Here Are All the Songs in the ‘Mean Girls’ Movie
The tracklist for the “Mean Girls” soundtrack is out, and it turns out some of the songs “can’t sit with” others that have made it into Tina Fey’s film adaptation of the Broadway musical, which comes out Jan. 15.

The fourth iteration of the high school dramedy — it’s adapted from the stage musical that was based on the 2004 original film which was adapted from the 2002 parenting book “Queen Bees and Wannabes” by Rosalind Weisman — stars Angourie Rice (“The Last Thing He Told Me”) as Cady Haron, Auli’i Cravalho as Janice and Jaquel Spivey (lead in “A Strange Loop” on Broadway) as Damien.

Renée Rapp, who played Regina George in the musical, will reprise her role in the film. Avantika (“Senior Year”) will play Karen and Bebe Wood will play Gretchen.

'Mean Girls' Movie Songs Revealed, 14 Tracks Cut from Broadway Musical Version
Image
The Mean Girls movie musical is just days away and the full tracklist has been revealed!

The new version of the iconic 2004 movie is an updated take on the story, blending the original movie with the Broadway musical that premiered in 2017, and puts a fresh, current with the times spin on it.

“The songs are sounding – It’s really a more kind of pop. And it’s a fascinating process, actually, because you kind of, in Broadway, everything has to play to the back of the house, and then movies, you can kind of come back in and things can play really intimately,” writer Tina Fey said on Late Night with Seth Meyers back in February 2023.

Keep reading to find out more…

There were originally 25 musical numbers in the Broadway musical,...

‘Meg 2: The Trench’ Summary & Ending, Explained: Will Jonas And Jiuming Face More Megs In The Future?
Image
Running out of human adversaries who can square off with him, action star Jason Statham has once again decided to punch gigantic prehistoric sharks as Meg 2: The Trench, the sequel to the 2018 monster action flick Meg, has been released in theaters worldwide. Like the first installment, the sequel is also an adaptation of Steve Alten’s Megalodon-based novels, in this context, “The Trench,” and does a decent job of staying true to the source material quite unexpectedly, given how the previous movie ended.

However, despite having the very basic responsibility of delivering a no-nonsense, run-of-the-mill summer spectacle, Meg 2 fumbles miserably as it falls victim to extremely clichéd characterization, dragged storytelling, and a horribly patchwork third act. Annoying kids constantly jeopardizing the lives of others, Poc scientists reduced to comic relief, any real sense of trepidation washed off with poorly CGI’d creatures, unnecessary and bland humor—every single...
