Highly recommended for family viewing (Parents and children together)

I saw this a while back on Sky and intended to gain more info. This is my first attempt at entering a review: This is a wonderful film which almost perfectly depicts the growing pains of young adolescent girls who are very impressionistic.

What I mean by that is that this film illustrates young girls' intimate struggles with life especially when coming from a 'broken home.'

I can't imagine this was a high cost film so I probably know the answer to my question. "Why, when they played the father's (and the sheep's) favorite music, Elvis Presley - did they use a cover version instead of the real thing? I can only imagine it was the cost of the music rights? - correct?

In any event that is what forced me to grade the film 9 instead of a 10 - the performance quality of the cover used was not very good.

I believe using original Elvis recordings would have made all the difference in the world. In any event, it's still a wonderful, thought-provoking and entertaining film with a positive theme for a change - and an emphasis on family values. Thank you for the opportunity to comment.
