The translation of movie's name is "Eternity and a Day" not "Life and a Day". A Greek movie called the same - Eternity and a day (1998)- but the content is way different. Eternity and a day is actually a rule in Iran for unforgiven guilties. They have to stay in prison without any chance of forgiveness or any right to change the judge's verdict. They stay in prison until they die and also one more day, after they pass. That's why the movie called "Eternity and a Day".
