Shaun-the-sheep connives to bring three incorrigible llamas to the farm, to his (and everyone else's) regret. The semi-voiceless film seems to be just an extended episode of the titular ovine's TV show with a rudimentary plot and a lot of sight gags. While fun and well made, the cleverness of Aardman Animations' 'Wallace and Gromit' series (or even the first 'Shaun the Sheep' movie (2015)), is missing.
This is what happens when you associate yourself with bad company.
The episode was fun & enjoyable.
Great for both kids & adults.
Oh those naughty llamas! My baby loves this and seems to be hypnotised like the llamas!
It is another brilliant Shaun the Sheep short, which is yet again funny and enjoyable for all the family. The short has many Easter egg clips, from other Aardman shorts, and other props from different Shaun the Sheep episodes. Plus this short is one funny one, but with a nice message hidden within, it may seem like a good idea at the beginning but it may not have been a good idea later on.
Although it has taken me ages to watch it, this Shaun the Sheep special was one of the pieces of event television from Christmas 2015. This is not new territory for Aardman, since for many years Wallace & Gromit were the highlight of the Christmas scheduling. Shaun's outing is not to that level, although it is still fun. The film is aimed very much at younger audiences, and those seeking silly fun. As such there is not a lot of refinement to the plot or events; the farmer gets some llamas, they cause chaos, Shaun and the others sort it out. The end.
In doing this there are not really any big clever set-pieces but generally there is a fun sense of action and physical comedy. For sure it is not The Wrong Trousers or anywhere near it, and it does not in any way have the intelligence and wit of the Shaun the Sheep movie, but it works well for what it is. Solid and honest fun which is very well made (the animation is always a wonder) and delivers fairly clearly on what it wants to do.

- TriviaWas originally slated to have 4 starring llamas, but Equity rules prevent voice over artists from being used on more than three of the same animal so as to keep animals in acting roles.
