    Good movie! Creepy marketing!!

I found this movie in the creepiest of ways!

The apparent director of it, this guy named slashervictim666, found me on instagram and asked me to watch his movie. The guy acted creepy as hell and to be honest I wasn't even sure if there was a movie or if he was just a typical instagram idiot.

So he showed me and my sister his movie which plays out like a snuff film that he made. It was pretty funny actually until the end when it got super violent and gory. Like a snuff film.

Movie I would give a 6.5 or 7 and the creepy marketing I would have to give a 10. Super original.

    Overall 8.

Probably one of the best independant Movies your likely to see period ? .....

What do we all want to do, be famous ? Reely famous, take a walk on broadway , live in Hollywood and become a star ???

Todd Smith wanted it all so he was to become famous first ...

Reel isnt your average film, Slashervictim666 isnt your average director, he has a goal in life and thats to get us all to the Golden House and become stars, everyone wants to become famous so SV666 is the keeper, no longer belittled in the Red Room by Doug his dad, he is now making his second masterpiece, his first REEL is a right of passage, you need to take it all in, in various steps and stages ...

Follow the Journey first of Todd Smith he wanted to become famous and a big star like Quentin Tarantino, make movies with his name instead of big shot Hollywoodland directors, Todd has a youtube channel your first steps to be apart of the SV666 Family is to follow Todd, then you are up to speed...

Next witness REEL it has 3 different shapes and forms DVD/VHS or Online, I chose the latter the Gate Keeper provided me with the key to the secret box, and opened my eyes as I was blind to Todds gift Slashervictim666 gave me fresh eyes to become a lifelong friend, he opened up with full arms ...

Stage 3 if you make it is read SV666 book 111 pages of his best 50 influencial movies that gives you all you need to know about the beginning to the end, tips how to become a famous director and stories of his family tree ...

Finally watch 4 episodes of "Who wants to be Reely Famous" and catch up with what happened after REEL and the slow progression to get you into the Golden House full of stars, walk onto the podium to REEL 2 which is coming soon ...

All these will get you firstly into the family and get you a new friend for life and 2 you will witness some of the most realism shot footage seen by any director...

Now REEL personally it was 9.5/10 movie, near on perfect from a unknown new director in Slashervictim666 showing you how he became famous and the story of Todd Smith you will be left in awe, breathless to what you just witnessed, flawed by everything that flashed before your eyes not once have I seen something as shocking and refreshing to a dmap genre as this, I have taken the step, read the book and watched the first 4 episodes of the followup series, I will be buying the dvd and so should you all, its a different movie / cut altogether if I can be shocked even more I will be 1 step closer to being family ...

Overall take a walk on the wilder side and join Slashervictim666 on a journey that wont end unless you cut ties from his "Family" do something with yourself follow my steps and follow the link in the comments take the stages ti become famous Todd Smith did and now hes in the stars !!!!

    SV666 ❤

Excellent but just a fragment of the world that's been built here

I read another review here that said they were approached by Slashervictim666 to watch this, and yeah I was approached the same way. Even though it says Chris Good Goodwin in the IMDb credits, Slashervictim666 is the 'reel director' of this.

This is a tough movie to review because I feel the movie itself is only one part of the equation. There's so many things scattered online (that Slashervictim666 showed me) that are related to the film. The more you dig around, the more you discover. For instance, the lead character Todd Smith has a full-fledged YouTube channel with dozens of videos that make it seem like he's an actual legit person.... and that's just one example.

Reel is actually a good title for this because with all the internet easter eggs and backstory, it definitely feels like it's real. If you just go into this cold, watching it randomly, it won't be as effective as someone who's had a chance to talk to Slashervictim666 and dove into all the world that is built here.

Definitely highly recommended. I can't really relate it to too many horror experiences I've ever had. It's like watching Saw and then going online, realizing Jigsaw is a real person, having a chat with him and then finding instagram profiles of all his victims. Something like that.

Anyhow, watch the movie but make sure you talk to Slashervictim666 before you do (or after). I think he's on every social media platform? There's a whole world to discover here and he's sort of the gatekeeper to it all. This movie is just a tiny fragment of what you'll find.

Not for everyone, but fantastic for it's target audience

Let me preface this by saying if you are someone who doesn't like graphic depictions of gore it would be best to turn away now. With all respect this movie isn't made for you and you won't enjoy the experience. With that out of the way let me begin.

It is difficult for me to find the right words to explain the way I feel towards this movie. As someone who has seen literally a hundred found footage movies, from a purely objective viewpoint, 'REEL' isn't all that noteworthy. You can find a better story, acting, and even gore in other movies of this style. But to me the part that stands out is the passion with which this was made.

Too often in the found footage genre are cheaply made films done solely to make a quick buck. But 'REEL' is different. You can just feel the amount of love put into this film in it's editing and presentation. They did a superb job in making a realistic and bloody snuff film the likes of which you could find at a crime scene. It may be bold of me to say something like "This is a must see movie for everyone" or "SlasherVictim666 is the greatest director ever and his movies masterpieces". But for those like me who are always looking for nasty horror movies made with soul, this will hopefully bring you the same entertainment it brought me.

    Pseudo snuff.

A wannabe film director and found footage freak runs around blabbing about what a die hard extreme horror fan he is via vlogging. But he ends up becoming a victim himself after being set up by another film maker. The last part of Reel is brutal and full on. The earlier vlog stuff I fast forwarded at times, as the main character was annoying.

    Gnarly.
