An absolutely beautiful well-made and enjoyable Turkish drama

I have never expected that this drama would be this good. From every aspect of a story, it has everything we need to appreciate. We all know that most Turkish dramas have a lot of episodes. But, this one is an exception. Though, it has very long episodes, I must say that I don't feel sorry watching all of them. It's really enjoyable, fun, and interesting drama. I love every character in it. Even some characters have their own story, it's still nice to follow it. The chemistry of the two leads (Hulya and Kerim) is absolutely beautiful. They both portrayed their character wonderfully. Superb!! Gorgeous!! Wild!! 👍👍👍👍👍

Good intro to modern Turkish tv show

I watched the show online, much after it was aired in Turkey.

I loved the plot, the actors are great, it's a good family drama but lots if comedic moments.

The main romantic relationship is fully convincing and you root for them, even though it started as a forced marriage. There is major chemistry going on!

I also like the fact that the show is a female-first show, events are explained through a woman's point of view.

While the setting shows a very rich family, side characters are coming from different backgrounds. The show would provide a good glimpse to the Turkish urban (mostly) life style.

Best Turkish Romantic Drama I have ever watched

Hayat Sarkisi or the song of life is a beautiful story of a girl who undertakes unconventional strategies to gain the love of her childhood love, who is a free spirit. You will laugh, cry, feel sad, get confused with Hayat Sarkisi. Not only for the protagonists but also for the supporting characters will also overwhelm you & take you through the ups & downs of life. Hulya, played by Burcu Biricik, is adorable in her role & unlike other damsel in distress female protagonists of general romantic drama she can take care of herself & save the day without the help of the hero. Yes she has a wonderful support system to drag her out of danger but you will find, she is home & adventure all at once. Real showstopper is the young Hulya, who cames back in flasbacks as a reminder of her long love for Kerem. Birkan Sokollu is handsome a ever & fits the bill of a free spirited environmentalist who is unable to handle his wife's adventures & affinity for danger, but eventually will fall in love with her in due course of time. Last but not the least is Olgun Toker as Mahir Duru, Hulya's mafia teammate, will keep you on you toe with grey cell stimulating comic relief, bringing a refreshing perspective to the romantic drama. Though certain characters are overtly dramatic but you will love them all. Hayat Sarkisi has nothing to dislike. It's one of the most feminist drama I have ever watched where istead pulling someone down, people are uplifting others. Highly recommended.

Not for the faint of heart

Hayat Sarkisi will make you laugh, it will make you cry, it will make you swoon over the amazing romance, it will confuse you, it will make you love & hate the characters, it will make you question things, it will wound you and it will heal you. This was a journey I did not expect. Each character became real... and like real life, there is the good, the bad and the ugly. I highly recommend experiencing the lives of the Cevher family.

The BEST Turkish Drama!

This is quite possibly one of the best Turkish dramas I have ever watched. The actress who plays Hulya does an amazing job plus she is drop-dead gorgeous! She goes after what she wants and she usually gets it. Sometimes she is a little mischievous in how she gets things done with her best friend Mahir, but it's fun to watch. You have to admit that there is a Hulya in all of us. From the start of the show, we see that Hulya has had a crush on Kerim from a very young age, vowing to marry him. Hulya gets what she wants; so yes, she does marry him. It starts out a little rocky because it is an arranged marriage but once Kerim sees how strong-willed, compassionate, fun-loving and family- oriented she is, he can't help but fall in love with her.

This is a story about a flourishing love and a family who sticks by each other through thick and thin. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll be sad, mad and happy in almost every episode. It's a roller-coaster of emotions with amazing scenes that have you cheering for us protagonist, saying "You go girl!"

Thank you to the actors, actresses, directors and all of the crew for this beautiful show that we look forward to every Tuesday!

Best drama ever

I am a big fan of Korean and Turkish dramas, I have watched all of their considered hits dramas and many others .. I would say with confidence this drama is the best ever I have watched ... I have loved everything about this drama , the family relationship, the marriage life, friendship, childhood dreams... this drama has been realistic and discussed many social issues, specially from the female perspective, and has shown a very strong female lead character ... I love this drama so much, love the story-line, the acting, actors, direction, cinematography, soundtracks, songs, literally everything ! I do strongly recommend it to be watched and definitely would be on top of your list of the most beloved dramas ...

Watched it in 6 days

First of all my impression is that it very real. Everything that happens isn't overdone or absurd. The comedy part was really funny. I love Mahir and their relationship. To me the best massage this series gives is that not everyone is perfect and we make mistakes but we can change for the better. You should love a person the way he or she is because in the end u understand that thats the version u loved.

Best ever comedy/drama with fantastic actors

If you want to cry, laugh, dream, fall in love with the characters then watch this. All the actors are amazing and the script never gets boring even after the 50+ episodes. Not like other conventional dizis where the main actor falls in love with a perfect woman with no faults apart from being too good. Hulia in fact is mischevious, fun loving and admits her faults. She makes everyone go crazy but everyone loves her. The characters are not white or black but all have their faults. Sometimes you hate them, other times you love them. The chemistry between Hulia and Kerem is incredible, with no boring romance but funny scenes, arguments, fights and anything you can imagine.

Wow. Just wow!

No words can describe how amazing and smart this show is. From acting, to music, to plot twists, to funny heartwarming moments, to deep emotions. The character development in this show is incredible - it takes you on an incredible journey with the characters. Not a single dull moment. If you haven't watched it yet, what are you waiting for?

Loved it so much

Hayat Sarkisi was absolutely beautiful . The story is different and the acting of most of the characters was great. You will watch everything in this series, happy - sad moments, funny moments and touching moments as well. Maybe they should have gotten rid of some extra unnecessary scenes and made the last four episodes into two, but it is still one of my favorite shows and it is a must watch!
