He's growing up! The Vine app may have shut down but that doesn't mean our love for its best stars turned off. Kate Thomas, the mom of one-time Vine star Gavin, an adorable tyke who gained notoriety a few years ago as the nephew of former Vine star Nick Mastodon, tweeted her Internet famous son's first grade photo—and we can't believe how big he's gotten! The proud mom shared the cute photo with her 95.7K Twitter followers. Along with the sweet and smiling photo, she wrote, "Gavin's first grade photo!" Along with wearing a big smile, the first grader was dressed in a button-down shirt. Gavin shot to Vine fame in 2014 when his uncle put a...

The 2017 NFL draft is about to kick off and dozens of hopefuls are vying for a spot on one of the league’s 32 teams. Among the most recognizable prospects are potential No. 1 overall pick Myles Garrett, known for his affinity for poetry and dinosaurs, and Beyoncé-obsessed Solomon Thomas.

‘Drib’ Review: Brett Gelman Stars In a Bitter and Bizarre Mockumentary Satire of Branding Gone Wrong
Okay, so let’s establish the facts about “Drib,” an unclassifiable meta-documentary satire that burns down the marketing industry and everyone in it: In 2014, a Los Angeles advertising company flew over a stunt comic/performance artist named Amir Asgharnejad (born in Iran, raised in Norway) in the hopes that he might anchor a high-concept advertisement for an unnamed energy drink company. Internet famous at the time thanks to a series of viral videos in which he gets the shit kicked out of him by strangers he antagonized on the street, Amir was hired to replicate his beatdowns as part of a broader content initiative of some kind. The plan hadn’t been fully approved, and the agency didn’t know that all of the assailants in Amir’s videos were paid accomplices, but the idea was to shoot the risqué footage, “leak” the faux-vérité spots to the media as part of a “cancelled” campaign,...

Vine phenom Amanda Cerny has inked a deal with live music platform LiveXLive to become its first contributing social editor. In this role, Cerny -- who counts over 17 million collective followers across her social platforms, and who appeared in Fullscreen’s The Deleted and the Maker Studios mockumentary Internet Famous -- will create original content for the platform targeting millennial viewers, as well as fellow influencers.
LiveXLive delivers live music performance videos as well as festival and concert coverage on its own website, and the network's YouTube and Facebook channels clocked over 100 million views in 2016. The company also operates a Lxl Studios division dedicated to helming original content -- which is where Cerny’s work will appear.

Earlier in 2016, Matt Clarke and David Milchard -- the creators and stars of Convos With My 2 Year Old -- announced their plan to venture beyond the web series that made them Internet famous by releasing additional shows on a new channel, CocoMilkTV.
Now, Clarke and Milchard have shared two new shows, and other of them comes with plenty of holiday spirit. It’s called Santa & Jesus Roommates, and as its title implies, it imagines what would happen if two of Christianity’s most important figures co-habitated with one another.
In the first episode of Santa & Jesus, Santa (Michael P. Northey) gets grossed after Jesus (Clarke) brings home a leper and treats him on the couch. Jesus uses that criticism as an opportunity to reprimand his roommate regarding his personal cleanliness (or lack thereof).

The latest movie within the so-called “influencer film” genre has arrived. Fml, a road trip comedy that stars Viners Jason Nash and Brandon Calvillo as fictionalized versions of their social media personae, is now available for digital download from iTunes, Google Play, and Amazon.
In Fml, Nash and Calvillo come together to travel across the country. Their goal is simple: Create collaborative videos with all of the creators they meet during their journey, while simultaneously ironing out the issues in their personal and professional lives.
Fml contains several of the qualities that have become commonplace within the world of influencer films. For one, its stars are engaging in a form of self-parody that will seem familiar to anyone who checked out Internet Famous. In addition, there will be plenty of cameos from Nash and Calvillo’s colleagues in the online video world, with YouTube star Bart Baker’s turn as...

Ken Bone, who captured the hearts and minds of America during Sunday’s second Presidential debate, is set to appear on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” tonight via satellite. Bone, who is a 34-year-old coal-plant operator from Illinois, according to the New York Times, became Internet famous after he asked the candidates a question about energy policy at the town hall debate. While he asked a reasonable question about retaining energy jobs in the U.S. while upholding environmental standards, viewers online immediately seized on Bone’s appearance — which included a very, very red sweater — and pun-worthy name, with memes popping up almost immediately.

At its inaugural Television Critics Association (TCA) appearance today, YouTube announced that it has picked up rights to The Thinning -- a dystopian feature film from Legendary Digital Studios that's set to premiere on premium subscription platform YouTube Red later this year.
Starring Viner Logan Paul -- who is also featured in another YouTube Red hit, Foursome -- The Thinning will tell the story of two students in a world where population is controlled via a high school aptitude test. Paul and co-star Peyton List (of Disney Channel fame) play two students who discover a conspiracy behind the test and set off on a journey to smash the system, the Hollywood Reporter reports. Rounding out the cast in the influencer realm is Lia Marie Johnson. The Thinning was directed by Michael Gallagher, who also helmed the Shane Dawson-starring Internet Famous mockumentary, which recently debuted on Netflix.
