A woman who alleges Sean “Diddy” Combs dangled her over the 17th floor balcony of Casandra “Cassie” Ventura’s high-rise apartment took the witness stand Wednesday and told jurors Combs also threatened her once on a beach, proclaiming, “I’m the devil, and I could kill you.”

In chilling testimony, Bryana “Bana” Bongolan recalled the night in September 2016 when Combs allegedly cornered her on Ventura’s balcony in Los Angeles, lifted her up, and “held” her over the edge as she feared for her life.

The rapper — whose real name is Scott Mescudi — dated Cassie Ventura in 2010 during one of the breaks in her 11-year relationship with Combs.

Mescudi revealed today that she opened up to him about the abuse she endured at Combs’ hands.

Mescudi told the court that he and Ventura met around Thanksgiving of 2010. They began dating in 2011, and he says that at the time, he understood “that she and Sean Combs had some problems and they weren’t dating anymore (per CNN).

However, it seems that Cassie and Diddy’s relationship had not ended with a clean break.

Week two of Sean “Diddy” Combs‘ headline-grabbing trial has been nothing short of explosive. The courtroom drama continued to unfold on Monday, May 19, as three new witnesses took the stand, including David James, who served as Combs’ personal assistant from 2007 to 2009.

The third day of the Sean “Diddy” Combs sex trafficking trial got underway in a Manhattan courtroom this morning.

And once again, Cassie Ventura has taken the stand to share accounts of the abuse she endured during her ten-year relationship with the defendant.

Before she was able to begin her second day of testimony, however, the prosecution clashed with the defense over how much information should be shared between the two sides ahead of cross-examination.

Old photos of Cassie and Sean “Diddy” Combs are gaining attention again after being mentioned during Day 3 of the 55-year-old music mogul’s ongoing sex trafficking trial.

During her testimony, the 38-year-old “Me & U” singer alleged that following the 2016 hotel attack featured in surveillance footage that leaked in 2024, she had to attend the premiere of her movie The Perfect Match with bruises on her face and body.

The court was also shown a photo of the two smiling at the premiere. She said she had to change her outfit to cover up bruises on her legs and needed to apply a lot of makeup to cover her black eye and fat lip, per NBC News.

According to the initial report, Chuck Hayward is set to pen the screenplay. Hayward previously wrote Netflix's Step Sisters, in addition to serving as a producer on Mixed-Ish. Treehouse President Justin Nappi is set to produce the movie alongside Oren Segal and Juliet Berman. Michael Phillips, Juliana Maio and Tova Laiter will serve as executive producers. Nappi had this to say about it in a statement.

Exclusive: Treehouse Pictures has set in motion what it’s describing as a diverse remake of 1991 coming-of-age comedy, Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead, which is being written by Chuck Hayward with Bille Woodruff attached to direct. Hayward’s take is a present-day retelling centered on a black family.

Treehouse’s Justin Nappi and Juliet Berman are producing along with Oren Segal. Executive producers are Michael Phillips — also an Ep on the original — Juliana Maio and Tova Laiter.

The 1991 film, which was directed by Stephen Herek, starred Christina Applegate, Joanna Cassidy and Josh Charles. It follows Sue Ellen Crandell, a teenager who is forced to take charge of her four younger siblings when their mom leaves town and the wicked babysitter her mother hired suddenly dies. Despite the fact that the film wasn’t a huge success critically or commercially, it amassed a significant cult following.

Exclusive: MGM’s superhero thriller movie Samaritan has set its cast as production ramps up next week with Euphoria actor and Junior Olympic boxing prodigy Javon ‘Wanna’ Walton landing the lead role opposite Sylvester Stallone. Walton will play a young boy who is out to discover if a mythic superhero, who vanished 20 years earlier following a tragic event, is still alive.

Overlord helmer Julius Avery is directing from a screenplay by Bragi F. Schut (Escape Room), with additional writing by Mark L. Netflix's latest buzzy show is Russian Doll, a dark comedy following Nadia, a woman stuck in a twisty Groundhog Day loop: she keeps reliving her 36th birthday party - and dying at the end of every loop. Star and creator Natasha Lyonne is a familiar face to Netflix viewers for her longtime role on Orange Is the New Black, and she's brought along a few other Oitnb alumni to join her on her own series. Among the familiar faces is "Beatrice," the girlfriend of Nadia's fellow time-loop victim Alan.

Beatrice is played by Dascha Polanco, who will most definitely be recognizable to fans of Orange Is the New Black. Since the flagship Netflix original comedy began in 2013, she has played inmate Daya Diaz. During the first two seasons, Polanco was a recurring character, but she was promoted to a series regular for the third season in 2015; she has kept this status ever since.

UTA has signed Queen Latifah and her production company Flavor Unit Entertainment. The Oscar-nominated and Emmy-winning actor-musician-producer is coming off Universal’s big hit comedy Girls Trip, which made more than $140 million worldwide; the cast has a deal to return for a sequel but no greenlight yet from the studio.

Flavor Unit, founded by Latifah and business partner Shakim Compere, has produced award-winning films including Beauty Shop, The Perfect Holiday, Just Wright and Bessie, as well as HBO’s Life Support. Lille, France — The Torino Film Lab and Series Mania have announced this year’s nine participating projects in the SeriesLab forum. SeriesLab is a joint venture intended to address one of the most significant challenges facing the European fiction TV industry: Developing screenwriting talent.

The event is held as a forum to mentor creative talent by gathering writers, creators and showrunners from nine series in early-stage development. The projects participate in a five-month course with three residential workshops and two online sessions, all culminating in a final presentation at the Series Mania Co-Production Forum on May 3.

SeriesLab project manager Angelica Cantisani credits the success of last year’s inaugural forum with producing an even stronger crop of projects this year. “We had the advantage of a really successful first edition that spread the word,” she says.

Film, TV and video director Bille Woodruff has signed a two-year overall deal with 20th Century Fox Television.

Known for his distinct visual style and dynamic storytelling, Woodruff began his relationship with the studio directing multiple episodes of Empire and Star, which led to the deal.

“Bille is a fantastic director who has done spectacular work on episodes of both Empire and Star for us, and this deal is about continuing that relationship on an exclusive basis,” said Jonnie Davis, President of Creative Affairs at Tcftv. “We’ll continue to assign him episodes of our current series and potentially have him direct and produce series and pilots down the road.”

Woodruff’s other TV credits include the CW’s Black Lightning, Freeform’s Shadowhunters, TNT’s Claws, Bet’s The Game and VH1’s Hit The Floor.

On the feature side, Woodruff made his directorial debut with Universal’s Honey.
