If you like the Conchords...

This was a great, hilarious performance. Musically great too. It had me crying I was laughing so hard at times.

Great show

The New Zealand folk-parody duo Flight of the Conchords (Jermaine Clement and Bret McKenzie) perform some of their most well-known songs, interspersed with some funny stories, to a live audience at the London Apollo. They are joined by the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra.

Wonderfully funny and intelligently thought-out. Some very funny songs and some great humour in between too. All the well-known standards are there plus a few touches to keep things fresh. Great musicianship too.

The chemistry and synchronisation between Jermaine Clement and Bret McKenzie is spot-on. Sometimes it looks like they're just riffing individually but the way it all hangs together so perfectly means it was either very well planned and executed or their chemistry is so good they can just jam and the everything is still spot-on.

Absolute amazing, laughing the whole time

One of the funniest Flight of the Conchords performances I've seen to date. Absolutely brilliant, was never bored throughout the hour and a half special. Yes, it was a full hour and a half of Bret Mckenzie and Jemain Clements' hilarious songs and banter we've all come to love for. Featuring fan favorites, and some more obscure songs that a lot of newer fans might not know. A riot throughout, and I definitely recommend this HBO Flight of the Conchords reunion special for the whole family of 14+.

Ahhhhhhhhh....!

It is *so* gratifying to see that these guys still have it.

They mix some great new stuff with old faves and tear the house down.

There's really nothing else to say about the performances: They're still super creative and funny after "all these years".

The production for the special is excellent. The sound is perfect, and the video includes some very clever superimposed dual cam shots which seamlessly cross fade.

Jemaine & Bret, the two geniuses from New-Zealand did it again.

Flight Of The Conchords, a show not very well known by the public, and it should as it was just brilliant. In my entourage I barely know anyone that ever heard of that show, let alone watched it. My wife and I were very disappointed when it ended, much too early in our opinion. But when I saw that they toured I couldn't watch their show fast enough. Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement are geniuses, not only with the humor in their lyrics but also with their music. All their songs are very catchy, and besides being humorists they are good musicians as well, the kind that can play several different instruments, several different genres of music. To watch this show you have to have a good knowledge of the English language (I normally speak French or Dutch), but if you're like me the subtitles during this show are more than welcome to enjoy their performance at the fullest. I laughed during the entire show, like I did in the past with the original series. Jemaine and Bret are a unique pair of comedians, you won't get any other show like theirs. The ingenuity and weirdness of their lyrics must have been written under influence of the green herb. I certainly wouldn't mind spending an evening vaping weed with those two, that's for sure a guaranteed laughing fest.

Very enjoyable return - one for fans and new viewers

I remembered the second season of this show being a bit weaker than the first, and then since then all the band members went their separate ways and doing well. This meant I wasn't missing the group aspect too much as we had the seasons to go back to, and plenty from them as individuals. As a result I sat on this special for a while before watching it. When I did, I found them back on top form and very good in front of a crowd. They broke character a few times but mostly it added to the comedy and sense of enjoyment. The deadpanning, the word play, and the catchy songs were all of a high standard and it produced many good laughs as well as generally being consistently funny throughout.

The venue appeared huge but yet their act remained as effective as it was in smaller venues or in the intimacy of the TV show, which is down to their talents as comedians. A great special for fans, and a great way to be introduced if you haven't seen them before now.

Kinda Disappointed, Still Entertained.

I think the amount of instruments and audio effects didn't really work all that well in their favor. It was quite entertaining nonetheless.

An absolute masterpiece!

I've literally just created my account to recommend this gem. Flight of the Conchords at it's finest. The quality of the show is gorgeous. Many laughs and surprisingly many (unintentional) emotional moments. Bret Mackenzie and Jemaine Clement deserve all the praise for putting together a wholesome project that haven't decreased in quality over the years, just great as ever. A must watch nonetheless!

Amazed

Watched the show and was amazed... amazed they took the time to CGI in an audience and add a laugh track. Well done.

A Perfect conclusion to the Conchords

I loved the Flight of the Conchords' TV show and didn't really like how it ended. However, I think that this special is the perfect conclusion to the show. It has all the best songs from the show plus some really fun new song. I would defiantly recommend watching it.
