Sorry Marvel fans, but Scarlett Johansson has no desire to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The actor recently reaffirmed that her time playing Black Widow is over.
In an interview with InStyle, Johansson flat-out dismissed the mere suggestion of returning to the MCU as the late Natasha Romanoff, who sacrificed herself so Clint Barton/Hawkeye could receive the Soul Stone in 2019's Avengers: Endgame. "Natasha is dead. She is dead. She's dead. Okay?" the actor stated, seemingly directing that last part to the fandom itself. "They just don't want to believe it. They’re like, ‘But she could come back!’ Look, I think the balance of the entire universe is held in her hand. We’re going to have to let it go. She saved the world. Let her have her hero moment."

Scarlett Johansson is one of the rare Hollywood A-listers to not have a social media footprint on major platforms like X and Instagram, and it doesn’t seem like that’s about to change. Speaking to InStyle magazine for a new cover story, the Oscar nominee revealed that her “Jurassic World Rebirth” studio recently asked her about whether or not she would join Instagram to help promote the summer blockbuster. She’s just not interested.
“I mean, even today, I got an email from Universal [Pictures], and they’re like, ‘Hey, would you consider joining Instagram in tandem with the release of “Jurassic World: Rebirth?”‘ Johansson said. “I get a lot of pressure to join social media. [It does make me think]… is there a way where I could do this and stay true to who I am? It didn’t feel like I could.”
“The work that I put out there is all based in truth.

Courtney Love surprised attendees at the Royal Geographical Society in London by singing a cover of the Bob Dylan classic “Like a Rolling Stone.”
The Hole singer was at the venue on Tuesday (March 4th) to host a conversation with actor-writer Todd Almond to discuss his new book Slow Train Coming: Bob Dylan’s Girl From the North Country and Broadway’s Rebirth. Following the talk, the pair were joined by an acoustic guitarist as they got up to sing “Like a Rolling Stone,” with Love on lead vocals and Almond backing her up.
The performance came 59 years after Dylan sang the song at his famous 1966 concert at Royal Albert Hall, which is right next door to the Royal Geographical Society. It also came roughly a year after Love joined Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong for a few Cheap Trick and Tom Petty covers in London.

Scarlett Johansson's box office sci-fi smash, Lucy, has a new streaming home. The film can now be watched on Peacock.
Lucy was written and directed by Luc Besson (Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets) and produced by his wife, Virginie Besson-Silla. Scarlett Johansson stars as the titular character, an unwilling drug mule who finds herself dosed with an experimental drug that gives her seemingly unlimited access to her brain's full potential. The "Jurassic Park" franchise has been going strong for more than 30 years, spanning six movies and multiple animated shows to date, not to mention quite a few video games and other supplemental media, like real-world theme park attractions. The franchise is far from done too, as this summer will see the release of "Jurassic World Rebirth." Universal Pictures revealed in the first trailer for "Rebirth" that the film will feature multiple Spinosauruses, bringing back the fan-favorite dino for the first time in a long time.
Directed by Gareth Edwards, this latest installment centers on new characters and takes place on a new island, specifically the original "Jurassic Park" research facility. Because this is a new island, and not Isla Nublar where the actual theme park was, or Isla Sorna (aka Site B), where "The Lost World" and "Jurassic Park III" took place,...

Nintendo may be the most fascinating business to research in the video game industry. But it missed out on the first Final Fantasy game on the N64. The company has managed its history to run through a variety of ups and downs that no one ever anticipated, and they have had such a phenomenally successful run of things that continues to this day.

Nintendo has occasionally been so erratic that they have even caught prospective partners off guard, and Sony is no exception. There are also a few instances in Nintendo’s history where the company’s operations went horribly wrong. The possible collaboration between Sony and Nintendo on the Snes could be viewed along the same lines, albeit possibly on a scale that hasn’t been observed since.

Gareth Edwards is all set to helm a new film in the Jurassic World franchise with Rebirth and the first trailer of the film promises plenty of thrills and dinos both familiar and new. The film, while set in a different site from the ones in Jurassic World, still has the after-effects of the events in the trilogy, just like the Jurassic Park films.
When Steven Spielberg began the franchise with 1993’s Jurassic Park, a whole new generation was introduced to the extinct animals. The films have explored multiple themes of humanity’s quest for achieving the impossible and capitalizing. Apart from the visions of both Jurassic World and Jurassic Park being led by different filmmakers, there are some differences between the two trilogies.

Jurassic World Rebirth's trailer has once again primed audiences for yet another return to the Jurassic franchise that began with Steven Spielberg's 1993 classic Jurassic Park. With the subtitle "Rebirth," however, Universal Pictures has made the blatant suggestion that the next installment will be a fresh, new start for the franchise. While it seems clear that the original Jurassic Park is still in the DNA of this new entry in the series, little else is known about how the film will do things to differentiate it from the recent Jurassic World trilogy -- which ultimately proved to be critical disasters.

Fans have finally seen a trailer for the next Jurassic World movie, and it promises a new and exciting adventure to a familiar location. Jurassic World Rebirth promises action and adventure as a team of scientists, led by a covert operations expert (Scarlett Johansson), look to locate three of the most dangerous dinosaurs on the planet to extract their DNA for a life-saving drug.
It seems like the fourth film since the reboot, the seventh movie overall in the series, is finally having the humans seek out the danger rather than the typical formula of dinosaurs escaping from captivity. Though it wasn’t just the characters on screen who sought out the world of pre-history's biggest monsters, the star of the film herself, Johansson, has been seeking a way into the world for a long time.

A new era begins with Jurassic World Rebirth, the next installment of the hit Jurassic Park franchise. Set to hit theaters on July 2, the prehistoric action-adventure film follows Zora Bennett (Scarlett Johansson) and her team of covert agents, who are hired by a prominent pharmaceutical company for a dangerous mission. They embark on a perilous adventure to extract DNA samples from three of the world's largest dinosaurs, which could be used to generate breakthroughs in the medical industry. However, their mission takes them into uncharted territory, where they face off against packs of hungry dinosaurs that would sooner eat them than let them escape.
The first trailer reveals that Jurassic World Rebirth will feature new mutate dinosaurs, which were left behind at Jurassic Park's original research facility.

The Jurassic Park franchise is one of the greatest in Hollywood. With three decades of movies to its name, it has found a way to evolve, staged multiple comebacks and - with a new movie on the horizon - it just refuses to become extinct. Life has surely found a way to keep this billion-dollar phenomenon going.
That new chapter, Jurassic World Rebirth, looks to reinvent the saga again for a new audience. That might be easier said than done considering it just ended its most recent chapter less than three years ago but it will attempt to do so by taking the franchise back to its more gripping, thrilling, and perhaps even frightening roots. One of the ways it will attempt to do that is by including a deleted scene from the original Jurassic Park movie.
But an unused concept from Jurassic Park isn't the only thing coming back...

Dinosaur fans have something to look forward to this summer as Universal Pictures and director Gareth Edwards are bringing us "Jurassic World Rebirth." This is the seventh installment in the long-running series, dating back to Steven Spielberg's original blockbuster classic "Jurassic Park" in 1993. More than 30 years in, it's time for something different and Edwards is taking us to a new location that has never been explored on screen in any of the previous films. Get ready to go back to where it all began.
"This island was the research facility for the original Jurassic Park," Scarlett Johansson's Zora Bennett says in the first teaser trailer for "Jurassic World Rebirth." This is not Isla Nublar, where John Hammond placed his ill-fated dinosaur amusement park. Rather, this is an entirely new island where Hammond's team of geneticists conducted the original experiments that led to bringing dinosaurs back to life in the first place.

Nearly three years after the conclusion of Colin Trevorrow's "Jurassic World" trilogy, Universal Pictures is once again bringing audiences back to a dino-filled world. This time, it's "Godzilla" (2014) and "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" director Gareth Edwards at the helm on "Jurassic World Rebirth," which recently unveiled its first trailer. The film promises a new beginning for the franchise and, above all else, lots and lots of dinosaurs. These aren't the same old dinosaurs though. These ones are even more dangerous.
"These are the dinosaurs that didn't work. There's some mutations in there," as producer Frank Marshall told Vanity Fair in a preview piece for the film. "They're all based on real dinosaur research, but they look a little different."
Those who have watched the "Rebirth" trailer probably took note of a bizarre dinosaur that appears several times and looks quite unlike anything we've seen in these movies before.

Steven Spielberg's Jurassic Park has long been seen as one of the best science fiction movies ever made. However, director Gareth Edwards, who helms the franchise's seventh installment, Jurassic World Rebirth, recently shared why he considers the 1993 movie to also belong to the horror genre.
Speaking with Vanity Fair earlier this week ahead of the release of the first Jurassic World Rebirth trailer, Edwards opened up about the pressure he initially dealt with regarding living up the high bar that Spielberg set with the original Jurassic Park movie, which he believes is a horror movie disguised as family-friendly fare. "Jurassic Park is a horror film in the witness protection program," Edwards remarked. "Most people don’t think of it like that. We all went to see it as kids. Jurassic World Rebirth will unleash the dinosaurs that were too monstrous for the original Jurassic Park. Rebirth director Gareth Edwards and franchise producer Frank Marshall recently teased what fans can expect from the new dinosaurs introduced in the upcoming action-packed movie.
Speaking with Vanity Fair, Edwards revealed how the new terrifying mutated dinosaur, who can be briefly glimpsed in the official trailer for Jurassic World Rebirth, was designed, explaining that he drew upon classic movie monsters that have been scaring audiences for decades. "When you make a creature, you get a big, massive pot and you pour in your favorite monsters from other films and books," he explained, sharing that Alien's Xenomorph, Return of the Jedi's Rancor, and the T-Rex from the original Jurassic Park movie were all influences. "Some Rancor went in there, some H.R. Giger went in there, a little T. rex went in there…," Edwards added.

Universal Pictures has released the first trailer for Jurassic World Rebirth, marking the next chapter in the long-running franchise. Directed by Gareth Edwards and featuring a screenplay by Jurassic Park scribe David Koepp, the film is set to take audiences into uncharted territory when it arrives in cinemas across the UK and Ireland on 2nd July 2025.
The trailer teases a high-stakes action thriller where the remnants of Jurassic Park’s past collide with a desperate race for scientific discovery. Five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion, dinosaurs remain in isolated equatorial zones, their numbers dwindling due to inhospitable global conditions. At the centre of the story is an elite extraction team led by Zora Bennett, played by Scarlett Johansson, who is tasked with recovering genetic material from the three largest dinosaur species still in existence. Their DNA reportedly holds the key to revolutionary medical advancements—but recovering it will be anything but straightforward.

Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey are setting out to save the “Jurassic World” franchise.
Following the lackluster 2022 film “Jurassic World: Dominion,” “Jurassic World: Rebirth” is taking its title quite literally. The original “Jurassic Park” scribe David Koepp, who wrote Steven Spielberg’s 1993 classic, penned the script; “Rogue One” director Gareth Edwards is behind the camera.
The fourth “Jurassic World” film is set five years after the events of “Dominion,” with Johansson and Bailey’s respective characters tasked with securing DNA samples from three specific kinds of dinosaurs that span the air, land, and sea. Remember, after “Dominion,” the planet has become inhospitable to dinosaurs as a whole, with those that still exist have been isolated to environments that mimic the conditions in which they once thrived. Yet it turns out that the three biggest creatures in the tropical biosphere have materials for a drug that could save human lives. It...

It’s been less than three years since the release of Jurassic World Dominion, but you can’t keep a good (or even an increasingly not-great) franchise down. And the new trailer for Jurassic World Rebirth can at least promise us Scarlett Johansson as a badass covert operative and Jonathan Bailey as a glasses-wearing dinosaur expert.
The new film is set five years after Dominion, as a team hunting for genetic samples heads into one of the few tropical regions on Earth where dinosaurs still roam.
Jurassic World Rebirth is the seventh film in the Jurassic series, which began in 1993 with Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park. The most recent film, Dominion, seemed to wrap up a number of key character stories, which is why previous franchise cast members Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Chris Pratt don’t seem to be on the cast list for Rebirth.

A new Jurassic era has begun. Universal has released the first trailer for Jurassic World Rebirth, the upcoming seventh theatrical installment in the long-running dinosaur action franchise.
The trailer begins by introducing two of Rebirth's three leads: Scarlett Johansson's skilled covert operations expert, Zora Bennett, and Jonathan Bailey's paleontologist, Dr. Henry Loomis. Rupert Friend's Big Pharma rep Martin Krebs is assembling a team to embark on a mission to the island research facility of the original Jurassic Park, which has now become a home for the dinosaurs that were left to roam the Earth freely at the end of 2022's Jurassic World Dominion. Aided by a who's who ensemble that includes the movie's third lead, Oscar winner Mahershala Ali's Duncan Kincaid, Zora and Henry quickly discover that their mission won't be as easy as they originally thought, with the trailer promising plenty of action-packed and intense dinosaur moments.

It's been just two and a half years since "Jurassic World Dominion" brought the latest "Jurassic" trilogy to a close, but it's already time for a new era full of dinosaurs and humans trying to co-exist. Universal Pictures has now revealed the first trailer for this summer's "Jurassic World Rebirth." As the title implies, this is viewed as a fresh start for the franchise, complete with new human characters and a new director -- and yes, new dinosaurs. You can watch the trailer for yourself above.
The director in question is Gareth Edwards of "Godzilla" and "Rogue One" fame, who seems perfect for the "Jurassic" franchise. Noticeably absent are any familiar faces, including Chris Pratt's Owen Grady or Sam Neill's Alan Grant. Instead, Universal has lined up a new, all-star cast led by Scarlett Johansson ("Black Widow") as Zora Bennett. Even though there is a lot of new stuff on the table here,...

It probably goes without saying at this point, but considering just how many blockbusters we have coming out in July 2025 alone, we're going to say it anyway: Jurassic World Rebirth is one of the most anticipated movies of the year.
The seventh film in the Jurassic Park / World franchise, it seeks to reboot the billion-dollar phenomenon just three years after its previous installment, Jurassic World Dominion, wrapped up the arc 30 years (plus 65 million more) in the making. To do that, Universal has enlisted Godzilla director Gareth Edwards, Jurassic Park scribe David Koepp, and a star-studded cast featuring Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, Mahershala Ali, Dead Boy Detectives star David Iacono and more.
The film arrives this summer, where it will be joined in the month of July by James Gunn's Superman movie and Marvel Studios' The Fantastic Four: First Steps. While there will be no doubt many reasons to ensure...

Scarlett Johansson is no stranger to starring in blockbuster films, but even for a seasoned Marvel veteran, landing a role in Jurassic World Rebirth was a childhood dream come true. Speaking to Vanity Fair for an extended preview of the newest dinosaur movie, Johansson opened up about her deep-rooted love for Jurassic Park—and how she managed to keep it under wraps when meeting with Steven Spielberg to discuss the latest installment in the iconic franchise. Johansson, who stars as covert operations expert Zora Bennett in Rebirth, confessed that she’s been a die-hard fan of the original 1993 film since childhood.

Jurassic World Rebirth is promising to take the franchise full circle and it's actually taking us back to the past—literally. In an exciting revelation, it’s been confirmed that a long-lost scene from Michael Crichton’s original Jurassic Park novel, which was never included in the 1993 film, will finally roar to life in Rebirth, and it's one of the most terrifying moments in the book that should be spine-tingling if we get to see it on screen, as per Vanity Fair. The scene in question? A heart-pounding sequence from Crichton’s book where Dr. Alan Grant and the two kids attempt to quietly drift across a lagoon in a rubber raft, hoping not to wake a slumbering T. rex lurking nearby. Spoiler alert: they don’t succeed.

Today is officially a big news day for the most annoying person you know. While most other blockbusters tend to take over the spotlight, from galaxies far away to godlike superheroes and everything in between, let us never forget that there exists a passionate and extremely nerdy fanbase obsessed with the coolest movie monsters of them all: dinosaurs. The recently-completed "Jurassic World" trilogy may have put a slight damper on things for us -- in case you have chosen to forget, the critically-derided "Dominion" decided to spend an unseemly amount of its runtime on a plague of giant locusts, for some reason -- but we're back and ready for more kaiju-sized punishment. The franchise shows no signs of slowing down, and for once that doesn't sound like a threat.

32 years after Steven Spielberg changed blockbuster filmmaking forever with "Jurassic Park," the franchise is getting a major face lift with this summer's "Jurassic World Rebirth." Directed by Gareth Edwards of "Rogue One" and "The Creator" fame, the film is being billed as a new beginning for the dino-centric property. But it will also, in some ways, be going back to where it all started. That's because screenwriter David Koepp (who also wrote Spielberg's classic movie) is finally making use of a beloved scene from Michael Crichton's original "Jurassic Park" novel.
In a first-look piece published by Vanity Fair, producer Frank Marshall confirmed that the book's famous river raft scene involving the Tyrannosaurus Rex, which was cut from the original "Jurassic Park," will make it to the screen in "Rebirth." In Crichton's novel, Alan Grant and John Hammond's grandchildren, Tim and Lex Murphy, try to drift through a...

Avatar Korra faced countless terrifying threats during her time in The Legend of Korra, many of them wielding bizarre or even brand-new powers and abilities to threaten Team Avatar. That included anti-bending radicals with advanced technology, an Airbender with a historic ability, terrorists who can destroy the terran itself, and metalbenders who have honed their fighting style to perfection.
Avatar Korra overcame all of these threats with either her powers in the Avatar State or the aid of her friends, but it was never easy, nor should it be. "Whose Story Is This Now?": 'Jurassic World: Rebirth' Writer Says the Sequel Won't Ignore Past Films
We're now only a few months away from the release of Jurassic World: Rebirth, which will see Jurassic Park veteran David Koepp return to the franchise as a scribe for the first time since The Lost World: Jurassic Park in 1997. The next installment in the Jurassic World franchise will hit theaters on July 2, and it has already been dubbed one of the most anticipated movies of the year, and also a movie with tremendous box office potential. The news that Koepp was returning to Jurassic World early in 2024 was met with major excitement from movie fans and hope that the franchise would go back to its roots that made it so popular in the first place. During a recent interview with SlashFilm, Koepp teased how Rebirth will take the franchise in a new direction while also not retconning any events from past movies:...

The Jurassic Park franchise is in capable hands with Gareth Edwards helming the new sequel. Screenwriter David Koepp also confirmed Jurassic World Rebirth is a fresh start for the series, just like the first installments of the previous trilogies.
Writer David Koepp confirmed Jurassic World Rebirth is a return to form for the franchise. The six films so far released kept the continuity, and Jurassic World Dominion could have been a satisfying end to the series. Still, fans were excited with the news that Koepp (who wrote the screenplays for Jurassic Park and The Lost World) was developing a soft reboot, and early images hint the sequel is going back to basics. Speaking with /Film, Koepp revealed his approach to Rebirth, which features a brand-new ensemble with none of the legacy characters. That doesn't mean the story is disconnected from previous installments.

2025's Jurassic World: Rebirth will include material from a deleted scene in the original Jurassic Park movie.
This year will bring the Jurassic Park franchise back into the spotlight for a seventh time, marking the first movie since the critically-maligned Jurassic World Dominion in 2022. While fans still have plenty of questions about what will happen, Universal hopes it will mark another summer hit for the long-running franchise.
MCU veteran Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey (known for his recent role as Fiyero in Wicked) are set to team up for this film, following the efforts of Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard. Additionally, Rebirth is now confirmed to dig deep into the series' history books for part of the story.

Later this year, Amblin Entertainment and Universal Pictures are reviving their long-running Jurassic franchise for yet another walk in the park. Or in the world at large, I suppose, considering that the last entry, Jurassic World Dominion, saw dinosaurs get out and repopulate planet Earth. Kind of. Because after they repopulated, people just stuck most of them in a nature preserve so that the movie could remind people of other entries in the franchise.

We've previously heard about three brand-new dinosaurs that are reportedly set to appear in Jurassic World Rebirth - Mosasaurus, Titanosaurus and Quetzalcoatlus - and one of them has now been confirmed along with two other beasts via some leaked promo art.
Based on this toy artwork, Titanosaurus will debut in the movie, along with Maiasaura and a new take on the Spinosaurus.
A Spinosaurus previously appeared in Jurassic Park III, but this version is believed to look a lot more like the actual dinosaur that existed back in the Cretaceous period.
We're still waiting on a first trailer for Rebirth, but some supposed plot leaks have been doing the rounds online. None of them sound particularly convincing, but Fangoria has shared an interesting report about the movie's rating.

Apparently, the next Jw movie will be PG-13, but is expected to push the "brutal violence" to levels we haven't seen in any of the previous films.

The fact that Henry Cavill read one particular DC comic to prep for Justice League 8 years ago makes the culmination of his Dceu story so much sadder. Henry Cavill's depiction of the Man of Steel was among the most celebrated aspects of the Dceu, often becoming the saving grace of the movies in which he appeared. His debut in Man of Steel was met with middling reviews (though sentiments have improved with hindsight), which worsened for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and 2017's Justice League.
The unfortunate trajectory of the Dceu would ultimately lead to the announcement of a total reboot, the Dcu, which is already underway with the release of Creature Commandos in December. The reboot announcement was soon followed by the poorly-received confirmation that Henry Cavill's Superman would be replaced with a fresher-faced model, just weeks after Cavill had confirmed his return. Looking back at Cavill's tenure...

Warning: Spoilers for Absolute Batman #4Things are heating up as Absolute Batman's first arc barrels towards an epic conclusion. Since DC All In began in earnest, fans everywhere have been enamored with the series and its more raw, brutal, and oversized version of the Caped Crusader.
After Darkseid's physical body was destroyed, his residual energy created the Absolute Universe, a world built on strife and turmoil. In this alternate universe, Batman lacks the Wayne Family fortune and is fighting a war with whatever innovative weapons he can cobble together. As Absolute Batman's first story arc reaches a turning point, Screen Rant sits down with series' writer Scott Snyder to look back on Bruce's past and what's coming next.
Screen Rant: Scott, it’s been about three months since DC All In/the Absolute line began. What has it been like seeing the reception among fans?
Scott Snyder: It's been overwhelming,...
