NCIS Season 22, Episode 14, "Close to Home" is an episode that viewers will enjoy, but forget shortly after it's over. The CBS show serves up another light, easy to figure out mystery -- this time starring Jimmy Palmer. And like similar episodes in Season 22, the case of the week is more about the featured character's personal life than any sort of investigative drama.

"Close to Home" starts with Jimmy's 14-year-old daughter Victoria finding a duffel bag of cash and reporting it to Nick Torres. Relatively quickly, the team connects the money to an unsolved bank heist from 15 years prior. But the plot is secondary to Jimmy and Victoria's relationship, and NCIS reminding fans that Jimmy and Jessica Knight still have unfinished business.

NCIS has added an intriguing guest star for an upcoming episode.

The NCIS showrunner had teased that there would be obstacles to Dr. Jimmy Palmer and Agent Jessica Knight resuming a relationship.

Enter an obstacle in the form of actress Erinn Hayes.

Palmer and Knight were deeply involved until the NCIS Season 21 finale. That’s the episode where Knight received a job offer that would require her to move.

Palmer didn’t handle the situation well, and despite still having strong feelings for Knight, he put up a defensive wall to escape the relationship before getting hurt.

Knight did move to her new job, but she has since returned to the NCIS team, and it has been clear that she still has feelings for Palmer.

Actor-comedian Kevin James may be best known for his starring role in the classic CBS sitcomKing of Queens, which ran from 1998 to 2007, amassing over 200 episodes. The show was created by James, Rock Reuben, and Bruce Helford (The Conners), and directed by Andy Fickman. Kevin Can Wait stars James as a recently retired cop named Kevin Gable. In the first season, Erinn Hayes (A Christmas Story Christmas)co-stars with James as his wife, Donna Gable, but by the second season, Donna was killed off the show, leaving Kevin Gable to raise his three children alone.

The news comes as a shock to his animal friends, and the zoo creatures try and set him up with someone else to convince him to stay. Zookeeper didnt fare well with most critics but is still worth a watch for family-friendly comedy fans.

What is worth noting about the Zookeeper cast is the stellar voice cast behind the animals and the actual animals themselves. The movie features some iconic animal performers, like Crystal the Monkey who provides the physical likeness for the tufted capuchin Donald, and the late Bart the Bear 2 who plays the grizzly bear Jerome.

Jessica Kirson is teaming up with Hulu for her second stand-up special. She joins the streamer’s “Hularious” lineup, which officially bows in November and also includes comedians Bill Burr, Jim Gaffigan, Roy Wood Jr., Atsuko Okatsuka and Ilana Glazer.

The name and launch date of Kirson’s next special, which will premiere on Hulu domestically and Disney+ internationally, will be revealed at a later date.

Kevin Can F**k Himself, an AMC comedy with a 91% score on Rotten Tomatoes, has found new success on Netflix. Debuting in June 2021, from creator and executive producer Valerie Armstrong, Kevin Can F**k Himself is among the AMC shows that are now available on Netflix as part of a licensing deal between the two platforms. It stars the Emmy-winning Schitt's Creek star Annie Murphy, presenting itself as a dark comedy that aims at the trope of the underappreciated and neglected sitcom wife.

According to data provided by Reelgood, which tracks performance on streaming, Kevin Can F**k Himself came in fifth place in the overall Top 10 for the week of August 22 through August 28, across all platforms. When looking only at television shows, however, the Annie Murphy series ranks even better and comes in second place just behind Apple TV+'s Vince Vaughn crime comedy Bad Monkey.

To have any more would start to wear the formal and thematic conceit a little thin as the sitcom it was most clearly tearing down, Kevin Can Wait, itself only ran for two seasons. Exclusive: Andy Fickman (One True Loves) will direct the fish-out-of-water feature My Dad’s A Famous Movie Star for Brick Lane Pictures, Convoke Media, Film Roman and Kranzmedia—also producing through his Oops Doughnuts Productions banner.

Ahead of its Monday, Aug. 22 premiere, AMC has revealed the following first look, which picks up in the immediate aftermath of the Season 1 finale. As you’ll recall, Kevin’s best friend and neighbor Neil had learned of Allison and Patty’s murderous plan and vowed to blow their cover. Now in Season 2, “Allison and Patty scramble to deal with Neil, pushing Allison to find a better way out,” according to the official logline.

Fox has found its new So You Think You Can Dance judge.

Leah Remini will join the long-running competition show next week as Sytycd enters its live phase. She takes over for Matthew Morrison, who exited the show on May 27 after violating its competition production protocols, and joins fellow judges Stephen “Twitch” Boss and Jojo Siwa.

Remini will make her first appearance on the June 15 episode, which is also the long-running show’s 300th installment.

“I am thrilled to join So You Think You Can Dance on its milestone 300th episode,” said Remini in a statement. “I look forward to guiding these incredibly talented artists through this competition as a fan of the show and a great admirer of dancers. I can’t wait to see the artistry that the contestants bring to the stage.”

AMC announced that Erinn Hayes is set as a guest star for Season 2 of “Kevin Can F**k Himself.” Character details remain under wraps.

Hayes is best known for starring as Dr. Lola Spratt in “Chidrens Hospital,” the TheWB.com and later Adult Swim sitcom that parodies medical dramas such as “Grey’s Anatomy” and “General Hospital.” She also plays Lola in “Medical Police,” Netflix’s spinoff of the series.

But another of Hayes’ prominent roles was playing Donna Gable, Kevin Gable’s (Kevin James) wife in the CBS sitcom “Kevin Can Wait.” In 2017, Hayes’s character was killed off to make room for Leah Remini to become a series regular as Vanessa Cellucci.

“The character will have passed away and we will be moving forward in time catching up at a later date,” said CBS programming boss Thom Sherman at TCA press tour when explaining why Hayes had not been cast in Season 2 of “Kevin Can Wait.

Descending into the world of true-crime podcasts, Truth Be Told stars Octavia Spencer as podcaster Poppy Scoville, who risks everything—including her life—to pursue truth and justice. Tech-centric holding company Ballantyne Strong has launched Strong Studios to create content under the company’s Strong Entertainment division. David Ozer, formerly CEO of Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment’s Landmark Studio Group, will serve as president of the new studio.

Based in New York, Strong Studios will develop and produce original feature films and television series, as well as acquire third party rights to content for global multiplatform distribution.
