Wallace Huo and Mi Yang in Ni shi ying jiu (2017)

Ni shi ying jiu

Film Review: Fatal Countdown: Reset (2017) Yoon Hong-seung
This movie is the new blockbuster science-fiction production coming from China, and of course, comes with an elevated budget and big special effects. It’s not very common in the Chinese production to use science fiction since they usually focus on action and fantasy, but this seriousness in tone proposal is worthy of vision and analysis.

Xia Tian (Mi Yang) is part of a research team who has come up with the discovery of the century: to travel in time. The research team consists mainly of Xian Tian and the director (Shih-chieh king), the scientist (Kim Hee-won) and Da Xiong. After several experiments, they have managed to travel back in time to 2 hours in the past (with some anomalies that must be resolved), which is a breakthrough not only for humanity but for the whole company. Everything changes when an individual, Cui Hu (Wallace Huo) kidnaps Doudou...

Arrow 8×06 Synopsis Reveals A Traitor Among Oliver’s Team
In the final season of Arrow, Oliver and the gang have been traveling between dimensions and going back and forth in time to prepare for the upcoming “Crisis on Infinite Earth,” The CW’s massive crossover event that’ll bring together every hero in the Arrowverse to fight off a menace that threatens existence.

The last run of the Green Arrow’s show has been nothing short of phenomenal this year, with each week’s episode exceeding the previous one in terms of scale and quality. This season isn’t only doing a pretty good job of setting up the crossover event though, but also paying homage to the series that essentially served as a launchpad for the Arrowverse.

One of the more interesting plot developments so far has been the revelation that Lyla Michaels is working with the Monitor, which will ultimately lead to her emergence as the Harbinger.

Paul Blackthorne Returning For Arrow Season 8
Even with Arrow‘s eighth and final season consisting of only ten episodes, it’s already proven to be a star-studded affair. So far, we’ve reacquainted ourselves with fan favorites such as Josh Segarra, Colin Donnell, Susanna Thompson, John Barrowman, Rila Fukushima and Willa Holland.

If you’ve been keeping up with recent news pertaining to the series, then there’s a very good chance you’ve heard about how Emily Bett Rickards will return as Felicity Smoak for the finale. Not long after that, consulting producer Marc Guggenheim teased more pals joining her for the sendoff, and we’ve actually already gotten one confirmation in that regard.

Those hoping for one last appearance to be made by Paul Blackthorne will get their wish, as he’ll be reprising the Quentin Lance role in a recurring capacity this season. Having endured a heroic death in the sixth season finale,...

Stephen Amell Says Arrow Episode 8×06 Is One Of The Best Ever
In just a matter of hours, we’ll all be able to sit down and enjoy the eighth season premiere of Arrow. And while my review for the kickoff episode has already been published and I had good things to say about it, it’ll be nice to have the weight lifted from my shoulders once I’m able to discuss several key plot points that are kept under embargo.

That said, we’re entirely free to talk about what lies further down the road, as Stephen Amell continues his role as Ambassador of the Arrowverse on social media by turning heads with one of his latest Tweets. This time, he has us all intrigued to learn what’ll go down in episode 8×06.

Here’s what the Emerald Archer himself had to say about said adventure, which just so happens to be directed by co-star David Ramsey:

“Episode 8.06 might be our best episode ever.

Arrow star David Ramsey opens up about his directorial debut and why he’s doing it again on Arrow season 8, the show’s final season.

David Ramsey’s directorial debut was Arrow’s season 7 episode 11, “Past Sins,” one of the better episodes of last season. Lucky for us, he’s back in the director’s chair again for Arrow season 8, the final season, this time with episode six, "Reset."

Shonda Rhimes Developing ‘Reset,’ ‘The Warmth of Other Suns,’ and Six Other Series for Netflix
Shonda Rhimes
Shonda Rhimes has unveiled her first development slate since her Shondaland banner relocated last year to Netflix under a nine-figure production pact.

The projects include adaptations of books “The Warmth of Other Suns,” about the migration of African-Americans from the South to the Northeast in the 20th century, and “Reset,” Ellen Pao’s memoir of her legal battle against sexual harassment in Silicon Valley.

“I wanted the new Shondaland to be a place where we expand the types of stories we tell, where my fellow talented creatives could thrive and make their best work and where we as a team come to the office each day filled with excitement,” said Rhimes.

Details of Shondaland’s full slate was first reported by the New York Times.

Here’s a full list of projects:

Official Us Trailer for Weird Chinese Time-Travel Thriller Film 'Reset'
"You are not necessary for this experiment." Well Go USA has debuted an official Us trailer for a Chinese action-sci-fi-thriller titled Reset, also going by the name Fatal Countdown: Reset. Executive produced by Jackie Chan, and directed by a filmmaker called "Chang", Reset is about a desperate scientist mother who finishes her experimental time travel machine in order to go back in time and save her son. Starring Yang Mi, Wallace Huo, and King Shih-Chieh. While this doesn't seem like the most inspired time travel plot, I am curious about the cultural differences and unique twists in this film. I'm interested to see what happens once she goes back in time, and what exactly she does to save her son and get rid of the criminals. Have fun. Here's the official Us trailer (+ international poster) for Chang's Reset, direct from YouTube: In the near future, scientist Xia Tian (Yang Mi...
