"Eine unerhörte Frau" is based on a real story but more than that, it reflects the key points of every such story: What happens if someone dear to you gets sick and it's hard to find the cause? Will you be able to help them? How will the medical community treat you?

I lived through a similar story together with my family. "Eine unerhörte Frau" reflects me and my family's experiences so well that I can guarantee it will give viewers a real sense of such an experience. The acting is acceptable and sometimes very good coming from the lead. I cried through a few scenes, not because the movie is extremely dramatic, but because I lived through those same scenes in my life and that was compelling, and that the lead's acting was spot on...There's also a parallel story involving the main character which is well handled and interesting. Overall, the movie is recommended!

No cause is greater than the well being of our beloved ones ... like our offspring! And a mother and her connection to her kids is even greater ... so no pun intended as always. Now I did not live through something like this - but I can feel the tragedy, I can feel the pain, I can feel the despair our main character has ... and her child of course.

Even harder to have that fight, is when people do not take things seriously ... this is spot on in so many regards. A great movie with amazing performances! A movie that is quite important - because it speaks from the heart and knows how to reach people! It may be predictable and it may have some cliches ... but the talent at work here (in front and behind the camera), make you forget any of that ... and you are with the main characters ... you might even be on the edge of your seat ... good job, thank you for this! One of the best German movies of that year for sure ... shame I had not watched it until now ...
