Just months after “Young Sheldon” aired its series finale, favorites Georgie and Mandy are back for yet another spinoff.
Titled “Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage,” the new CBS sitcom will see Montana Jordan and Emily Osment reprise their “Young Sheldon” roles as Georgie and Mandy, respectively, as the young couple navigates marriage and parenting.
This time, Georgie and Mandy have packed their bags and headed to live with Mandy’s parents, played by Will Sasso and Rachel Bay Jones, who have both appeared in “Young Sheldon.” They will also be joined by some newcomers to the “Big Bang Theory” universe.
For the full breakdown on which “Young Sheldon” characters will be returning — and where you’ve seen them before — keep on reading.

The second major spin-off of "The Big Bang Theory" — which itself is a spin-off of the spin-off "Young Sheldon" — gives away the game right there in the title. "Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage" gives Georgie Cooper (Montana Jordan) and his wife Mandy McAllister (Emily Osment), who got married in season 7 of "Young Sheldon," the spotlight as they try to navigate a life together as young parents. The thing is because Chuck Lorre keeps expanding the Sheldon Cooper Cinematic Universe (the Sccu?) even though Sheldon Cooper's future is firmly established thanks to The Big Bang Theory — where Jim Parsons plays Sheldon — we already know that Georgie gets married and divorced twice, hence the words "first marriage" in that title.

With the expanding The Big Bang Theory franchise, there are questions about how old George is in Young Sheldon and how that works for the sequel series. Young Sheldon is set in the 1980s, making it sometimes difficult to determine the ages of the characters. With many of the key characters in the show having already appeared as older versions in The Big Bang Theory, it added to the confusion, which will get even worse with the new upcoming series Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage.
As a child, Sheldon is surrounded by his family, neighbors, and friends, whose actors also needed to be able to demonstrate their character's frustrations with the child prodigy, while still showing him adequate affection. Some of these characters have made an appearance on Tbbt, such as Mary, Missy, and George Jr., so it's intriguing to see the lives they led that shaped them. Young Sheldon...

Phoebe Dynevor, Bridgerton‘s Daphne Basset, has signed on to star in Famous, described as a thriller about the dark side of celebrity. Dynevor has been cast alongside Zac Efron, who was already confirmed to play the lead role in the drama directed by Jody Hill.
“In Famous, Zac Efron (The Iron Claw) will star in dual roles, playing both overzealous fan, Lance Dunkquist, and Hollywood heartthrob, James Jansen,” reads Black Bear and Esmail Corp’s synopsis. “Lance Dunkquist has one asset that’s about to change his life – he has the face of a movie star. And not just any movie star – Lance is the spitting image of a Hollywood icon, James Jansen. Lance is about to travel to Los Angeles to make his dream come true. Zac Efron is set to star alongside himself in A24's Famous, a Jody Hill-directed psychological thriller where he'll take on dual roles. The film marks Efron's second collaboration with A24, following last year's critically praised The Iron Claw. As per a report by Deadline, the project will be based on Blake Crouch's best-selling novel of the same name, and follows two men, Lance Dunkquist and James Jansen, who share a striking resemblance. The film's ominous synopsis reads:
"Lance Dunkquist has the face of a movie star. Not just any movie star - Lance has been mistaken for Hollywood star James Jansen 228 times. And now Lance is about to go to LA to make his dream come true. No matter what it takes."
Efron is the only confirmed star currently attached to the project. Hill, the co-creator, director, and executive producer of the hysterical HBO series Eastbound & Down,...

A24 loved Zac Efron’s work in “The Iron Claw” so much, it’s tapping him to play not one but two roles in another upcoming thriller.
A24 has pre-bought the domestic distribution rights to “Famous,” a thriller that will star Efron in a dual role and will be directed by Jody Hill (“Eastbound and Down”), an individual with knowledge of the project told IndieWire.
“Famous” is also being produced by “Mr. Robot” creator Sam Esmail alongside Michael Sagol, and Chad Hamilton producing.

You can't keep a good Cooper down. Young Sheldon may have seen its final episode, but that doesn't mean audiences are done enjoying every bit of the family that bore a "bazinga" loving Sheldon.
This time, however, the focus is on the eldest son as he navigates the adult world while starting a family with his wife, who is twelve years older than the tire entrepreneur in the new show Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage.
Obviously, as a spinoff of a spinoff, there are bound to be some familiar faces returning from either of its sister series, but for now, CBS is keeping the cast and characters close to its chest with a core four.
As it stands, it seems like the series will be all about the McAllisters, with Mandy's parents in tow to help out with her small, budding family.
Either way, we have everything you need to know...

Georgie & Mandys First Marriage executive producer Steve Holland opened up about the creative teams decision to develop a Young Sheldon spinoff centered around Montana Jordan and Emily Osments titular characters. The new series will be a part of CBS 2024-2025 Primetime Schedule.
Speaking with Deadline, Holland confirmed that the idea behind Georgie & Mandys First Marriage series came after they were very impressed with the onscreen chemistry between Jordan and Osment. He revealed that shifting the franchises focus to the young couple gave them the freedom to create new stories within the Young Sheldon universe, since unlike the original sitcom, fans dont know what happened between Georgie and Mandy after Sheldon moves to California to attend college at Caltech. "For us, I think it was really watching Emily and Montana on screen together, and they just had such a great chemistry, and they were so much fun to watch, and it...

Seemingly freed from the Marvel machine, Ryan Coogler is set to reunite with Michael B. Jordan on a new project, recently picked up by Warner Bros. THR reports the period thriller will feature the undead, and potentially take place in Jim Crow-era South. While other details are under wraps, there are reports it will feature anime influences and has franchise potential. Production will kick off this April in New Orleans, so expect to learn much more soon.

Michael B Jordan
The actor is in serious awards contention for his role in “Black Panther,” but also most recently starred in “Creed II,” “Fahrenheit 451” and “Kin.”
Josh Brolin
We all know Josh Brolin played the villain in both “Deadpool 2” And “Avengers: Infinity War” (which is a feat in itself), but he also starred in “Sicario 2: Day of the Soldado” and “The Legacy of a Whitetail Deer Hunter.”
Tessa Thompson
Thompson seems to have been in every movie this year, and that’s for good reason: She starred in “Annihilation” alongside Natalie Portman, as well as “Sorry to Bother You,” “Little Woods,” “Furlough” and “Creed II.”
Patrick Wilson
Wilson is now just making the rounds as King Orm in James Wan’s “Aquaman,” but the actor also starred in “Insidious: The Last Key,” “”The Commuter,” “The Nun,” “Nightmare Cinema” and he is currently filming the Untitled “Annabelle” film.

Netflix prequel series Narcos: Mexico Season 2 is now confirmed, continuing the 1980s-set exploits of the cartel drama.
Netflix doesn't plan to kick its Narcos habit anytime soon. A quick renewal was given in early December to the recent prequel iteration, making Narcos: Mexico Season 2 official.
Mind you, the billing identifies the new frame as “Season 2,” even though the November-premiered Mexico season was, technically, Season 4 of the main Narcos series, which makes this new one Season 5.

It didn’t take long after “Vice Principals,” but Danny McBride is heading back to HBO. And he’s brought some new family members with him.
HBO announced Tuesday that they have given a full series order to the half-hour comedy “The Righteous Gemstones,” starring McBride, John Goodman, Adam Devine, and Edi Patterson. The quartet will star as the Gemstones, a televangelist family that sounds about as scrupulous and disciplined as the Roys from “Succession.” In addition to creating the series, McBride will also be a writer and director on the show.
The show sees McBride reteam with longtime collaborators Jody Hill and David Gordon Green. Hill directed McBride as co-creator of the series “Eastbound & Down” and most recently in “The Legacy of a Whitetail Deer Hunter.” Green, who worked on “Eastbound & Down” and has the upcoming installment of “Halloween,” also directed eight of the nine episodes of...

Over the course of two films and two successful HBO series, filmmaker Jody Hill has carved out a career as a provocateur centered on toxic narcissists, unchecked male ego and huge, mean-spirited jackasses. His work tends to draw admiration and ire in equal measure, as the lead characters of his stories are always aggressively unlikeable, pushing the boundary of just how much an audience can empathize with contemptible blowhards.

Jody Hill is trying to warm some hearts with his latest comedy, The Legacy of a Whitetail Deer Hunter. Jody Hill on ‘Legacy of a Whitetail Deer Hunter’, Josh Brolin, and Looking Back on ‘Vice Principals’
It’s been almost a decade since filmmaker Jody Hill released a new film, but the guy has certainly been busy. After the success of 2009’s Observe & Report, Hill teamed up with Danny McBride to create the delightfully profane HBO comedy Eastbound & Down, and when that show ended in 2013, Hill and McBride teamed up to craft yet another HBO series in Vice Principals. But after shooting two seasons of Vice Principals back-to-back, Hill finally got behind the camera on a new feature film called The Legacy of a Whitetail Deer Hunter, which is available …...

Certain Women (Kelly Reichardt)
The cinema of Kelly Reichardt lives in quiet, tender observations with deeply rooted characters and location. Even when adding a thriller element as with her last feature, the overlooked Night Moves, her style is never compromised. A subdued, sincerely felt character study sees the Oscar nominee play a father struggling to keep it together during a bonding trip with his son
Testosterone’s a hell of a drug. It pumps through the filmography of Jody Hill, turning insecure men mad as they scramble to reaffirm their masculinity in a world that reveals how absurd their machismo really is. The director’s lifelong muse Danny McBride married a headstrong bluster with a gelatinous inner core as a martial arts instructor (the 2004 feature The Foot Fist Way), a has-been of major league baseball (TV’s Eastbound and Down), and a high school faculty member (their follow-up series Vice Principals). McBride takes a supporting role in The Legacy of a Whitetail Deer Hunter, ceding the tempest-in-a-manly-teapot role to Josh Brolin for Hill’s latest big-screen outing, but the psychological profile is unchanged. Danny McBride and John Goodman are returning to HBO for The Righteous Gemstones pilot.
The televangelist family comedy created by the Eastbound & Down star finds McBride and the Treme vet teaming up to play the offspring heir apparent to Goodman’s world famous and acerbic preaching patriarch. As the McBride portrayed Jesse Gemstone arrogantly attempts to expand and modernize the global TV ministry that his Goodman played father Eli created “a long tradition of deviance, greed, and charitable work, all in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ” comes into focus as the Gemstone legacy.
Long time McBride collaborator Jody Hill will serve as an Ep as will David Gordon Green on the long percolating project. McBride will also direct the pilot HBO has just given the green light to. Netflix has released the first trailer for a new comedy called The Legacy of a Whitetail Deer Hunter which stars Josh Brolin and Danny McBride. Seeing this trailer pop up was a pleasant surprise because the movie wasn't on my radar and it looks like it could be fun.
Brolin has had a great year of movies with films like Avengers: Infinity War, Deadpool 2, and the upcoming Sicario: Day of the Soldado. Now there's this and it seems like the kind of film that Brolin would enjoy being a part of. The movie comes from director Jody Hill and this is the synopsis:
Buck Ferguson (Josh Brolin), famous for hunting whitetail deer, plans a special episode of his hunting show around a bonding weekend with his estranged son, Jaden (Montana Jordan). With trusted – but hapless – cameraman and friend Don (Danny McBride) in tow, Buck sets out for what soon...

"Why aren't you recording this, Don? This is part of the narrative." Netflix has debuted a full-length trailer for indie comedy The Legacy of a Whitetail Deer Hunter, the latest film from filmmaker Jody Hill in collaboration with his friend Danny McBride. The descriptions for this only say that it's about a great hunter named Buck Ferguson who takes his trusted cameraman Don on an epic weekend adventure to reconnect with his young son. "Buck sets out for what soon becomes an unexpectedly epic adventure of father-son reconnection in the great outdoors" Josh Brolin stars with Danny McBride (who co-wrote the script) and Montana Jordan. This looks like a nice bit of comedy and satire, making fun of all the serious father-son hunting trips. It's perfect for Netflix. Here's the full official trailer for Jody Hill's The Legacy of a Whitetail Deer Hunter, from YouTube: The great hunter Buck...

It’s not only tentpole sequels like Avengers: Infinity War, Deadpool 2, and Sicario: Day of the Soldado that Josh Brolin can be seen this summer. In addition to his three theatrical outings, Brolin will round off the summer with his Netflix comedy The Legacy of a Whitetail Deer Hunter. After opening to unenthusiastic reviews at the South by Southwest Film Festival (including our own), Netflix has now released the trailer for the film.
The story centers on Brolin’ Buck Ferguson, a deer-hunting TV personality. After Ferguson reconnects with his distant son Jaden (played by Young Sheldon’s Montana Jordan), he plans to shoot a special episode of his show that covers his son’s inaugural whitetail deer hunt. Along with their happy-go-lucky cameraman Don (played by Danny McBride), Ferguson and his son embark on an adventure that explores the forgotten importance of their father-son relationship.

Netflix has released the first trailer for The Legacy of a Whitetail Deer Hunter. The movie features Josh Brolin in the lead and serves as another brick in the wall for the actor who is having a banner year. Not only did the Oscar-nominee star as Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War and Cable in Deadpool 2, both of which are among the biggest movies of the year (the former of which is now one of the biggest movies of all time), but he's also back in Sicario: Day of the Soldado this weekend, which has been getting very positive buzz. This time, he's taking a break from the seriousness to star in a little father/son comedy for Netflix.
The trailer plays on the idea of a father being disconnected from his modern son, who enjoys the comfort of wifi and a Marriott hotel, as opposed to camping and learning to hunt.

“Vice Principals” and “Eastbound & Down” co-creator Jody Hill is back with his first film in almost a decade. Like all his major projects to date, “The Legacy of a Whitetail Deer Hunter” is a comedy with Danny McBride in a plum role. Hill and McBride penned the Netflix script with John Carcieri, a producer on their past HBO series.
Leading the cast is John Brolin as Buck Ferguson, a hunter who fronts “Buck Fever” wildlife documentary specials. He brings his cameraman (McBride) and pre-teen son (Montana Jordan of “Young Sheldon”) on a rugged trek, but the latter misses the modern comforts of 21st century life. In his boredom, the boy reveals that his mother (Carrie Coon) — whom Buck misses two years post-divorce — is about to become engaged (Scoot McNairy of “Halt and Catch Fire” plays her boyfriend).

At this point, you probably know whether or not you’re a fan of filmmaker Jody Hill’s unique brand of humor. As seen in his previous projects like “Eastbound & Down,” “Observe and Report,” “The Foot Fist Way,” and most recently, “Vice Principals,” Hill has a comedic voice all his own. And in the new trailer for the Netflix film, “The Legacy of a Whitetail Deer Hunter,” he brings that viewpoint to the world of father and son hunting trips.

We at Collider are happy to exclusively debut the first trailer for filmmaker Jody Hill’s (Observe and Report) new film The Legacy of a Whitetail Deer Hunter. But as mishaps and hard truths ensue, the film morphs into a heartfelt father-son story while maintaining the particular sense of humor that’s made Hill’s previous work so successful. Hill …...

The cast of Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood keeps growing, with Scoot McNairy, coming aboard for a supporting role. The actor will portray a character known as Business Bob Gilbert, a cowboy who plays a role on a popular Western TV series. Leonardo DiCaprio's main character Rick Dalton is said to be the lead character of a former hit Western series, so it's possible that Gilbert is one of Dalton's co-stars, but that has yet to be confirmed.
The story centers around DiCaprio's Rick Dalton and Brad Pitt's Cliff Booth, Dalton's longtime stunt double on the Western TV series. Both men find themselves struggling to find a place in a new Hollywood that embraces the counter-culture values of the 1960s, that they don't recognize one bit. Their plot thickens when Dalton gets a new next door neighbor, an up and coming young actress named Sharon Tate,...

After finishing up HBO’s cult hit Vice Principals last year, Jody Hill returns to the big screen (or, rather, small, as it’s headed to Netflix) with The Legacy of a Whitetail Deer Hunter, a funny, if not often tired retread of cliches. A familiar fish-out-of-water comedy, the film stars Josh Brolin as the titular whitetail deer hunter named Buck Ferguson, and his videographer Don (Danny McBride). Through their shared company, Bfk productions, they produce the kind of low-rent hunting videos you’d find in a sporting good store next to the rifles.
Brolin’s character isn’t just passionate about hunting, but obsessed with violence itself, a character choice that may churn some stomachs in the wake of March for Our Lives. In line with Hill’s career, the film parodies the masculinity at the core of hunting culture, but it falters in not addressing the politics. The movie ultimately lacks ambition,...

Jody Hill and Danny McBride’s creative fusion has a brazenly hysterical yet sincere way of showing the underbelly of men; characters who aspire to greatness, but through their flaws, fall short as divorced fathers or misfits, from the Sundance hit that made the duo, The Foot Fist Way, to their latest HBO comedy series, Vice Principals.
