Is this a comedy?

I couldn't tell. There was nothing funny about the movie I watched. In fact, it's boring as hell. Why all the fake ratings; this rates a 1 and that is being generous.

I gave up, maybe it's for potheads, I dunno

I cut my losses after 30 minutes, because it wasn't particularly interesting and it certainly wasn't funny. Maybe I missed the best part, but I'll never know and don't really care.

Just Awful

Officially the worst movie I have personally seen.

The main actor... Character because it's inappropriate to call him and Actor. He's so bad. Clearly has no idea what acting actually is. His performance is akin to watching a circus clown with no makeup and no clue.

I couldn't care less about the story or whatever, turned it off after 30mins. What I did see was nonsensical, incredibly forced and the unfunniest piece of media that could exist. There are no redeeming qualities such as 'So bad it's Good'. Nope. Just bad. With zero point to exist.

Everyone involved in this movie needs to find a new path in life.

What a laugh!

I had a great time watching this hilariously funny film. During this morbid time on earth (covid-19), this film is just what the doctor ordered. It was fun, entertaining, well shot and with a great leading man. Very cleverly written and executed!

Funny Action Comedy indie film, delivers on the laughs

I really needed a good laugh and Dealer provided that over and over. Reminded me in some ways of Sin City and the Hangover, this fish out of water story (a blackjack dealer) who finds himself thrown into the life of a drug dealer, delivers some good lighthearted comedy along with some fun action.

Winning Comedy Hand

Rightly or wrongly, our stereotypes of Las Vegas tend to coalesce around gambling and drugs, though not always in that order. Melding comedy with elements of action movies, "Dealer" leverages Sin City's perceived behavioral cornerstones in a film that's as engrossing as it is funny.

Lundon Boyd is one of a handful of director-screenwriters credited on "Dealer." He's also in front of the lens as Kelly, a blackjack dealer who isn't predisposed to take risks -- until he's forced into being a drug dealer for a day, during which he constantly finds himself in extreme occupational peril. It's a great premise that's met with great execution in all phases of the filmmaking cycle.

Indie comedy can be fraught with pitfalls, as the public has limited tolerance for jokes that don't hit. No such concerns with "Dealer," as its refreshing storytelling format, consistently tight writing, and committed acting performances give rise to a comedy gem that's uniquely its own thing. - (Was this review of use to you? If so, let me know by clicking "Helpful." Cheers!)

Solid Anthology, Great Comedy

I wasn't completely sold on the anthology setup at first, but I think it was actually handled very well and added to the film. The comedy was definitely the best part. Pretty rare that an indie film can deliver on the comedic front but this one pulled it off. Lundon Boyd was great! He has some great comedic timing.

What a ride!

This film is funny and crazy! It's interesting that different directors did different parts. There's alot more laughs here than in one of the forced studio comedies that get shelled out at us non-stop.

Fun and hilarious wild ride

This was a super fun film, with a likeable character whose unassuming, unconfident personality endears us to him, and makes him the perfect "victim" for this wild ride. The scenarios he's put in are outrageously fun, many of the characters colourful and humorous. It's a well-made comedy that stand-ups with the studio comedies, and I found myself laughing out loud a lot and you will too.

funny indie comedy

This was good. Was not sure what to expect as I stumbled across this one. It proved to be better than a weekend in Vegas. It is funny, well written and decently acted. And there are eels. Not always easy to deliver comedy in an indie movie. But they do it. Worth a watch and have a laugh.

Solid comedy film

This is one terrific indie film! It's good from beginning to end! A lot of indie comedy films fall a short. Actually a lot short. But "Dealer" is not one that falls short on good comedy. I found the writing was solid throughout along with the directing. I wasn't drifting off nor drifting off to the kitchen. You won't be disappointed. So for me, I give this one a thumbs up!!

Great in terms of Indie movies

Well this movie is certainly very much enjoyable. The thing about this movie is that it's interesting and entertaining rather then being funny. Many people are surprised by good reviews in this movie. Many people who are criticising it are saying that this movie is not funny and are surprised by good reviews and wonder why people love this movie even though its not funny. There is difference between movie being funny and movie being entertaining or interesting. Obviously good funny movie can be both entertaining and interesting but it is not necessary that the every good entertaining and interesting movie will be funny. This movie is not funny that much but it certainly is very much entertaining. Yes this movie have some minutes where u will feel bored and sleepy but rest of the minutes are super enjoyable and entertaining and interesting. The boring minutes are just approx 5 minutes or so. Also if you watch this movie with keeping in mind that this is actually an indie movie then you will enjoy movie more. I wanted to give this movie 8 rating tbh but I gave it 10 because it is indie but still so much enjoyable.

A true indie comedic gem.

Dealer was a really solid comedic indie gem. This films follows an actual dealer forced into making four deliveries for his roommate. All of the directors did a fantastic job pulling the best performances out of their actors. Lead actor Lundon Boyd really carried this film. The journey that he encounters in one day would be a lifetime experience for most people. The music, editing, & camera work were all on point.
