Convoluted plots, noble message.

This movie has way too many sub plots running parallel to its own detriment. Better direction and editing could have made it an easy viewing. Disorienting at times it sends its audience on mystery search of their own to finds answers far far too long nonetheless the message at its core is noble and there are a few comical moments and some cliche plot twists.

characters turning in on themselves and changing shades as the movie progresses is well written and in my observation this unintentionally epitomizes that if redeemed with the right actions any one can be a hero, no matter how comical.

one terrible mess

#Bombairiya is one terrible mess. It has too many characters. A lady whos mobile phone is stolen - the phone which contains a hot video - the man who tries to help her retrieve it - the mans parents who r on the lookout for a bahu - the ladys ex boyfriend whos a fading actor - a lady politician who joins hands with the actor - the phone thief who has a parcel to deliver. How r they linked? Dont even bother to find out. Performances r decent, but the direction is chaotic. Running time should be reduced by 25 minutes. Rating 2/5.

Quite entertaining

Do not watch with high expectation. First half is fun but the climax is dull. Radhika has enough potential to do better movies, for this one she does justice to her leading role.

Lots of confusing and chaos leads to nowhere

Bombairiya is a comedy movie directed by Pia Sukanya and stars Radhika Apte, Siddhant Kapoor, Akshay Oberoi, Adil Hussain, Ravi Kishan, Amit Sial, Shilpa Shukla and Abhinay Deo.

The movie has an interesting plot which could've been developed in a great black comedy but the comedy of errors proved more errors and less comedy.

The acting is good in fact Siddhant Kapoor was surprisingly good, rest all actors were decent and quite impressive.

Screenplay is quite lacklustre and the makers were trying to make a complicated movie in order to hold the suspense till very end but with a very amateurish approach turned the movie into a confused rather chaotic movie.

The randomness also fails to evoke the interest and hence the movie which was expected as a dark humour with some suspense turns into a futile attempt.

Sheer Torture

I am not sure why this movie was made in the first place. Though it has a noble topic but the way it has been portrayed on the screen is a disaster and comical. It was torture to sit and watch this movie.

Shabbily directed ,bad acting from all the actors. Worst editing. Nothing worth to mention about this movie

Please save yourself from the torture. This movie is not even worth watching if this is the only thing to watch. Strictly avoidable.

Disappointing

Watched the movie with high hopes only to get disappointed half way through.

The plot was great but the screenplay, editing and direction were all very weak.

Director seemed confused whether to treat the movie as comedy or serious

Treat

The plot twists are confusing a bit. But due to the fact that it has all the major actors from new wave Indian/Netflix era, it was a treat to watch. Don't miss it and don't judge it that why all these great performers are doing in this film if you don't enjoy it.

Very well-played and well-scripted engaging drama

A creative endeavour that is fast paced and keeps you on toes with bouts of comedy, mystery and inspiration throughout. A refreshing and optimised take on story telling. Very engaging movie addressing a much ignored aspect of judicial system of developing countries . Recommended for cine goers looking for a fresh perspective.

Amazing

Amazing and refreshing movie. Grows in intensity and the comedy is slapstick but enjoyable. Watch without predetermined opinions and you'll enjoy

A fast paced crime comedy

Hilarious twists and turns . Radhika Apte rules. Lots of brilliant actors perform some excellent scenes. Akshay Oberoi is adorable. Siddhant Kapoor does well . Ravi Kissan is hilarious in a few scenes. There are many unexpected twists and turns the story takes

Very entertaining, gripping and funny - don't understand the bad reviews

The other reviews on imdb for Bombairiya were either extremely positive or negative. Nevertheless, I decided to give the movie a go as the premise seemed fairly intriguing. I'm so glad i did! The movie was very interesting from the beginning to the end. It was a good mix of thrills and laughs with endearing characters. Ofcourse there are a few areas that could have been improved upon to make the twists and turns in the plot more accessible to the lower denominator of the indian public, but then the movie would be less intriguing. I can thoroughly recommend the movie to people who liked films like Badla, do dooni chaar, dreamgirl, khosla ka ghosla, katthal.

Clever

If you finish the film thinking that the plot was all over the place and hard to follow, think again.

Every character has their own agenda, focused on getting what they want. They're so invested in themselves that they fail to see the bigger picture of what is happening around them.

The way the film takes the viewer on a rollercoaster ride without you realizing it is something I've never experienced before.

Really clever.

Funny with a depth

"Funny with a depth" are my favorite kind of movies and this ones lives right up to it. I don't understand why this has gotten such a low rating because the story is phenomenal, and the acting complement the narrative. It was a treat to watch. Don't read the reviews before you watch the movie, watch it for yourself and then decide.

Worth a watch

The movie is a bit fast paced and probably uncomfortable genre for some but it is well made with some great work by most of the actors involved. The plot is a bit convoluted but has enough in it, set at a decent pace with interesting moments and characters. Overall the movie is probably worth a one time watch, there are quite a few smirks, possibly laughs in the plot but the overall premise and acting, especially from Radhika Apte, is way better than the usual churn of the mill.
