Last year, Charles Band’s company Full Moon announced that they were launching a new production label called Pulp Noir, which would focus on “edgier, weirder, darker horror and dark fantasy films.” Two Pulp Noir movies, Quadrant and Death Streamer, have since made their way through production – and while those movies were initially released in color, all of the Pulp Noir movies will also get black & white “noir” releases, so there are both color and black & white versions of Quadrant and Death Streamer available on the Full Moon Features streaming service. The Apple TV+ show, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, is changing everything we thought we knew about the Monsterverse. For years, it seemed like humanity had only discovered the Hollow Earth in Godzilla vs. Kong. However, we now know that Monarch was secretly exploring it as far back as the 1960s, during a mission called Operation Hourglass.
This changes the timeline completely, and with the series introducing Axis Mundi, an unnatural gateway into the Hollow Earth, it opens the door to even bigger mysteries. In the series, a few characters were able to enter this dangerous world without any disruption, which did not make sense, as characters like Cate saw a huge time jump during her short visit to Hollow Earth. So, what is the Axis Mundi, and how does it differ from everything we know so far?

Ury Ishida is one of Bleach's central characters, and he plays a significant role in the Thousand-Year Blood War Arc. The anime recently revealed Ury's Quincy: Vollstndig transformation, which came as a surprise since he never used this technique in the manga. Quincy: Vollstndig enhances all of Urys physical abilities and it grants him access to special Energy Feathers that fire lethal energy projectiles. This form is strong, but there are several Bleach characters who can destroy Ury's Quincy: Vollstndig.
Many of the characters who can destroy Ury's Quincy: Vollstndig are Captain-ranked Soul Reapers with powerful Zanpakuto. Several high-ranked Quincy and a former Espada should be able to take Ury down as well. Most of these characters can destroy Ury's Quincy: Vollstndig because they possess insanely overpowered abilities.

So far, 2024 hasn’t comparatively been a fantastic year for gaming in general, with very few truly notable releases. There were no standout titles in the first few months of the year, and the most intriguing releases came in the second half. Fortunately, indie games have come to dominate what’s left of the year with several exciting surprises.
Titles like Europa or The Plucky Squire have made their mark, offering completely original gameplay experiences that transport players to other worlds. These nine indie games are most anticipated for the rest of the year.
9 – Die by the Blade Die by the Blade is a new 3D fighting title. Image via Grindstone.
Grindstone developed this game, offering a unique scenario where players must kill their opponent with a single blow. The idea is to create a duel-style setting where players can choose their preferred weapon to try to land the decisive strike.

Sniper Elite: Resistance confirmed for Day-One launch on Xbox Game Pass in 2025 - a major win for fans! Rebellion's Sniper Elite series offers tight stealth mechanics and explosive kills with a gory X-ray camera. New features in Sniper Elite: Resistance include Propaganda Missions and returning fan-favorite multiplayer mode Axis Invasion.
Xbox Game Pass quietly confirmed another major franchise will release its next installment as a Day-One launch on the subscription service. After a tumultuous 2024, Microsoft is in the process of winning back fans after angering a large portion of its followers by announcing a massive price hike for Xbox Game Pass in July, a move many suspect was done to prepare for an influx of players looking to access Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. While that may be the case, those who retain their subscription will soon be able to play another fantastic shooter.

The Sharingan is one of the strongest kekkei genkai in Naruto, and it has been passed down through the Uchiha Clan for generations. This ocular kekkei genkai can see chakra, and it allows the user to copy any jutsu they see. The Sharingan grants incredible visual perception, allowing the user to read their opponent's movements. The base Sharingan is a tad overpowered in Naruto, but there are a few characters from Bleach who can counter it.
Most of the Bleach characters who can counter the Sharingan possess great spiritual power and somewhat broken abilities. Many of these Characters are high-level Soul Reapers and Quincies, but there is also an Arrancar that can make the Sharingan's visual prowess useless. The Sharingan can place others under a special type of genjutsu, but this would have no effect on Bleach characters since none of them possess chakra.

Nate Purkeypile is the solo developer of The Axis Unseen, which will be released later this year. Purkeypile was formerly part of Bethesda, where he worked for 20 years. During this time, he worked on titles like Fallout 3, Skyrim, and Starfield before venturing into the world of independent games.
Purkeypile recently released the latest trailer for his game, The Axis Unseen. The trailer revealed new elemental magic powers that the protagonist will possess, similar to those in Skyrim but on steroids. Skyrim’s mythical world and shadow archer-type combat are reflected in The Axis Unseen; although the similarities aren’t blatant, they hit more or less the same nerve.

David Schmoeller's 1989 film "Puppet Master" was almost going to be a theatrical release in the summer of 1989, but pivoted to the VHS market at the last minute. Looking at the 1989 supper movie season, one can see why producer Charles Band made the decision. "Puppet Master" would have opened against "Batman," "Ghostbusters II," "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade," "Back to the Future Part II," "Star Trek V: The Final Frontier," "License to Kill," and "Lethal Weapon 2." There were just too many blockbusters it would've had to compete with.
Its movement to the straight-to-video market might have reduced its prestige, but "Puppet Master" spawned many, many sequels (not to mention a few crossovers) that persist to this day (the most recent "Puppet Master" film was released in 2022). The killer puppets in the film have become minor horror icons and often serve as the face of Full Moon Features, a...

Wyatt Russell shares his desire to act alongside his father in Monarch: Legacy of Monsters season 2, hoping for a scene together. Kurt Russell has been previously cautious about a potential return in season 2, feeling his character arc concluded meaningfully in the season 1 finale. Possibilities for the Russells to share the screen in season 2 include time-bending events or near-death visions, the latter of which could set up either version of Lee Shaw for future Monsterverse appearances.
While his character has yet to be back for the next season, Wyatt Russell reveals his one wish for Monarch: Legacy of Monsters season 2. The Monsterverse show saw Russell and his father, Emmy and Golden Globe nominee Kurt Russell, both star as Lee Shaw, a former U.S. Army Colonel who served as one of the founding members of the titular organization alongside Bill Randa and Keiko Miura. While his reign is marked by both military triumphs and a fateful misstep, his story takes an even more surprising turn when considering his near inclusion as the main antagonist in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

This article contains mild spoilers for "Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire."
Earth, the planet we all live on and must share with each other, is an amazing place full of wonders. Even now in 2024, it's wild to realize that humanity has yet to explore every inch of the planet, with a staggering percentage of the Earth's oceans having only been mapped by satellites. Although it feels like we've reached an age where there's little mystery left in the terrestrial, there still exists so much possibility on our planet before we even begin to consider other planets or galaxies beyond.
Although the theory of a hollow Earth in real life holds about as much veracity as a flat Earth, the concept has become a delightful metaphor in the MonsterVerse series of films for the exploration of new realms, continuing a tradition from classic monster movies like the original "King Kong" of adventure and discovery.

An Iron Man return has been a controversial debate, but the hero could return to the MCU in Avengers: Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars through a multiversal variant. Although Tony Stark has been referenced in the MCU plenty of times since his death in Avengers: Endgame, Robert Downey Jr. has yet to reprise his role on-screen. However, the MCU’s Multiverse Saga lends itself perfectly to the revival of past characters.
Tony’s sacrifice for the greater good of the universe in Avengers: Endgame was a full-circle moment and the best exit for his character. While he is greatly missed in the MCU, there's an argument that simply reviving him would tarnish his perfect ending. However, one way Marvel could bring Iron Man back to the MCU would be to introduce an alternate version of the character. Rather than bringing back the version of Tony that died in Endgame,...

Aaron Hotchner wasn’t officially written out until season 12, episode 6. The character went into the Witness Protection Program after a serial killer stalks his son and eventually chooses to be a full-time father to Jack rather than return to the Bau.
In 2016, Thomas Gibson was suspended from Criminal Minds due to an on-set physical altercation with one of the show’s writer-producers. After his suspension, Gibson made a public statement of regret for the incident, explaining the quarrel was based on creative differences surrounding a Criminal Minds episode he was directing. If you’ve seen a hobbyist board game collection in the last four or five years, chance’s are that you’ll have seen at least one copy of Memoir ’44. This Days of Wonder game is a beautifully produced collection of plastic and cardboard that uses the well-trodden Command & Colours system created by the late Richard Borg. We’ve already reviewed the Command & Colours: Napoleonics game from GMT Games, and whilst the Napoleonic Wars are some of the most interesting for me personally, there’s no denying that Memoir ’44‘s exceptional production makes it a mouthwatering prospect.
Because Memoir ’44 has been out for quite a few years now, we thought that it might be useful to spice things up a bit with the most recent expansion, which is actually a remake of an older one. So, for at least half the plays we’ve undertaken whilst producing this review, we...

The first trailer for Blade: The Iron Cross is here. This is the latest from Full Moon Features, the iconic horror studio behind the Puppet Master franchise. Now, after several decades and many sequels, Full Moon is bringing the first standalone feature for one of its most beloved characters: the hook-handed maniac puppet, Blade. As we can see in the trailer, Blade's solo feature debut is going to be a bloody, wild ride filled with Nazis, undead foes and plenty of blood.
The trailer kicks off by showing us a mad scientist explaining his grand, evil plan. A sophisticated ray of sorts that he's concocted will allow him to revive the dead, providing him with a zombie-like army. We see a young woman who comes into possession of the Blade puppet and decides to bring him to life. We don't see much of Blade doing any actual killing, but we...

“Nowadays, you really can do almost anything with visual effects, but it’s a factor of your budget and your time and there’s never enough of either,” Lawson Deming explains in his exclusive interview with Gold Derby (watch the video above) about serving as the senior visual effects supervisor on “The Man in the High Castle.” Deming is nominated at the Emmys again for Best Visual Effects, specifically his company Barnstorm VFX’s work on the third season finale “Jahr Null,” which climaxes with the Statue of Liberty destruction that he cites as “the most ambitious sequence we’ve ever done on a show.”

Alt-history and historical drama television shows have become increasingly popular over the last few years. Take Prime Video’s smash hit “The Man in the High Castle,” which presents a dystopia where the Axis powers prevailed during World War II.
