Mumbai, April 21 (Ians) Vaani Kapoor, who is known for her roles in ‘Befikre’, ‘War’, and ‘Bell Bottom’, shared sun-kissed photos of herself in a stunning orange ensemble.

The 35-year-old actress, who was last seen in the 2022 period drama ‘Shamshera’ alongside Ranbir Kapoor, posted two selfies from inside a car.

Exclusive: Indian mega-star Ranveer Singh has signed for representation with WME in all areas globally.

Singh was launched onto the Indian cinema scene in 2010 by Yash Raj Film in the romantic comedy Band Baaja Baaraat, co-starring opposite Anushka Sharma in a breakthrough role.

He has since racked up 20 feature credits with highlights including a trio of hit films directed by iconic Indian director Sanjay Leela: the tragic romance Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, costume drama Bajirao Mastani, and the historical romance Padmaavat.

The versatile actor has also appeared in the Paris-set romance Befikre, corrupt cop comedy Simmba and street rapper, coming-of-age tale Gully Boy, in which he rapped his own music, including chart-topping “Apna Time Aayega.”

The latter film was chosen as India’s entry in the Academy Awards’ international feature film category in 2020 and won 13 Awards at India’s Filmfare Awards, breaking the record for most wins by a film in the same year.

Bollywood actress Vaani Kapoor, says she wants to do more films that celebrate women, their lives and decisions.

"As a woman, I want to do more films that celebrate women, their lives and decisions. I have been fortunate that in my short career span, I have got films like Shudh Desi Romance, Befikre and War that have highlighted some brilliant aspects of being a woman. They showed how women are free-spirited, ambitious, resilient and strong," Vaani said.

The Varun Dhawan-Anushka Sharma starrer Sui Dhaaga released two years ago on this day. Director Sharat Katariya, opening up on his creative process, says the characters in his films come from his personal experiences.

The 2018 release "Sui Dhaaga" was Katariya's third directorial after "10ml Love" (2010) and "Dum Laga Ke Haisha" (2015). He also contributed as a writer in films like "Bheja Fry" (2007) and "Titli" (2015).

Katariya, who also penned dialogues in "Fan" (2016) and "Befikre" (2016), has carved his niche for crafting critically acclaimed commercial entertainers that celebrate realism, as a writer and filmmaker.

"I was born in Delhi. The characters normally come from personal experiences of growing up. All these characters whether its Prem and Sandhya (Dum Laga Ke Haisha) or Mauji and Mamta (Sui Dhaaga) or other characters, like their parents, their family, their neighbours, whatsoever you write or you are influenced from, are people who you come across," Katariya said.

In some big Bollywood news, we can reveal that Vaani Kapoor has been set as the female lead opposite Ayushmann Khurrana in the new film from director Abhishek Kapoor.

Plot details are being kept under wraps on the movie but Ayushmann is set to play an athlete and will undergo a significant “physical transformation” for the role. Currently untitled, the romance herald’s from Abhishek Kapoor’s Guy In The Sky Pictures and is due to shoot this October in India. A producer will be attached soon.

Vaani Kapoor said in a statement sent to us: “It’s a lovely, heartrending film. I have always wanted to work with Abhishek Kapoor, being so inspired by his films. This feels like an amazing opportunity to be part of his vision. HBO Max is continuing to pull from Warner Bros.’ incredible back catalogue of movies, with August bringing a huge number of new titles to the streaming service. With over 130 new pieces of content, the list of upcoming arrivals encompasses classic films of all kinds, from Oscar winners to comedies, horrors to family pics and, of course, tons of blockbusters.

A highlight for many users will probably be the glut of Batman films coming to HBO Max at the start of the month. Every cinematic outing for the Caped Crusader from 1989’s Batman starring Michael Keaton to 2008’s The Dark Knight with Christian Bale (which just celebrated its 12th anniversary this weekend) are going up on the site. Sticking in Gotham, both seasons of Harley Quinn are also coming to HBO Max, following their original release on DC Universe.

It’s August 2020 and that can only mean one thing: HBO Max is about to enter Lovecraft Country.

Over the years HBO (and by the transitive property its new HBO Max streaming offshoot) has grown accustomed to debuting a buzzworthy new TV show or limited series every couple of months. For August 2020 that will almost certainly be Southern Gothic horror series Lovecraft Country. The J.J. Abrams and Jordan Peele-produced thriller arrives on August 14 on HBO and HBO Max.

Other strong HBO Max originals arriving in August include the documentary Class Action Park (release date Tbd), Seth Rogen-starring comedy An American Pickle (Aug. 6), and finales for I’ll Be Gone in the Dark, Doom Patrol, and Perry Mason.

Looks like Ranveer Singh is getting a truly brilliant birthday present. The actor, who was born on July 6th, 1985, will have his wax statue revealed at the prestigious Grévin museum in Paris on his birthday.

The famous Parisian attraction, which is celebrating its 135th anniversary, allows visitors to meet more than 200 personalities in unique settings.

Speaking about the birthday launch of the statue at the Grévin, Ranveer said, “It’s a truly special birthday present and one that will always bring back beautiful memories of Paris. The song has dethroned and outpaced some of the popular chartbusters of 2016-2017 to become the #1 Hindi song on YouTube. The song in fact has hit over 235 million hits! Whoa!

On release, ‘Nashe Si Chadh Gayi’ first shattered YouTube’s record for most views for a Hindi movie song in a 24-hour timespan.
