Folklore and horror for children, but in a good way

This is a very good series, with 2 movies for so far, from the Belgian studio 100. The series and movies take place in a town in the woods, called Schemermeer. Shadowlake in English. It's a place with a thin line between Earth and Hell, and sometimes a creature crosses this line to do harm on Earth.

An Elf, a Vampire and a Werewolf work together as a team, called 'De Nachtwacht' (Night's Watch) to prevent the harm from being done, and to send the creature back to Hell.

They also get help from a man in a book, called Vega. He's the one who knows every creature by heart and how to defeat them.

The series and movies are very well brought and made, as a non-American studio without all those big budgets. The acting is solid and good. The stories are very well brought as well.

It can be scary and creepy for younger children, but mine are 9 and 6 years old, and they handle the tension and monsters (creatures) very well.

Have fun watching this show.

Thanks!
