Katsuhira Agata lost his sense of physical pain years ago and has lived a quiet and secluded life ever since. His passive nature makes it difficult for him to establish contact with him and his lack of will to defend himself makes him the target of his classmates' attacks. Katsuhira and six other young people are selected as participants in the Kizuna project, in which several people are linked and the pain felt by one of them is felt by all. The Kizuna project aims to lay a foundation for world peace. But first, Katsuhira and the others must prove their effectiveness by opening up to the rest of the group and further developing their own compassion.
"Kiznaiver" is definitely not a masterpiece.
The thing that stuck in my mind the most from the anime was the character design, which I think is very well done.
Each character has a different look.
The basic idea is really interesting, but unfortunately implemented only vaguely.
Nevertheless, the anime was very entertaining.
You can look at it, but you can also let it be.

Before the end of the first episode the beauty of the animation, eclectic characters and unusual storytelling had sunk hooks in and wouldn't let go.
It's an interesting anime that proves tropes exist for a reason, beauty can exist within horror and pain... Even the insanity of the first few episodes served a purpose, and had mad science I can realistically see happening.
For all the things to got "right" it's still imperfect and at times very cliched (they are there for a reason), but it was satisfying to see another example of great anime.
Note: Those who don't enjoy story driven, character growth based stories will likely hate this.

Pro's:
- Great intro and soundtrack.
- Character Archetypes fit in the narrative.
- Quality storytelling.
- No filler episodes.
- Predictability that serves a purpose.
- Full story arc.
Con's:
- First few episodes have an almost distracting amount of chaos in them, and can turn people off.
- Predictable, it's important for the story but would loved a surprise or two.

.....to become something beyond my expectations!!!!!
At first, it seemed extremely eccentric in it's core idea storyline. However, as the story progresses, not only does it make more sense to me, but it also transforms into something more than the usual fan-service, moe characters, & cliche morals.
Now, for those who want anime that transcends outside their box of expectations, don't be afraid to give this a watch!
From the trippy intro cutscene (with equally mesmerizing music to back that up) to the deeper meanings of human connection, a variety of a cast, fresh [&] vibrant animation, and the little things that wrap all of this together into KIZNAIVER; you've got yourself a must-watch for your list!!!
However, I did say that this story "made more sense to ME"; Meaning that I understand that KIZNAIVER May not apply to everyone. So, if you want to stick to those show with cliche storylines, moe characters, and annoying fan-service, you can stay in your box for all I care; Besides, I'm just speaking my mind here.
But, let's not forget the idea that regardless of the difference of our tastes, our backgrounds, our minds, and our hearts: "We are ALL connected through OUR wounds" -kizNAiver.

This is a series with fantastic animation, pretty visual design, and extremely well written characters. Its funny for the most part, but when it needs to be serious, I believe that it was very impactful. While some of the things concerning the experiment weren't really explained, I don't care because the series is much more focused on character relationships and it does that very well all the way to the end.
I would highly recommend watching this.

A decent 12-episode anime, albeit with no sequel potential, which is a shame. The plot is straightforward and easy to grasp, avoiding unnecessary complexity. The characters are memorable, each with their own distinct personality, and feel genuinely alive, making them relatable. The ending was a definite highlight, providing a perfectly satisfying and conclusive resolution to the storyline, tying up loose ends nicely. On the negative side, the plot can sometimes be slow and uneventful, occasionally stalling and dragging in certain episodes. However, the compelling interactions between the main characters remain engaging and consistently entertaining, making it a worthwhile watch despite the occasional pacing issues. Overall, a solid and enjoyable anime, even with its minor flaws.

I loved it. This anime has a different type of vibe to it. The opening song is so nostalgic.

This anime is well-done, with a compelling story. A high school boy and several of his classmates join a secret group of people, the Kiznaivers, who wouldn't normally associate with each other. This features two LGBTQ characters, Ruru and Honoka Maki, with Ruru dying while finishing their manga, leading Honoka to have feelings of doom for years to come. I remember this show fondly, although I can't recall as much about it as I can for other shows, so I'd put this at its current rating

Kiznaiver is an emotional whirlwind that will leave you breathless. I'm talking tears, laughter, and existential crises - the whole enchilada. This anime is a thought-provoking, masterfully crafted experience that will stay with you long after the credits roll. With its vibrant animation, complex characters, and poignant storytelling, Kiznaiver is a must-watch. The characters' struggles and relationships are deeply relatable, making it easy to become invested in their journeys. Don't miss out on this hidden gem! It's a wild ride that will challenge your perspectives and leave you feeling hopeful.
Kiznaiver is about love, friendship and loss, based on an experiment of connection to "generate peace" but more so to have a better understanding of their own feelings and others around them, however, this "Kiznaiver" experiment isn't all as good as it seems.
The shows concept is unique, characters are likeable but outside of character interactions they is nothing else noteworthy, they is some "challenges" but they are laughably straightforward and uneventful, the main challenge being solving each others inner struggles.
Despite being character driven, character interactions are also pretty straightforward with it's only saving grace being it's unique concept. Overall I think it's worth watching if you like emotionally driven teen drama with a twist.
