Netflix revealed the official That Christmas trailer, which comes from Locksmith Animation (Ron’s Gone Wrong) and director Simon Otto (How to Train Your Dragon trilogy). Debuting on December 4, the film has been rated PG for thematic elements, some language, and rude humor.
That Christmas is an adaptation of the beloved children’s book series written by acclaimed BAFTA Award-winning and Academy Award-nominated writer and director Richard Curtis.
That Christmas follows a series of entwined tales about family and friends, love and loneliness, and Santa Claus making a big mistake, not to mention an enormous number of turkeys! A film of firsts, it marks Curtis’s first animation project and the directorial debut of animation veteran Otto.
The film stars Brian Cox as Santa, Fiona Shaw (Ms. Trapper), Jodie Whittaker (Mrs. Williams), and Bill Nighy (Bill) as the residents of a charming seaside town where things turn upside down one Christmas.

HBO has opened a casting call for the three stars of its upcoming “Harry Potter” TV series. Fans spotted the announcement circulating online Monday, and HBO confirmed its authenticity to Variety.
The casting call is looking for children who will be between the ages of 9-11 in April 2025 and who are residents of the U.K. and Ireland. The notice also says that casting will be inclusive to all races, ethnicities and gender identities.
“We are committed to inclusive, diverse casting,” it reads. “For every role, please submit qualified performers, without regard to ethnicity, sex, disability, race, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other basis protected by law unless otherwise specifically indicated.”
The application requires the actors to submit two short self-tapes, including a short poem or story — but nothing from “Harry Potter.”
“Please prepare a short poem or story of your choosing.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets sets up important storylines, including the introduction of Azkaban and the concept of horcruxes. The film foreshadows future events, such as Ron's broken wand hinting at Peter Pettigrew's return and Lucius Malfoy's involvement with Voldemort. The movie hints at future relationships, such as the development of Harry and Ginny's romance, and shows the easily manipulated nature of Cornelius Fudge.
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is the second installment in the Harry Potter franchise, and it features many scenes that become important later in the series. The sequel is just as magical as the first, and it follows Harry Potter and his friends in their second year at Hogwarts. However, just like his first year, trouble follows Harry at every corner, starting with the beginning, where the house elf Dobby tries to stop Harry from returning to Hogwarts, knowing there are many dangers to come,...

Dumbledore's secrecy and failure to reveal the truth to Harry about dangerous aspects of his life is both perplexing and hilarious. Ron's infatuation with Fleur Delacour makes for an amusing Yule Ball scenario, with jealous Parvati Patil looking on. The dramatic and inexplicable change in hairstyles for Harry and Ron in The Goblet of Fire is a memorable and unnecessary choice in the movie.
The fourth Harry Potter movie brought the franchise in some exciting new directions and the many Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire highlight the fans' enthusiasm for the sequel. As the series grew more serious and saw the threats increasing, Goblet of Fire was the darkest and most epic entry in the franchise up to that point with new character introductions, a tragic death, and the long-awaited arrival of Voldemort in his true form. With so much going on, the movie provided a lot of...

It's important to remember the ongoing controversial statements by the creator of the Harry Potter franchise. Cbr supports the hard work of industry professionals on properties fans know and love, and the wider world of Harry Potter that fans have adopted as their own. You can find Cbr's continuing coverage on Rowling here.
Throughout seven books, eight films, and a spin-off trilogy, Harry Potter has built one of the most complex, rich, and interesting fantasy worlds. With so many details here and there and elaborate character arcs, it makes sense that the fandom has created its own theories about some loose ends in the story.
The many Harry Potter theories that have emerged during the last 25 years add perspective and insight to the series, but some people take it too far.

“Healthy,” “vigorous,” and “fit to serve” were some of the words President Joe Biden’s physician used to describe history’s oldest president after a routine exam Thursday. But Stephen Colbert noted that some of the results aren’t in yet.
“Now, here’s the thing,” Colbert said. “We don’t have the full results yet, but we do know the president tested positive for ‘old af.'”
Biden went in for his annual physical earlier in the day at Walter Reed Hospital. He had a small lesion on his chest that was removed for a biopsy; the results are still pending. The president also had exams that showed his head, ears, eyes, nose, and throat were normal.
