Billionaire Boy

It's hard to find something the whole family can watch and enjoy together these days, but Billionaire Boy has proved a hit. Okay the acting could be better in places but overall it offers a good message and has the right amount of humour along the way.

I have no illusions about people or society, we are just monkeys when all is said and done but even I know that human beings are a lot better than this.

David Walliams doesn't like people. That much is clear in all of his work but this one really shines in terms of it's bleak dystopian view of life. It's like a nightmare version of a Ken Loach movie with nothing to be hopeful for.

A good short watch teaching you morals worth a watch :)

Better that predicted.

'Billionaire Boy' is a relatively short film at 60mins, which works in its favour. The premise isn't anything revolutionary, nor is the acting. However, it actually has some heart to it which you can't help but admire.

Elliot Sprakes is fine in the lead role of Joe, the casting probably could've been greater though I have no complaints with the kid; I do like the friendship between Joe and Bob (Nathan Waight). The most enjoyable dynamic is between Catherine Tate (Sapphire) and Warwick Davis (as himself).

As I've already alluded to, this is nothing extraordinary in any way but does leave with a good message.

It seems zero effort was put into this EVERYTHING is predictable here, you can predict exactly what's going to be said and what's going to happen

You get all the predictable and pointless "new kid at school bullying scenes"

The main characters are rubbish actors especially Elliot sprakes, John Thomson also has no acting ability and the character played by Catherine tate was Very annoying and over the top

People keep saying " walliams is a genuis" i disagree, there was nothing remotely original or interesting about this

This would have been a lot better if Thomson and sprakes were replaced with competent actors

sprakes kept gurning throughout the movie and was way too unlikeable

I really don't understand why directors cast these rubbish actors/ actresses, and it has nothing to do with money

There are tons of excellent actors like Steve John shepherd who struggle to get work, meanwhile gormless people like Thomson and Jason Statham continue working non stop.
