    Great movie

It feels amazing being a Dominican and finally seeing a movie that I can relate to in such a high extent, something I never knew I wanted so badly. this movie blew my mind and made my hairs stand, at how well the portrail of Dominican culture was set in place

    History & fantasy together!

Great movie, characters, music. If you know something about Jack Veneno your experience with this movie will be greater.

An amazing achievement for Dominican Cinema

Any Dominican kid born in the 70's or 80s knows of Jack Veneno.

The fact that this movie finally presents something of a back story but also presents the rise of Relampago Hernandez already makes it great. But the production value, the details regarding the political situation that took place in Dominican Republic during the 70s (student riots) and the striking resemblance of the main actors takes this movie above and beyond.

This movie is supposed to be the first of three. Here's hoping we get to see more of Jack Veneno.

A passport is shown on screen when Veneno returns to the Dominican Republic, but it is a modern passport with the numbers perforated through each page. This feature would not appear on passports until decades later.
    • Crazy credits
Before the opening credits, a scene from the TV wrestling show in the eighties is re-enacted to highlight the sponsors. During the end credits, the re-enactment is continued to announce the film sequel.
