Breaking ….Caught in the blast radius of multiple multi-million dollar lawsuits between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni over accusations of sexual harassment and an online smear campaign, Taylor Swift can now shake off that pesky subpoena.
In an unexpected move, the It Ends With Us star and director has withdrawn the paperwork seeking information from Swift about what she knew about what went down between her pal Lively and Wayfarer Studios co-founder Baldoni on the domestic violence themed film. Part of the reason the request was dropped was because details that the Bryan Freedman-represented Baldoni and crew sought were already provided, I hear.
Having said that, reps for Baldoni, his Wayfarer Studios, its execs and publicists did not respond Thursday to request for comment on the withdrawal of the high-profile subpoena against the “Fortnight” superstar and her lawyer J. Douglas Baldridge. Team Swift did respond, with a polite “no comment.

The It Ends With Us drama started with Justin Baldoni's $250 million complaint against The New York Times, filed the same day as Blake Lively's lawsuit against him. It was a response to the outlet's Dec. 21 feature covering Lively's Civil Rights Department Complaint in California, filed on Dec. 20, which gave her the right to sue.
Following Baldoni's First Amended Complaint, released on Jan. 31, the lawsuit against the outlet was combined in the same document as his $400 million lawsuit against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and her publicist Leslie Sloane. On Feb. 28, The New York Times filed a request to dismiss the lawsuit against them. Now, Baldoni's team has officially responded to the outlet's motion to dismiss, per Courtlistener.
The Times claimed that the Wayfarer Studios parties didn't present a "viable claim" against them for their reporting. Baldoni accused them of defamation, as the entire feature presents Lively's one-sided story...

Exclusive: Hours after Justin Baldoni filed a $400 million defamation and extortion lawsuit against Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, the It Ends With Us star and her legal team have clapped back — hard.
“This latest lawsuit from Justin Baldoni, Wayfarer Studios, and its associates is another chapter in the abuser playbook,” said Lively’s Manatt, Phelps & Phillips attorneys and Willkie Farr & Gallagher Llp on Thursday evening in a statement provided to Deadline.
“This is an age-old story: A woman speaks up with concrete evidence of sexual harassment and retaliation and the abuser attempts to turn the tables on the victim,” they said. “This is what experts call Darvo. Deny. Attack. Reverse Victim Offender.”
“Their response to sexual harassment allegations: she wanted it, it’s her fault,” the lawyers add of Baldoni and gang’s federal filing in New York this morning.
“Their justification for why this happened to her: look what she was wearing,...

The playful riffs in Crd swirl around a group of student writers and actors during the run-up to a prestigious contest. Not every strain of Kranti Kanadé’s eccentric symphony of a third feature will be comprehensible to Western audiences (the film recently opened stateside), but the overall effect is that of a talented filmmaker striking an impressive balance between intensity and lightness.
Kanadé, who handled the film’s production and costume design, is an assured visual stylist who finds a strong creative partner in cinematographer Daniel Katz. Together they devise a narrative mosaic built on dynamic shifts in perspective.
