One of the best Bangladeshi movie in recent times

The main story starts with a boy name Jamal. At his early age, he lost his childhood friend Lokkhi because of child marriage. This event changed Jamal's life. He started to thinks about lots of things. Then he is trying to create his own identity. He plans to study again and wants to go school. But a bittersweet past of his mom turns everything into a mess. And things get complicated afterward. Watch the movie to know what happens next. Many many thanks to Arifur and Bijon bhai for making an epic movie like this. And one more thing I don't know who was the cinematographer and film score composer but both are completely out of the world. Just a treat to watch and hear. I'm waiting for you guys next work.

An excellent piece of work

The film shows the hard reality of life through the eyes of an eleven years old boy named jamal. After the sudden marriage of Jamal's childhood friend lakshmi, he began to realize the difficult side of life. When he wants to build his own future, an unpublished past comes out and turns everything upside down.

This film portrays the issues like child marriage, dowry, class discrimination and social evil practices.

I really like the cinematography and the experimental color composition. The natural beauty of rural bangla is successfully portrayed in this film. And not to mention the background music, I was completely lost in scene of jamal and lakshmi running in the field.

Truly, a masterpiece of Bangladeshi film

I'm very impressed for cinematography, colour grading & background score of this film. & how director made it happen like this 👀

Story is the main part of this film. "Jamal", the main character of this film. Story telling was very deeply by director Bijon. Audience will catch the meaning of this film after the Interval. 💪

I think this is the most underrated film of Bangladesh.

Absolute Masterpiece. It's on the league of Pather Panchali, Children of Heaven and The Clay Bird.

Bangladesh finally proves that the versatile and cinematic geniuses they have are absolutely phenomenal. Bijon, the director of this masterpiece, portrayed the beautiful side of the local rural life and the haunting version of it at the same time. The beauty of Islam and the illiterate manipulative people who misuse Islam(or any religion) and lives on it, both sides have been shown very hauntingly.

Very ambitious attempt from Bangladesh despite the budget issue and it's successful both critically and generally. For the very little number of theatres across the country and lack of promotion, this movie couldn't acquire the hype it deserved. Very well-decorated cinematography, mesmerising camera work, astonishing sequences and near-perfect screenplay possible in this medium. We want more feature films from this team. Kudos!
