Matt Damon might soon find himself getting roped into Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez’s divorce drama.
As we previously reported, Ben and Jen did not sign a prenup before they tied the knot in 2022.
And because of that baffling decision, it will not be easy for the exes to simply go their separate ways.

According to TMZ, very asset these two earned over the past years must now be divided equally.
And that’s no easy feat. We’re talking about houses, cars, millions in earnings, and even a company that Ben started during that time.

I love HBO’s Project Greenlight because it’s one of the few reality shows designed to document inevitable failure.
Sure, that’s not the spoken aspiration of the series, which launched on the names and star presence of producers Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. Project Greenlight was created to give an opportunity for an unproven filmmaker to direct a low-budget feature with guaranteed distribution, and for viewers to learn about the filmmaking process through their behind-the-scenes misadventures. Those things, as audiences immediately learned, have absolutely nothing to do with making a good movie. Like the bear playing the violin, it’s entertaining enough that he’s doing it at all, and complaining about his bow posture is almost petty.
As Issa Rae, executive producer on Max’s new Project Greenlight reboot, diplomatically puts it, “The films of Project Greenlight past have… been Ok? You know? So we want to...

After Frances McDormand's epic Oscar speech, where she asked her Hollywood cohorts to adopt "inclusion riders" for all future projects, another company has answered the call. After Michael B. Jordan took to social media last week to announce his commitment to inclusion riders, for all projects being developed under his production company Outlier Society, Pearl Street Films, the production company run by Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, have also committed to adopting inclusion riders. Here's what Pearl Street Films head of strategic outreach, Fanshen Cox Digiovanni, had to say on Twitter, responding to Michael B. Jordan's original tweet.
"@michaelb4jordan Thank you for always supporting broader representation in the industry. On behalf of Pearl Street Films, Matt Damon, @BenAffleck, Jennifer Todd, Drew Vinton & I will be adopting the #InclusionRider for all of our projects moving forward."
Neither Matt Damon nor Ben Affleck themselves have commented on their company adopting...

Nearly everyone who was involved with the fourth season of “Project Greenlight” might be best classified as a survivor. Amongst their number was Peter Farrelly, who served as a mentor for the first few episodes of the series before quitting somewhat abruptly.
As documented in the reality series, which chronicled the making of a low-budget HBO feature, Farrelly butted heads with producer Effie Brown during pre-production before backing away from the drama of being on a reality show. “I can see that Effie wants drama and I don’t want to engage with it,” he said at the end of the third episode, “Gun to Your Head.”

Speaking about what it will take to bring about more diversity in the entertainment industry, indie producer Effie Brown, offering the keynote address Sunday at the 12th annual Film Independent Forum in Los Angeles, said, "There are only two ways we have made change in systemic oppression: shame and money." She continued, "Our weapon is our voice, and our bullets are our dollars. We cannot support financially the people and places and things that are not inclusive, that participate in oppression.” Brown's producing credits include Justin Simeon's Dear White People and The Leisure Class, the film whose making

Hulu released the mid-season finale of "The Mindy Project" yesterday, and I have thoughts on that episode and season 4 to date coming up just as soon as I sign up for this great new dating website called Ashley Madison... Once upon a time, "The Mindy Project" was going to be called "It's Messy." While that title lacked either part of Mindy Kaling's name in it, and would have invited some easy jokes if critics hadn't liked it, it would have captured not only the messiness of Mindy Lahiri's life, but the intrinsic messiness of the show itself. The series has tried lots of different things in terms of characters and tone, and though the cast more or less settled down midway through the Fox run, there are still pieces that feel mismatched, and characters like Jeremy who have stuck around even though nobody seems to know what to do with him anymore(*). (*) In hindsight,...

Throughout the recent reboot of HBO's "Project Greenlight," which wound up Sunday night followed by a Monday airing of the indie film being made on the show, "The Leisure Class," you could count on Ben Affleck being the smartest guy in the room and producer Effie Brown keeping things interesting. Any woman who has ever had a role on a movie set (in my 20s I served as unit publicist on several movies) will see how Brown illustrates the ways women in power are perceived by men. A veteran of some 17 indie productions, several of them at HBO, Brown knows what she is doing. What she doesn't do is defer, couch, soften, or kowtow. She just calls it as she sees it, and you witness how hard that is for the white men around her to handle. They reflexively support each other —and want to tune her out. One...

Stolen Summer, The Battle of Shaker Heights, Feast and, now, The Leisure Class. The ends never have justified the means on Project Greenlight, the HBO/Bravo reality series that details the production of a contest-selected feature film. Executive producers — and perpetual good-will hunters — Matt Damon and Ben Affleck may very well want to pay it forward by giving unproven artists a shot at Hollywood glory. What typically results, however, is more of a gawk-at-this freak show that reduces the varying bumps, triumphs and tedium of the creative process to a manufactured series of hyperdramatic high points. The
