This is the English-language debut and first film made outside of his native Mexico for director Isaac Ezban.
The idea of a "quantum mirror" was originally portrayed in multiple episodes of Stargate SG-1 (1997), though in that series, the mirror could be dialed into any one of near-infinite quantum realities, but easily returning to one's own was not a foregone conclusion. This film's actors Bill Dow (Reid), Carrie Genzel (Yvonne Lehmann), Michael Kopsa (Edward), Chad Krowchuk (Seth), Kevin McNulty (Dr. Harkin), and Eileen Pedde (Librarian) all made guest appearances in Stargate SG-1 (Dow played recurring character Dr. Bill Lee).
Mirror scenes have a different color palette.
Characters in the movie use a Windows 950XL smartphone.
