Joe Exotic’s husband, Jorge Marquez, was deported to Mexico shortly after being released from a Texas prison.
While serving a 22-year prison sentence for two counts of murder-for-hire, eight counts of violating the Lacey Act for falsifying wildlife records and nine counts of violating the Endangered Species Act, Joe Exotic met fellow inmate Marquez and the two were married in April. The star of the reality series The Tiger King shared a photo of the two newlyweds on April 22, writing, “Never been more proud of someone,” along with the introduction, “Meet my husband…”
In a post to X at the time, Joe Exotic also wrote, “Meet Jorge Marquez, he is 33. He is so amazing and is from Mexico. Now, the quest of getting married in prison and getting him asylum, or we be leaving America when we both get out.” He added, “Either way, I wish I would have met him long ago.

Here’s Why Katrina Kaif Once Expressed Concern For Janhvi Kapoor (Photo Credit – Instagram)
Katrina Kaif and Janhvi Kapoor are two of the most gorgeous actresses in the Hindi film industry. Kaif is senior to Janhvi, and they share a cordial relationship. Although Katrina and Janhvi have not yet received the opportunity to work together, the former once expressed her concern for the Bawal actress. Scroll below to find out.
Katrina made her Hindi film debut with Boom, which is probably not even known by many. Still, it featured an ensemble cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Jackie Shroff, Gulshan Grover, Padma Lakshmi and Madhu Sapre, Zeenat Aman. Meanwhile, Janhvi debuted over a decade after that with Dharma’s Dhadak. Janhvi is very much like Katrina when it comes to the professional life. Like Kat, Kapoor is also very hard-working and a risk-taker. Kaif initially faced problems due to her lack of command of the Hindi language.

Italian director, actor, and screenwriter Roberto Benigni returned to the scene after his timeless masterpiece “Life Is Beautiful” (1997) to present, in 2005, a work that is no less beautiful and splendid—even though it did not achieve the same level of fame and popularity. In fact, it is striking that the opinions about “The Tiger and the Snow” (2005) were so divided and varied.
In my view, there are many similarities between the two films. First, of course, is that Roberto Benigni wrote, directed, and starred in both films and in both, his real-life wife, Nicoletta Braschi, plays the female lead. The chemistry and complete harmony between the two are nothing short of astonishing. The second—and, in my opinion, most important—similarity is that in both films, Benigni searches for beauty amidst ugliness. He delves into history to uncover the darkest facets of human nature, weaving love stories and portraying tender...

Katrina Kaif Once Miffed Aditya Chopra So Much That The Filmmaker Dropped Her Name From A Film (Picture Credit: IMDb & Wikimedia)
Katrina Kaif has been a diva, and reports about her rumored fallouts, fights, and tantrums have been constant once upon a time. During the 2000s, she made her debut and struggled to make her mark until Salman Khan took her under her wings. Interestingly, she firmly paved her way in non-Salman films and shot to superstardom once she was picked by Yrf.
Kat did five roaring hits with the production house, starting with New York, followed by Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Ek Tha Tiger, and Dhoom 3. Interestingly, directors of New York and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Kabir Khan, and Ali Abbas Zafar connected with Kat dearly, so much so that they turned her Rakhi brothers.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Fargo Year 5, Episode 5, “The Tiger.”] Fargo‘s latest episode, “The Tiger,” saw Dot Lyon’s (Juno Temple) two worlds collide as her abusive first husband Roy Tillman (Jon Hamm) sought help from her current icy mother-in-law Lorraine Lyon (Jennifer Jason Leigh). Thinking he could use his powers of persuasion, the sheriff was less than productive in retrieving Dot from Lorraine’s clutches as both were unaware of the woman’s own escape attempt from the local hospital’s psychiatric ward. Setting forth the facts in his eyes, Roy tells Lorraine that Dot owes him a debt, something she should understand, and as his “property” should be returned. Lorraine isn’t one to be metaphorically man-handled though, flipping Roy’s argument on its head by informing the sheriff that after something goes missing for seven years, it no longer has an owner, and if they’re basing things on technicalities, it...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Fargo Year 5, Episode 5, “The Tiger.”] Fargo‘s latest installment, “The Tiger,” dips back into the anthology’s storytelling through narration with a rather familiar voice. Waking up in mother-in-law Lorraine Lyon’s (Jennifer Jason Leigh) home, Dot (Juno Temple) is greeted by some uniformed men and lawyer Danish Graves (Dave Foley), who intend to commit her as a psychiatric patient at the local hospital. A narrator chronicles the unfolding events as if the scene were from a nature documentary, categorizing Dot as a Tiger who is both defensive and protective of her young. But who is the individual steering viewers along on this Minnesota safari? It’s none other than Jason Schwartzman, who appeared as Josto Fadda, the son of a mob boss in Fargo Year 4. And he isn’t the first alum to return to the anthology as a narrator, with Billy Bob Thornton previously returning for Year 3’s...

The Walking Dead produced many emotional moments that made fans cry, from character deaths to heartwarming reunions. The show mastered making viewers invested and eliciting big reactions, even if some scenes left fans angry. The series had countless tear-jerking scenes that proved it was one of the hardest-hitting shows on TV, leaving a lasting impact on viewers.

The nature of the show meant some of the most beloved and influential characters were understandably killed off, which was still hard to swallow from an audience point of view. Alexander Skarsgard will star in “The Tiger” as the leader of a group of men tasked with protecting the endangered cats from poachers and loggers.
The actor recently headlined the blood-drenched viking epic “The Northman,” receiving a great deal of attention for his physical transformation into a chiseled Norse avenger. He will team here with Ukrainian filmmaker Myroslav Slaboshpytskyi, who wrote and will direct “The Tiger” based on the book by John Vaillant. Slaboshpytskyi previously directed 2014’s “The Tribe,” a critically-heralded story about a school for the deaf that was done entirely in Ukrainian sign language, with no subtitles.
Dane DeHaan, who played the Green Goblin in “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” and will soon appear in Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer,” is also attached to appear in “The Tiger.” He can currently be seen in Antonio Campos’ endlessly binge-able HBO Max drama “The Staircase.”

Ukrainian filmmaker Myroslav Slaboshpytskyi wrote and will direct the feature adaptation of John Valliant’s book The Tiger, in which Emmy, Golden Globe, and SAG Award-winner Alexander Skarsgard will star alongside Oppenheimer actor Dane DeHaan.
Set in snowy far east Russia in the late 90s, the feature follows a group of men — referred to as the Tiger Team — who work to protect endangered tigers from poachers and logging operations. The story follows Vanzin (Skarsgard), the Team’s leader whose sense of duty is tested when he’s charged with hunting down and exterminating a tiger that killed a poacher in self-defense. DeHaan would portray Kanchuga, a young environmental scientist and newest member of the Team.
Darren Aronofsky and Protozoa are producing, along with Plan B and Wild Bunch International. The Veterans will launch sales on the project at the Cannes Film Festival. CAA Media Finance is co-representing domestic rights.

Tradition is just an empty word in the world of gangsters, and the same could be said also for the world of film distribution. One might expect that a genre fare with an elite festival premiere should end up on the regular repertoire in movie theatres, regionally if not worldwide, but Park Hoon-jung’s “Night in Paradise” landed on Netflix instead earlier this year. We might blame it on the pandemic, but the fact is that the streaming services are expanding regardless of it.
As a screenwriter, Park is best known for his work with Kim Jee-won on the iconic serial killer flick “I Saw the Devil” (2010), but as a director, his most breakthrough work would be his second feature, “New World” (2013). The latter was a crime drama with a dash of action and gangster epic, so it is somewhat expected for the filmmaker to go back to the familiar...

Usually in this paragraph, I mention the importance of a particular upcoming project and why it should be on the audience’s radar. For this one, I’m just going to mention three names: director Ryoo Seung-wan and actors Kim Yoon-seek and Jo In-sung. This is the real-life action drama “Escape from Mogadishu”!
Synopsis
“Escape from Mogadishu” deals with a real-life defection incident between the two Korean embassies in Somalia back in the nineties that purports to explore the relevant motives behind the event. Han Shin-sung works as an ambassador at the South Korean Embassy in Mogadishu, Somalia. A civil war breaks out in the country. Han Shin-sung, his wife, and embassy officials are trapped in the embassy building. Meanwhile, Kang Dae-jin works as a councilor at the North Korean Embassy in Mogadishu. The North Korean Embassy experiences the same threat of violence as the South Korean Embassy. Han Shin-sung...

International sales agency The Open Reel has acquired Lebanese filmmaker Selim Mourad’s “Moss Agate” (“Agate mousse”), which is in the Rotterdam Film Festival’s Tiger competition.
In the film, a visit to a cosmetic-surgery clinic and the discovery of a lump in his testicle and an abscess in his mouth confront filmmaker Selim Mourad with transience and decay. After his death, which proceeds without any further explanation or ado, Selim’s image appears in an exhibition by a pretentious photographer, and a visitor to the gallery comments that the round framing of these portraits of the dead is reminiscent of film. The actual film frame then also adopts this circular form, this time with Selim’s friend Tamara at the center.
Mourad describes the film as “an ode to life, an exploration of death and rebirth, a poem about cinema,” in his director’s statement.

Netflix has officially announced a new episode of their Tiger King docuseries. Jeff Lowe, who appears in the series, stated last week that the streaming platform was going to release a new episode last week. As it turns out, he wasn't just trying to drum up some free publicity. Netflix made the announcement today, revealing that The Tiger King and I will premiere this Sunday, April 12th. However, the new episode will take on a different format.
