 2 ratings decline for Kevin Can Wait, which was eventually canceled.
There has been speculation that Kevin Can F**k Himself was actually a takeoff on James’ sitcom Kevin Can Wait (the male leads are both named Kevin), although neither AMC nor Kevin Can F**k Himself...

AMC announced that Erinn Hayes is set as a guest star for Season 2 of “Kevin Can F**k Himself.” Character details remain under wraps.
Hayes is best known for starring as Dr. Lola Spratt in “Chidrens Hospital,” the TheWB.com and later Adult Swim sitcom that parodies medical dramas such as “Grey’s Anatomy” and “General Hospital.” She also plays Lola in “Medical Police,” Netflix’s spinoff of the series.
But another of Hayes’ prominent roles was playing Donna Gable, Kevin Gable’s (Kevin James) wife in the CBS sitcom “Kevin Can Wait.” In 2017, Hayes’s character was killed off to make room for Leah Remini to become a series regular as Vanessa Cellucci.
“The character will have passed away and we will be moving forward in time catching up at a later date,” said CBS programming boss Thom Sherman at TCA press tour when explaining why Hayes had not been cast in Season 2 of “Kevin Can Wait.

Well, this sounds like perfect casting. Erinn Hayes, who played Kevin James’ wife, Donna, on the CBS comedy Kevin Can Wait, is set to guest star in Season 2 of the AMC series Kevin Can F**k Himself. Character details will be revealed at a later date, so we’ll have to wait to see what we find out before we see her onscreen. However, you can get a first look at her on set, in a bowling shirt, in the photos above and below. Robert Clark/Stalwart Productions/AMC Kevin Can F**k Himself follows Allison McRoberts (Annie Murphy), a prototypical sitcom wife who finally wakes up and revolts against her life. Hayes will be appearing alongside series stars Murphy, Mary Hollis Inboden, Eric Petersen, and Alex Bonifer in Season 2. When Kevin Can F**k Himself was first announced, it was impossible to not think about Kevin Can Wait, considering it had recently been canceled.

Exclusive: Leonard Earl Howze (The Upshaws), Isabel Gameros (Deranged Granny) and Mark Jeffrey Miller (Outsiders) have been tapped for recurring roles in Netflix’s Florida Man, its eight-episode series starring Edgar Ramírez, from veteran TV writer producer Donald Todd and Jason Bateman & Michael Costigan’s Aggregate Films.
In Florida Man, created by Todd, when a struggling ex-cop (Ramírez) is forced to return to his home state of Florida to find a Philly mobster’s runaway girlfriend, what should be a quick gig becomes a spiraling journey into buried family secrets and an increasingly futile attempt to do the right thing in a place where so much is wrong. The series is described as a wild odyssey into a sunny place for shady people in the spirit of Body Heat and Elmore Leonard’s Out of Sight.
Howze will play Ray-Ray, an ex-cop, Sonny Valentine’s longtime, loyal associate and the “muscle” for his illicit operations.

“Kevin Can F*** Himself,” which is concluding its first season on AMC this weekend and already streaming the finale on its streaming service, is a television show about television. As its title makes thuddingly clear, the series is intended to deconstruct a genre of sitcom that reached an apex with CBS’ “Kevin Can Wait,” on which lead Kevin James’ wife (played by Erinn Hayes) was so disposable as a comic element that the production literally disposed of her, killing her off between seasons.
Here, the beleaguered sitcom wife is the star: When this series’ Kevin (Eric Petersen) leaves the room, Allison (Annie Murphy) is able to see her situation clearly, with the laugh track and brilliant lighting that follows her goofus of a husband everywhere he goes absent.
As an idea, this has a great deal of inherent promise: The tools of genre, here, suggest a way to ask real questions about men,...

The title card for the new AMC series Kevin Can F**K Himself isn’t accompanied by a jaunty tune or a wild sound effect. When the title appears on the screen, it’s soundtracked by a smattering of aggressive laughter. Creeping up below the laughter is a distressing screeching noise, meant to indicate the rapidly fraying sanity of our heroine.
So it’s quite fitting that Kevin Can F**K Himself makes a compelling case for why laugh tracks (or canned laughter) need to die a quick death. The series centers on Allison McRoberts (Annie Murphy), a woman trapped in a marriage to the titular Kevin. Kevin is an infuriating man-child. He throws keg parties on his wedding anniversary, spends obscene amounts of money on sports memorabilia, and treats Allison like an accessory. He is emotionally abusive, often making Allison feel worthless by telling her things like she’s...

On Sunday, creator Valerie Armstrong was joined by Annie Murphy and Mary Hollis Inboden for a virtual Atx panel to talk about their new dark comedy series on AMC, Kevin Can F**k Himself.
For those wondering at home, Armstrong insisted you say the profanity to properly pronounce the show’s title.
“I just needed a title that made me laugh and Kevin Can F**k Himself always did,” Armstrong said.
Kevin Can F*** Himself probes the secret life of a type of woman we all grew up believing we knew: the sitcom wife (Annie Murphy). It looks to break television convention and ask what the world looks like through her eyes. Alternating between single-camera realism and multi-camera comedy, the formats will inform one another as we imagine what happens when the sitcom wife escapes her confines and takes the lead in her own life.

(Warning: This post contains spoilers for the first two episodes of AMC’s “Kevin Can F**k Himself.”)
The first two episodes of AMC’s genre-bending comedy “Kevin Can F**k Himself” premiered Sunday, dropping viewers into the world of Allison McRoberts (“Schitt’s Creek” alum Annie Murphy), a Massachusetts wife who spends half her life trapped in a sitcom world where her husband Kevin (Eric Petersen) is not just the king of queens, but everything, and the other half in a dingy, dark tale of despair and dreams gone by.
But while Allison slips back and forth between the two vastly different universes, Kevin is only ever seen in the multi-cam portion of the show. There is a very specific reason for this decision, which was made by “Kevin Can F**k Himself” creator Valerie Armstrong. And it’s not just about Allison and Kevin.

AMC’s Kevin Can F**k Himself deserves a round of applause just for its title — an obvious play on CBS’ Kevin Can Wait, a two-season comedy best remembered for just how sloppily it handled Erinn Hayes’ expulsion as Kevin James’ significantly better half. “Kevin Can F Himself” is a clear-cut, incontestable, black-comic evisceration of toxic sitcoms. That much is clear within the first hour, if not the first 10 minutes. But the new show from creator Valerie Armstrong might also be something more — something harder and gnarlier that hasn’t fully revealed itself, yet is creeping around the edges of the first four episodes, waiting to assume the spotlight.
Starring recent Emmy-winner Annie Murphy (“Schitt’s Creek”) as Allison McRoberts, a liquor store clerk stuck in a rough marriage that looks uglier every second, “Kevin Can F Himself” wastes no time justifying its title. Kevin (Eric Petersen) is introduced playing beer pong in the living room, red cups placed perilously above a soon-to-be-stained rug. His neighbor Neil (Alex Bonifer) is his doomed opponent, while Kevin’s father, Pete (Brian Howe), and Neil’s roommate and sister, Patty (Mary Hollis Inboden), serve as wisecracking spectators.
