Intense drama and moments with high stakes make up the core of The Vampire Diaries. From Elijah's veiled threats to Elena's resilience, each character shines in their own unique ways on the show. Their uniqueness also gives rise to some unforgettably badass moments that have stayed imprinted in audience memory for the rest of time.
These were moments where characters unleashed their full power, or they showed a previously unseen side of themselves to viewers. They had a dark side to them, or they decided to show their power after laying low for too long. These badass moments were iconic and heart-pounding because of the impact they had, and they proved that Tvd was more than just a romantic teen show.

The story of Kvothe — infamous magic user, king-slayer, and...barkeep — has enthralled multiple generations of readers without reaching its end. Author Patrick Rothfuss has been vocal about his struggles to complete The Doors of Stone, the third and final full-length entry into his Kingkiller Chronicle series. The situation can’t help but remind fantasy enthusiasts of George R.R. Martin’s struggle to finish the purportedly penultimate entry in his A Song of Ice and Fire series: The Winds of Winter.
Still, there’s proof that Rothfuss has been working on The Doors of Stone. And in spite of it still lacking a release date, there is sound reason to be cautiously optimistic about it coming out before another 13 years have passed. That may have to be solace enough for Kingkiller fans for now.

The cast of Boy Meets World candidly reacts to Mr. Turner's one-sentence sendoff. Played by Anthony Tyler Quinn, the character of Jonathan Turner was important in the early seasons of the family sitcom. Appearing in 51 episodes, which went from season 2 to season 4, Turner develops a fatherly relationship with Shawn Hunter (Rider Strong). It makes it all the more jarring when Mr. Turner is abruptly written off the show after getting into a motorcycle accident, with Quinn not reprising the role until the spinoff Girl Meets World.
With the rewatch podcast Pod Meets World revisiting the season 5 finale "Graduation", which features a joke about the fact that Mr. Turner wanders a part of the school that the protagonists never visit along with other disappeared supporting characters. Danielle Fishel (Topanga) and Will Friedle (Eric) reacted to the Mr. Turner joke, along with Strong, and they shared mixed feelings. While they acknowledged that it was funny,...

Bucky Barns himself, Sebastian Stan, looks set to continue his impressive work away from the Marvel Cinematic Universe with a collaboration with director Cristian Mungiu.
If there’s one member of the ranks of the MCU that has really succeeded at searching out roles that stretch him as an artist, it’s surely Sebastian Stan. Yes, Robert Downey Jr won an Oscar this year and has been (rightly) lauded by all and sundry since stepping out of the Iron Man suit, but Stan has been picking roles that demand he loses himself in them.
His last two films are The Apprentice and A Different Man, two of this year’s most absorbing dramas, and as the leading man in both projects, Stan is fantastic. While awards aren’t everything, he’s sure to be in the conversation for some shiny orbs this year. Whether he ends up picking up and...

Viewers, especially those who live in America, know that Rick and Morty is relentless. Not only does the hit adult cartoon's intergalactic storytelling often feature warp-speed pacing, but as an intellectual property, Adult Swims sci-fi comedy has permeated American pop culture and head-shops alike without interruption since its 2013 debut. It's arguably one of the most definitive and impactful adult cartoons to come out in the last decade. Rick and Morty is so beloved that it even outlasted co-creator/star voice actor Justin Roilands ousting as a sexual and physical abuser, continuing unflinchingly after his removal from the show.
With video games, comic books, tie-in Dungeons and Dragons modules, and a never-ending stream of merchandise already under its belt, Rick and Morty now aims to add anime to its credit with the aptly titled Rick and Morty: The Anime and its debut episode, "The Girl Who Manipulates Time." Buffy the Vampire Slayer was one of the most beloved television series ever, but several moments made some viewers stop watching altogether. As a powerful feminist story about the teenage vampire slayer Buffy Summers and her battles against vampires, demons, and the forces of darkness, Buffy was a groundbreaking television series for its depiction of strong female characters, LGBTQ+ themes, and incredible worldbuilding. However, other moments werent as well received, and certain aspects led audiences to stop following the adventures of the Scooby Gang.

“Three Kilometres to the End of the World” opens on the most shocking of images: A sunset, lushly captured in widescreen from far back on beach, silhouetting two lovers with the whole world all to themselves. You might even gasp.
Only once director Emanuel Parvu goes beyond the opening postcard to reveal more of his hand, you can more easily place this Palme d’Or contender within the grand tradition of Romanian cinema at the Cannes Film Festival. And once you get to know this motley bunch, you can more than easily understand why someone might describe them with this pithy summation: “This country is rotten. Just like the people in it.”
If anything, the uncomplicated beauty of that opening shot offers the necessary ballast when set against the ugliness that follows, for actor-turned-director Emanuel Parvu is playing a devious game, dissembling and examining the mechanisms of reactionary conservatism with...

A hot, strong summer wind is the overriding soundtrack to “Three Kilometers to the End of the World” — the kind of dry, whirring weather that swallows conversations held even a short distance away, and carries stray, light objects far from where they meant to land. For 17-year-old Adi, however, it’s not loud enough to keep his secrets safe, nor heavy enough to lift and float him away from the home in which he feels increasingly imprisoned. A rural village in thrall to the Romanian Orthodox Church proves as hostile an environment as you’d expect for a closeted gay teen in writer-director Emanuel Pârvu’s claustrophobic study of personal and institutional prejudice closing in on a community misfit: If the breeze would just die down for a second, you might hear Adi’s inner clock tensely counting down his slim shot at freedom.

“Three Kilometers to the End of the World,” the new film from Romanian actor turned filmmaker Emanuel Parvu, feels old-fashioned in its conceit and approach to a homophobic attack that spurs a remote Romanian village into moral panic. It’s obvious from the first frames what Parvu owes to Cristian Mungiu, the great Romanian filmmaker whom Parvu starred for in the film “Graduation.” “Three Kilometers” employs a clinical-distance perspective toward the story of how a brutally beaten, closeted 17-year-old’s trauma is doubted and exploited by his parents and townspeople. The feature, Parvu’s third, blends suspenseful procedural with family drama but is missing a key point of view: That of the victim, whose assault is a Trojan horse into the film’s more macro interest in how bigotry and conformity entwine, and how emotionally repressed adults deal with teen homosexuality when it hits close to home.

The Cannes Film Festival has long been like a second home for Romanian filmmakers, and actor-turned-director Emanuel Pârvu will continue that tradition when he ascends the steps of the Lumière Theater on May 17 for the premiere of “Three Kilometers to the End of the World,” which will compete for the Palme d’Or.
Pârvu’s third feature follows 17-year-old Adi (Ciprian Chiujdea), who’s spending the summer in his hometown in the Danube Delta. As he prepares for final exams and gets ready to start a new life, Adi is brutally attacked on the street, turning his world upside-down. Suddenly, the seemingly tranquil façade of his village begins to show its cracks, as Adi finds himself at odds with the customs and mores of his community.
“Three Kilometers to the End of the World” is written by Pârvu and his longtime collaborator Miruna Berescu, who produced the film for the FAMart Assn.

The creators of ‘Young Sheldon’ are really invested in saying a proper goodbye to the series by bringing back two of our favorite characters from the original ‘The Big Bang Theory.’
Jim Parsons played the eccentric genius Sheldon Cooper – the character around whom the whole series revolves – and Mayim Bialik played Dr. Amy Farrah Fowler, an equally brilliant scientist who also happens to be Sheldon Cooper’s love interest. Together, they’re making sure ‘Young Sheldon’ ends on the highest note possible.

For many kids growing up in the '90s, the animated X-Men series would have most likely been their first point of exposure to Marvel's mutants, and – along with the Batman: The Animated Series and later, Spider-Man: The Animated Series – their introduction to comic book superheroes in general. X-Men: The Animated Series ran for an impressive five seasons between 1992 and 1997 and quickly became one of the highest-rated kids' shows on TV. This is a legacy that remains strong to this day. Director Bryan Singer used it as his primary source of research when prepping for the first X-Men film because the series had been so successful in condensing down over 40 years' worth of key storylines from the comics. In 2015, Marvel started releasing an ongoing comic series based on the cartoon, X-Men '92, to honor the show's impact and has led to a revival with X-Men '97.

Professor Xavier's absence in X-Men '97 shifts focus to Magneto's leadership, adding complexity to the storyline. X-Men comics hint that Xavier's absence may not be permanent, teasing a possible return in the future. The absence of Professor X in X-Men '97 allows for deeper exploration of Magneto's character evolution and motivations.
Professor Xavier has been notably absent from X-Men '97, for which the series proffers a contradictory, and perhaps inaccurate, explanation. Marvel's X-Men '97 revived the classic 1990s X-Men: The Animated Series. X-Men '97 triumphantly reunited many of the original cast and crew to recommend the original's narrative just months after it concluded in 1997. Apparently, wherever Kanye West goes, drama follows, which leads to the question: isn’t it time to crown him the Drama King?
This is because of the incessant drama following the “Donda” rapper everywhere he goes. For example, the recent lawsuit he filed against his ex-worker YesJulz.
Before we delve into the lawsuit, let’s first of all look at the events that led to the lawsuit, shall we?
On Tuesday, March 12, the “Graduation” rapper released a public announcement that he and YesJulz, the 34-year-old media personality, born Julianne Marrie Goddard, are no longer working together.
It is worth knowing that YesJulz worked with Kanye during the rollout of “Vultures” Vol 1 which was released in February.
Kanye’s post which was shared via his Instagram story as of then read, “We have decided to no longer have YesJulz involved in the roll out of Vultures.

Towering civil rights leaders Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X, both assassinated at the age of 39, met briefly on March 26, 1964 at the U.S. Capitol, where they were both present in support of the passage of the Civil Rights Act. While their paths intersected only once before their untimely deaths, the Nat Geo series “Genius: MLK/X” presents their extraordinary lives in tandem, despite their famously opposing ideologies.

Rapper Kanye West’s lack of hygiene has been turning his wife Bianca Censori off amid their global vacation. “He wears these outfits partly because he genuinely believes they showcase his fashion genius and forward-thinking,” a source told Radar Online of Ye’s trademark mask and heavy layers despite the summer heat. “But it’s also to cover him having gained a little weight,” reports aceshowbiz.com.
The “Gold Digger” emcee’s fashion choice, however, came with a stinky consequence for his wife.
The insider went on to say: “It’s a serious stench when the layers come off and he’s dripping in sweat head to toe – especially as he’s not big on showering – and poor Bianca’s nostrils are on the receiving end.”
Another source echoed the sentiment, commenting on Ye who was recently photographed wearing a head wrap, a double layer of shirts, loose pants and tight Spandex wraps in Italy.
