The idea of the Pooka is also integral to the Jimmy Stewart film Harvey. Stewart plays Elwood P. Dowd, a romantic idealist who is a bit of a tippler, and is very good friends with a giant invisible (To almost all but Elwood) talking rabbit named Harvey. In one scene Elwood explains that the rabbit is a mischievous spirit called a Pooka.
