Earlier this month, the Teen Mom alum was granted a two-year extension for a protection order against David Eason. As you probably know, they are separated pending a divorce. Previously, there was an order for Jace. The new order wasn’t extended to Ensley as that’s a separate custody case. But Jenelle seemed happy.

David Eason hasn’t been attending court much, and mostly, it seems that the two Teen Mom alums manage to avoid each other. However, in a recent social media post, Jenelle Evans said that she saw him, and he wasn’t a happy chap after the court appearance.

The reality star, who is preparing for her return to Teen Mom: The Next Chapter, has been battling back and forth with Eason. At the time, he was arrested and charged with two misdemeanors. One of which was violating the protective order that Evans had against him.

The Criterion Channel has unveiled its streaming lineup for August 2024, which features an eclectic mix of independent films showcasing the work of auteurs from around the world.

The boutique service will become the exclusive streaming home of Paul Thomas Anderson’s 2021 comedy “Licorice Pizza,” and will celebrate the occasion by adding four more of his films to the channel: “The Master,” “There Will Be Blood,” “Punch-Drunk Love,” and “Magnolia.” Anderson’s frequent collaborator Philip Seymour Hoffman will additionally be celebrated on the streaming service as part of a larger retrospective. Man on Fire is being remade as a series for Netflix, with Yahya Abdul-Mateen II taking the lead role as John Creasy. The series will consist of eight episodes and is based on A.J. Quinnell's books Man on Fire and The Perfect Kill. Steven Caple Jr. will direct the first two episodes of the series, with Kyle Killen serving as showrunner.

Man on Fire, the beloved action thriller starring Oscar winner Denzel Washington, is set to be remade as a series by Netflix. According to Deadline, Emmy Award winner and Aquaman star Yahya Abdul-Mateen ll will take over from Washington as John Creasy, a former CIA operative haunted by his violent past who is hired as the bodyguard of a little girl, Lupita, played in the movie by Dakota Fanning.

The Man on Fire series was reportedly ordered by the streaming giant back in March and will consist of eight episodes.

The eight-episode drama series is an adaptation based on A.J. Quinnell’s Man on Fire and The Perfect Kill, the first two books in Quinnell’s five-book series previously adapted to film in 2004 starring Denzel Washington and in 1987 in an Italian film of the same name. Director Steven Caple Jr. will direct episodes 1 and 2 of the latest incarnation and also serve as executive producer.

In the new series, Abdul-Mateen II will lead as John Creasy, a once high-functioning and skilled Special Forces mercenary known for surviving even the most desolate of situations. Creasy is now plagued with intense Ptsd. Determined to overcome his personal demons, he sets out on a path to redemption.

Netflix has unveiled its list of the most-watched titles in the second half of 2023, and leading the pack is none other than the first season of One Piece live-action series, which garnered 71.6 million views in four months.

The 20th edition of the Glasgow Film Festival reveals an exciting programme featuring premieres, special events and screenings of some classics.

Running from February 28th to March 10th the UK premiere of Rose Glass’ Love Lies Bleeding opens the festival. Closing gala is Janey – a touching documentary on Scottish Comedian, Janey Godley, about her life, career and terminal cancer diagnosis.

Erykah Badu re-wrote and re-recorded her hit song “Tyrone” for Netflix’s new movie “They Cloned Tyrone,” per a request from the film’s director Juel Taylor.

“Everybody I’ve ever talked to, as soon as I told them the [movie’s] title, they were like, ‘So Erykah Badu doing the song?’ and I’m like, ‘Trust me, I’m trying.’” Taylor said, describing the early stages of developing “They Cloned Tyrone,” which is his feature film directorial debut and stars Teyonah Parris, John Boyega and Jamie Foxx. At the time, he hoped he would be able to include a reimagined version of the Grammy-winner’s song.

“You don’t really think it’s going to happen,” Taylor said. “Serendipitously enough, I was able to pitch it to her, and she responded immediately. Thank God for Erykah Badu.”

Exploding onto the big screen, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts picks up after 2018's Bumblebee. Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is going boldly where no Transformers film has gone before. The follow-up to the hit franchise reboot film Bumblebee, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts brings beloved characters from the mid-90’s animated series Beast Wars into live-action for the first time, adding the Maximals faction into the already volatile mix of humans, Autobots, and Terrorcons. The film stars Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback, both fresh faces in the Transformers franchise.

To create a score as wide-ranging and exciting as the film itself, director Steven Caple Jr. turned to composer Jongnic Bontemps. Bontemps and Caple Jr. have collaborated on multiple projects in the past, including the hit film Creed II. Jordan has led the story as Adonis "Donnie" Creed, the tough but lovable underdog who aspires to uphold the legacy of his father, Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers), and made his own name. Steven Caple Jr. is known for grounded, character-focused stories about the sort of people you might run into every day, without a giant robot fight in sight. Films like The Land and A Different Tree. Even his most recent film, Creed II, only features fights on a decidedly human scale. But Paramount believed this made him the perfect name to take over the core Transformers franchise after Michael Bay’s departure.

“They wanted me to bring that grit and character from my dramas to make people feel for these robots but keep the action and adrenaline high,” Caple recalls.

More Than Meets the Eye

Caple was already a lifelong fan of the franchise, but unlike many fans, his love of Transformers began not with the toys but the animated 1986 movie.

“That was my first introduction to it.

A year and a half after Michael K. Williams’ death, the man who sold The Wire star the drugs that killed him has pleaded guilty.

“Irvin Cartagena sold fentanyl-laced heroin in broad daylight in New York City, feeding addiction and causing tragedy,” U.S. Attorney Damian Williams of the Southern District of New York said Wednesday, regarding the the September 5, 2021 transaction in Brooklyn’s South Williamsburg neighborhood. “In doing so, he dealt the fatal dose that killed Michael K. Williams.”

In front U.S. District Judge Ronnie Abrams earlier in the day, Cartagena pleaded guilty to “one count of conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute fentanyl analogue, fentanyl, and heroin.” That plea specifically cited the death of Williams as a consequence of Cartagena’s drug slinging. Set to be sentenced later this year, Cartagena, aka “Green Eyes,” faces a mandatory minimum of five years and up to 40 years on the charges.
